All summer long I've been missing my cute lovey-dovey YA contemporary books. Somehow I had a hard time finding some this year, but then I found this book and was very eager to give it a try while hoping it will satisfy my need for cliche lovestories. :D

The concept of the story seemed really good, but if I had to describe this love story in one word it would be FAST! The story needs in my opinion more depth and has to go way deeper into details. Characteristics of the characters have

A fun bit of YA melodrama

The story is a little bit different & to be honest, I didn't find it particularly believable that the cool kids, or any other kind really, would be so willing to put themselves out for a new kid (among other things that happen), but I'm the kind of reader who can roll with a story, if it's not too incredible, so long as the author writes it believably, and she did a great job with it. I enjoyed it and will likely be reading the next book.

Cute, short, basic.

The story had tons of potential, but there was just very little depth. I really liked the idea of each of the characters, but they weren't given the time to be fleshed out like they needed. The story's plot was interesting enough, but formulaic--it rushed from beginning to end hitting all the right points, but not lingering anywhere important. I guess I just wanted more.

A cute read

I really enjoyed reading this. I breezed through it in three hours.. and one sitting... it’s fine 😏

Sophie really resonated with me. Finding who you are when you’ve been uprooted and reinvented so many times is hard, if not nearly impossible. I loved reading her story.
meh. my KU adventures continue. giving this 3 stars because i actually finished it but it was FRUSTRATING. don't get me wrong, i love a slow burn, but when it's a slow burn for contrived reasons... no. this had some potential and self-awareness at times, so idk, maybe i'd give this series another shot b/c i love boarding school-set stuff but... not rushing to do it

All over the place

Sophie was up, down, hot, cold. It was somewhat understandable given her circumstances, but still. She was so confusing and frustrating to read.
Overall, the book lacked depth.

Alright read.

Not sure what's so special about the new girl. She just seems like a regular girl but the popular boy, Wes falls for her. It's an alright book. Nothing special.
