Hey there. I'm Addison Blake. Orphan, college student, and amateur ghost whisperer.

Or at least I was until I was killed by the soul-eating demon trying to devour my best friend.

Okay, technically the demon didn't kill me. I killed it. But apparently no good deed goes unpunished, because the next thing I knew, I was enrolled at Reaper Academy, a schoo

Reaper Academy is the start of a new series. I’ve become hooked on Emily Goodwin's books and this is a great addition. I’ve wanted to read an academy book for a while and when this came up I was excited. It’s what I wanted and it was written by an author I like (Jasmine Walt is new to me). This is a page-turning read and easy to lose sleepover.

Addison Blake is a normal human girl who doesn’t fit in. Little does she know her quirks are because she doesn’t belong. One night her best fr

Reaper Academy had me super curious, leaving me desperate for a new paranormal series that would have me addicted. Unfortunately, I found myself disappointed by this one.

The story was extremely similar to a lot of I have read before, and I found myself working through it making comparisons to other similar books instead of finding things that made it stand out from the crowd. It made it difficult for me to be pulled into it, as I felt like I knew what was coming. In fact, I worked ou

Emily and Jasmine did an amazing job with the world building in this story. I loved the Angel-of-Death theme they had going for the back bone of this story.

Addison Blake is not your typical heroine but has managed to rise above the constant bullying. She didn’t understand her gift as a human, but all that changes when Addy comes across an attack on her best friend. Her mind is blown away when she discovers there is entire world filled with people she can relate to, only not all the s

Paranormal is one of my favorite genres to read so I am always on the look-out for a new book and these two authors teamed up and gave us a great read with the first book in a paranormal series filled with reapers, spells, demons and a bit of romance. Oh and I can’t forget the super hot professor and mysteriously vanishing students.

I just finished this book and all I can say is that I want more! When I saw that the Pre-Order for book 2 was already out I got super excited, but when I saw it was in April 2020, I almost threw my kindle across the room!😂

But for real, Reaper Academy: Semester One is SO FREAKING GOOD! If you like New Adult Paranormal Romances (ish), then this series is going to be a big hit for you. It was a little light on the romance, because it seemed to be setting up the world more than anything-

Reaper Academy: Semester One is the first book in the new series by collaborating authors Jasmine Walt and Emily Goodwin.

The story is different and I enjoyed it, but I do have some issues with it. I love stories that are set in schools and academies. But the Reaper Academy had too many similarities with Hogwarts for my tastes. There was the selection, the Houses, the different colors, a "sports" championship, the House's

OMG Reaper Academy is every YA paranormal romance lover dream book. If you are a Harry Potter fan you will love this story. There are so many similarities but there is definitely more action and intense sexual tension between students and between students and teachers.

Addy is a orphaned girl who soon realizes she is more special than your average human. She can see and speak with ghosts and all that leads to an adventure of self discovery that she will never forget.

5 EXCITING STARS!! Wow, what a great start to a new series. I absolutely loved this book....Addison is freaking fantastic. This book caught my attention from the first page and held me spellbound until the last word. Jasmine Walt and Emily Goodwin are perfect storyteller and I can't wait to read more books by these two.

This book was thrilling and adventurous. I was hooked from page one. I could not stop reading. I did not want to stop reading. I'm a sucker for a good paranormal book and this was beyond good.

Addison Blake gets thrown for a loop when she finds out something truly surprising.... She is a Reaper. Her life that she is living is not the life she was destined for. A chance encounter leads her to a whole new reality. A place where she feels like she belongs. A place where she makes long la

HOLY HELL this was such an exciting start to a new series by a dynamic duo! I have read a lot of Emily Goodwin, so I already know I'm addicted to her, but this is the first time that I've read Jasmine Walt, and I feel like I was missing out big time! These two talented authors mesh perfectly together penning Reaper Academy: Semester One, and I'm completely & utterly hooked! Really good read

Addison Blake, Addie for short, is a college student working on a degree in Architecture. She noticed somewhat early in life that she could see and speak to ghosts. In fact, her best friend is a ghost. This ability sets her apart in the regular mortal world and she never quite feels like she fits in. One bully in particular made her school age years pretty miserable. One day she encounters a demon, and a strange young man who says she is a Reaper. While she initially blows h

I did not see this book coming. It absolutely grabbed me by the heart and didn't let go. I fell for these characters HARD and this book as no stop from the absolutely start to that thrilling end. One of the best academy reads I have read this year.

Okay. But for real, if you love academy reads in the slightest, you will love this read. Addison was a woman who held her own. She was strong willed and her own person. I loved that she stuck to who she was and didn't let her new life changes, change

What do you get when you combine urban fantasy, reapers, demons, and sexy characters?

OBVIOUSLY, you get Reaper Academy, an all new paranormal urban fantasy by authors Emily Goodwin and Jasmine Walt.
I’ve been a long time fan of the many urban fantasy books floating around AmazonKindle. If you aren’t sure if its urban fantasy the covers will always give it away! Kickass looking characters wielding magic and fantasy worlds are key points and I am in love with Reaper Academy’s entire cover, Addie

Reaper Academy: Semester One is the first book in the Reaper Academy series. I have read Emily Goodwin’s books before but not any by Jasmine Walt.

This book wasn’t exactly what I was expecting. Although to be fair I was not sure what I was expecting Reaper Academy was very good and I loved reading it.

There’s a school for learning spells, how to use a scythe and how to be a reaper. The kids start school at the age of 13 and attend for 6-7 years. So far there are ghosts and demons.

Reaper Academy was a great read, and the story had so many twists and turns, which is something that I adore when reading a book. It help my attention, and was a rather quick read.

Addison is in an accident while fighting off demons, and she passes away.
Her soul ends up in Reaper Academy where everyone learns the ins and outs of being a reaper.

Okay, so this is not a book I normally read anymore, but since I’m part of Emily’s Master ARC Team I was provided an Advanced Readers Copy in exchange for my honest opinion and a review. So here we go I guess.

I was enthusiastically diving into this book, I used to read a lot of fantasy books, just not anymore because I always feel like I have to keep my attention on the book constantly instead of sometimes wandering off and then picking it right up. So it took some time getting back

This excellent read is an opening to a story of a very unusual young woman - Addy is the outcast in the human world, being ridiculed for talking to her imaginary friend. It's a curse for her, to be able to see and communicate with the ghosts, until the day she meets the demon, and the reaper hunting him. Being able to wield the scythe subscribes her automatically to the reaper academy, a place where many secrets are kept under wraps, students go missing without anyone investigating, and demonic ...more

I have always loved Jasmine Walt books and look forward to all her series that she has created as she is one of the few authors that is constant is allowing me to attain the reader movie view in my mind as I read her novels. After reading the Reaper Academy I need to look into Emily Goodwin. This was a good book for the begging of the series. Fabulous. What an amazing journey with a great new world or concept. Addy struggles as she is picked on because she can see ghosts and talks to them. Her best friend is a ghost. This makes her feel like she will never fit in but one night, something unexpected happens and a demon that she drew shows up and threatens her friend, Cass. She finds herself picking up a scythe and fighting. Next thing she knows, she is on another plane and part of the Reaper Academy because that is what she is. Now in ...more

Hell yeah!

I was sucked into this almost immediately. I mean...a ghost reading LOTR. What's not to love about that? Then...then...we move onto the main character's name. Addison Marie...it just so happens that I actually named my Addison Marie. So I felt a little kindred vibes with her. That and she's pretty awesome.

Seriously though, this was a great read. It's a pretty quick even pace. I didn't find myself in any slumps or scanning pages. This was a fresh new topic for me. I know Ac

I flove Reaper Academy! The non stop action, the mysteries surrounding Addy and the missing students, the demons, the reapers, everything just weaves together and makes this an unputdownable read!

I freaking loved how badass Addy and Cass were. These two besties may have tons of differences, but they are both bad ass in their own way. Addy is adjusting fast to Reaper life and I loved seeing her grow more confident everyday. She has lived with ridicule and bullying following her everyday and now

This book was fantastic! It was original, action-packed, so interesting and at times so much whit and fun!

The concept of a Reaper Academy was so intriguing, so unique. From the very first page I was captivated by the story, and especially by Addison. The world Emily Goodwin and Jasmine Walt paint is so magical. Like I can picture everything described so clearly, as if I am standing right there with Addison and Maxon.

I’m going to be completely honest: I’m not a big fan of academy books just because it’s close to/is NA/YA. However, I am a fan of one of the author’s writings so I knew it would be a good time. And, I wasn’t wrong. This book was well-written, had an interesting plot (it was similar to HP, but it was still unique in its own way), and I liked the characters especially Addy. She’s a kick-butt, smart protagonist who I like very much. I do admit, though, it annoyed me when she didn’t connect the dots ...more
