As a young tyke of preschool age, school seems mysterious and exciting, especially when an older sibling shares bits and pieces of their experiences there. When Peter tells Lena she can come along with him to school one day, she finds herself enthralled by the entire experience.

A good introduction to a school day for younger siblings, and broad enough to cover most classrooms/schools despite its age and translation from Swedish. The detailed illustrations enliven the text and even display some distinctly Swedish elements. Very relatable in words and pictures for children everywhere.

I found this on openlibrary.org. Like lots of Lindgren's picture-books, it's fairly long. But I think that it's charming & interesting enough that all but the wriggliest children will enjoy it. Lena is five and Peter is seven.

Lena isn't a translated name for Lotta, is it? I don't think so, because Lotta has two older siblings, and apparently Lena only has Peter.

Sellele raamatule pool annavad juurde illustratsioonid.
