Field Photography: Beginning and Advanced Techniques

Field Photography aims at nothing less than making it possible for readers to produce professional-quality nature photographs. Author Alfred Blaker - former Head of the University of California Scientific Photographic Laboratory - gives clear and proven advice on how to obtain publication-grade photographs under a wide variety of field conditions.
Here is a helpful information on choosing the correct films, lenses, and processing methods; obtaining correct exposures under normal, adverse, and unusual lighting conditions; using flash for a wide variety of purposes; infrared and ultraviolet photography; the selection and use of filters; the Zone-system and its variants; high-resolution 35-mm photography, ecologically sound field photography; and many other topics.
Each book comes with a separate Field Supplement, containing those charts, tables, formulas, and supporting data (taken from the book) that the photographer needs to carry into the field.

Field Photography is illustrated with more than 70 original photographs (21 in full color) and 85 drawings, and the entire book is printed on high-quality paper. The black-and-white plates have been reproduced by a duotone process that gives them a quality closely approximating the original photographs.

Very technical book about analog photography in the field.
These older techniques can be still used in our digital world.
Difficult to read and understand.
