September 18, 2019Chamele Warlord Murad was on the trail of his enemy Tolui, but he is distracted by a ship that shouldn't be on the planet, so meeting his gerel - his life mate - will have to wait. And then again maybe not because the intruder, Gale, is his gerel! Gale is going to rescue her friend Zeta, who is with Khan, Murad's brother. Neither Gale nor Murad knows what's afoot. It's not that complicated, but many surprises await Gale and Murad. They had never seen each other but both loved the other's voice, and are more than pleased with what they see.
I adored Gale! She's feisty, she collects mementos because people always leave, things don't. This is so lovely, and even more wonderful later on. She loves her piece of outdated junk ship, it's her home. All her broken stuff distresses Murad, who loves his new technology, and how beautifully it all came together for them.
Even with the steamy scenes, WARLORD UNARMED is a very sweet romance. Murad is a warrior and the most endearing knight in skimpy leather armour ever; he is such a sweetheart. Both main characters' backstories are presented very cleverly, and Gale's made my heart ache. Gale stunned Murad a couple of times - this is so funny! - and if they bickered at the beginning, the banter thereafter was very charming and so much fun.
I found a character who is barely mentioned, Lysagh, very intriguing, and I can't wait to see what happens with Tolui, because there is much more to him than what we had seen before. I always love Cynthia Sax's depictions of strong women and true alpha males, but as I was writing this, it struck me how smoothly and convincingly she writes aliens (and cyborgs). They're very different from humans yet they don't seem "weird"; in fact, it's the other supposed alphas in "regular" - non sci-fi - romances who don't quite measure up to Cynthia Sax's heroes, and the same goes for her heroines, who are human. Interesting, no?
I give 4.5 stars

Never a dull moment! ♥️💙
My, oh my! These Chamele Warriors are a handsome bunch. Murad is no exception! Murad has a sense of humor, jokes a lot, but it doesn’t take Gale long to figure him out: “...it’s an act, isn’t it?” Gale’s traumatic youth has had an enduring effect on her behaviors. I love the growing familiarity between Murad and Gale. When she feels in control of the situation, she isn’t fearful. They needed time alone for her feelings to develop, although the appeal is readily apparent for both of them. Adversaries keep this story on the edge of danger, and there’s an intriguing encounter with the enemy. I love the author’s word-pictures and innate sense of humor deftly woven into the story, creating a fun, exciting, and vivid tale to read.

Warlord Murad knew who is gerel was. She was safe or he thought she was. Gale is a bounty hunter and is on a mission. She wants to make sure her friend Zeta is safe but her travels become wrecked. Her ship is put together with a lick and a prayer and it might not make the journey. Murad isn’t about to let his gerel Gale to come to harm. He will protect her with his life.
These two are funny. When they meet Murad finds her funny but determined. Gale sees him as being a big jerk. But they both have the hots for the other. It is a bit heartbreaking with Gale’s past. I wanted to cry for her. And you have to love that you see her strength in protecting Murad. He may be the Warlord but she has got moxie. I can’t wait to read about Elle and Berke.

Interesting and entertaining
I love the depth the author gives to her characters. They’re interesting, multi-facetted, and endearing, causing the reader to fall in love with them and root for their success. Gale and her Warlord each had their own issues to overcome, and watching them succeed together was truly rewarding. I seriously can’t wait for Burke’s story, and to find out what will happen with their enemy.

Another awesome story
I love the Cyborg universe and all its spinoffs. It's a fun verse with lots of fantastic stories.
I thought Gale and Murad's story was great. It was really funny when she stunned him. I like how strong Gale is and how she is always reminding Murad that she is a bounty hunter and can take care of herself. I think that she has fantastic confidence and strength.
I can't wait for the next book. I'm sure it will be explosive.

Another feisty independent bounty-hunting beauty bags herself an alpha hero. Cynthia Sax' cyborg/warlord universe is as steamy was ever, and nobody does tough girls like Ms. Sax.

Fun book
I was so happy to get this book in my library this week and I had to immediately devour it in one sitting! It was fun and fast and full of feels! I live the interactions between this couple and I definitely recommend this book!

As always Cynthia Sax wrote a winner. I loved Murad and Gale. They each had their own personal issues but together they worked them out and are a stronger couple for it. Strong characters that you could see yourself befriending.

Stranded
Stranded with a sexy Warlord what more can you ask for? Oh I know him being conscience would help lol. I loved Murad and his snarky humor especially in dark moments when needed. Gale might be a human but she's a human with a mission to not lose anything or anyone else.

Murad, a technology-loving Chamele Warlord, is determined to track down the rogue warrior plaguing the Chamele planets. When an old battered ship enters the sector without authorization, Murad hails the ship and hears the voice of the sole occupant, who happens to be his mate.
Murad and Gale’s story was surprisingly emotional and sweet. Gale spent her childhood being abandoned by everyone she cared for so she has extreme abandonment issues. This has caused her to become a hoarder of items discarded by those she lets close. When she starts to fall for Murad she struggles to get over her fear of him leaving her. There are a lot of emotional scenes in this book of Gale internally panicking about the possibility of being left again. Also of his reaction to finding out she sometimes steals things. Gale was a heroine that I surprisingly really liked. Her past is heartbreaking but she has become a strong woman, even with her mental issues.
Murad is the cheerful brother but that doesn’t stop him from being deadly. I liked that he was very understanding of Gale’s fears and triggers. He takes his time with her and shows her how much he cherishes her. Murad also opens up about his own insecurities with his brothers, which I absolutely loved. I love a hero who isn’t afraid to open up about his fears.
Overall, this was a very enjoyable alien romance. Both of these characters were well developed and very emotional. I can’t wait to start the next book because it is Burke’s and he is in for a rude awakening with Elle.

Male And Female Warriors
If you love strong men and women getting their HEA, you’ll love the books in this series!
Chamele men are big, strong, possessive and protective warriors hoping to one day find their genetically unique mate, their gerel or light in their darkness. And their gerel, mostly human women, are strong, stubborn, sassy warriors in their own way. The stories are full of funny dialogues, steamy scenes, fighting and loving. Wonderful entertainment, I loved them all.

This series is actually interesting. Even though theres not too much drama and suspense, it gives a much needed change of pace. All the books ive read in this series thus far has been mostly straightforward and the main focus if the books have been the relationship between the male and female leads. I'm very much enjoying myself!

The heroine is depressing. She is constantly talking about how she was an orphan, everybody leaves her, and she's a hoarder who keeps all these drawings and trinkets and broken knife sheaths as memories because her objects can't leave her.

When Gale doesn't hear from her BFF Zeta she mans a one girl rescue mission only to have her space craft encounter mechanical problems.
Murad, brother to Khan is sent to repair Gale's ship he does so reluctantly as he has much better things to do. It only takes one look and sniff of Gale to realize she's his gerel. Getting her to realize that they're bound together for eternity though may be a little more difficult than he thought. Especially as she has an itchy trigger finger with her stun gun and keeps saying she needs to leave.
Straightforward story line that features the meeting and romance between Murad and Gale. I love those alien warrior types who get all dominant and controlling over their women. Of course life would get boring if the mate wasn't a strong female herself who can take on said alien and take him down a time or two herself. The battle of the sexes will never get boring for me.
My disappointment has more to do with back stories and depth to the characters. This can definitely be read as a standalone because there isn't any series plot mention that any first time reader will loose out on. There is only mention of the names of the characters from the first installment. Having more 'personality' for the H/h would have definitely improved my emotional connection to root for the HEA outcome.
I'd also like to mention the adult content erotica scenes. The heat factor is definitely appararent and I did feel the two had chemistry. However. The scenes were a bit clinical and without effective mental imagery for me to be able to enjoy. I do think that may be a partial reason I didn't get the happy happy joy joy emotion when I finished reading this story.
Overall, I'm a fan of the series though I do hope to be able to get more into the world building and characters which would definitely improve my feeling for this series.

Well, the premise is very intriguing, but I don't think the execution quite lived up to my expectations.
1. the heroine talks to herself...totally weirded me out.
2. I didn't really *believe* her emotional issues about being "returned" because we never get any specifics. It's left as a hazy indeterminate.
3. There wasn't much "we" time to show Gale and Murad falling for each other. It's a headlong plummet into "I love you" which I'm usually okay with but this time...? For some reason, I couldn't connect to it.
4. The book was rather short, which squashed the plot a bit. I would love to see this story take its time, but alas...

Warlord Unarmed is a sensuous but lighthearted story of two people being forced to face the truth about themselves and how they feel abut each other. Being stranded on a planet, even an Eden as this one turns out to be might bring out the worst in them, but it may also bring them closer together.
This story should be read along with its companion pieces, Warlord’s Bounty, and Warlord Reunited, and Warlord’s Mercy.

Warlord Unarmed was even better than Warlord Bounty and I thought that one was great! Gale is an absolute doll that I completely sympathized with and Murad is a sexy, funny, dangerous, hunk of a man who insists on being taken seriously. And wow, did Gale take him . . . seriously, that is. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was hot, had great characters, and a lot of humor. What more could you ask from an erotic romance?

This is the story of Gale, Zeta's friend; and Murad, the Joker brother of Khan in the first book. It describes how they survived in Murad's planet after Gale's ship is destroyed. The passion between them flares pretty fast, and Gale have trust issues to deal with. I wish there are fight scenes but I still enjoyed the sequence of events. I'm really curious with the eldest brother, which I will definitely read later.

Sweet story between Murad and Gale. I felt as though Murad was everything Gale needed, she just needed the time to convince herself of that.
