About the author

Tommy Nelson has served as the pastor of Denton Bible Church, located in Denton, Texas, since 1977. He is also a best-selling author (The Book of Romance, Better Love Now, A Life Well-Lived) and popular national marriage conference speaker. Nelson holds degrees in education and biblical studies and has been married to his wife Teresa for more than thirty years.

Tommy Nelson came to Golf Course Road Church Of Christ back in February 2004 to give his lectures on "The Song Of Solomon". I never realized it was a great guide to dating, relationships, & marriage, all written in such poetic form! It helped through this study that Tommy Nelson helps "crack the code" of archaic poetry to help discover & uncover timeless truths in romantic relationships, at every step along the way.

Great little guide--more meaty thank it looks.

Went through this one in a 14-person small-group setting, over a single semester. The content and approach was great not only for expanding the context and background for this most famous book of love poetry, but for provoking group discussion. While our group was geared toward married couples, I could see it being just as applicable to singles.
