Insecurities abound when Levi and Sage meet but the chemistry they feel keeps them off kilter while trying to solve a series of robberies occurring in Sapphire Falls. Can they solve the mysterious crimes and keep their hearts safe or will they fall...An awesome beginning to this series!! Looking forward to the next book!!😍😍😍

A great start to a new series by this author! The characters were well developed and the storyline is intriguing. This story centers around Levi and Sage and their convoluted romance. Levi started a security company in a small town where they don’t get much business but he stays afloat doing business in neighboring towns. He is in desperate need of a security expert and he thinks Sage fits the bill so he hires Sage site unseen, only when he meets Sage he can’t be more put off. She (and

This is the first book in a new series. I felt bad that Sage had lost so much monetarily as well as emotionally. I know it was hard for her most of her adult life with being in the Army, proving herself in a man’s world, and feeling discriminated against since she was a woman. Levi sure didn’t make a good impression with Sage when he found out she was a woman and he thought she was a man. Levi does not trust women because of his past, so I can understand somewhat where he is coming from. I loved ...more

This is the 1st book in a new series from this talented author. Levi is retired from the military and has started a security company in a small town. Sage is hired unseen, and when she turns up for work, Levi is a total chauvinist as he thought she was a man. Sage was in the army for 15 years and returned home to care for her ill dad, but when he passed she is financially forced to accept the job with Levi. This is a well written story which had me hooked and intrigued throughout, and I look for ...more

What a great way to start a new series.
Levi, desperately needing help, hires someone named Sage, thinking that it is a man, not realizing that Sage is a beautiful woman.
Sage has been in the Army for 15 years, but now wants to put down roots. When she gets the job with Levi, she realizes that he thought she was a man. Well now, that just irks her to no end. She thinks that he is a chauvinist caveman.
Will Levi and Sage get past their original thoughts about each other and play well together?

Sage has just moved to a new town, after accepting a job as a security consultant. She'll only be there for two weeks but, her boss, Levi, is truly a huge Chauvinist!!! That's okay, she's dealt with that in the 15 years she spent in the Armed Forces and, she'll take this jerk down, too!!! Well, maybe after she works with him for a while and, dreams of some friends with benefits action, if that's possible with a man who frustrates her to no end!
Levi is shocked when the security expert he hired, h

Heart Thief, Bluegrass Security is a fabulous contemporary romance by P.J. Fiala. Once I started this book I didn't want to put it down, so you've been warned. Ms. Fiala has provided a cast of characters that is outstanding and is my favorite thing about this book. This is a well-written smooth read. Levi is looking forward to the new guy he hired arriving to help him train Chuck. Sage has just finished paying her father's medical bills and his funeral, she's looking forward to working so she ca ...more

This is a sink into cozy up read. Not to heavy, some heat, few twist and turns. Put that with great writing and It is one to read. Sage is a strong woman finding her place after leaving the military and losing her father. Levi has a small security business after his stint in the military and some personal demons to deal with. Together they can make a great team. Looking forward to reading more in the series. I received a free copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving a review.

I enjoyed this book. It was an easy story to read. I felt that this story was written a while ago, because I have read some other books by Ms Fiala and they were more exciting to read - which means she has developed her writing style. So it was a good read. I think the transformation of Sage to a more daring and feminine heroine could have come more to the surface, but then maybe, that’s just me. Also the development of Levi’s character would have been welcome, so to understand why the two heroe

I just finished reading an early copy of Heart Thief and if this book is any indication, this is going to be a great series! (Note- I have come to realize that this story is a reissue of Missing The Spark which was published in 2016 however I have never read that version) Levi Jacobson is the owner of LJS. It's his private security business in Sapphire Falls. It's a quaint town but it has been having a lot of recent break-ins and with a busy upcoming festival taking place Levi has hired a tempor ...more

I received this book as an ARC for a voluntary and honest review. This is the first book of Ms. Fiala's Bluegrass Security series. In this book we meet many of the characters who will be the subject of future books. Levi settled on Sapphire Falls when he got out of the military simply by throwing a dart at a map. It's a quaint small town which has been very open to his security business, mostly home security monitoring. But he also does a little investigating with the local PD. Sage is hired by ...more

Sage is a bit of a drifter after getting out of the military, and she ends up in a small town named Sapphire Falls, and gets a job with a security company, as she's in deep debt. She feels an instant attraction for her new boss, Levi, who quickly shows her that he's a misogynist douche. They're first job together is finding out who is responsible for the string of burglaries in town, on top of getting to know each other, although both of them are dealing with things in their pasts, so their wall ...more

Oh my y'all... I wasn't sure how I was gonna feel about Sage she has a hardness to her you gotta get used to. But noone is more jaded than Levi ... and when he realizes he hired a girl sight unseen it almost doesn't end well. This author definitely has me intrigued and wanting more. These two both have emotional scars and they each have lots of hurt. I kept wondering if Sage was still gonna leave after two weeks. These two do have amazing chemistry though ... and seeing his and her people mix an ...more

Levi is surprised by his new hire, Sage. He doesn't have feelings for women, but she surprises him.
Sage doesn't like playboy chauvinistic men but Levi surprises her.
They're caught up in a mystery and the reaction between the two is believable. Dirks and Viv cause humouress confusion.

This story was a short, sweet and happy ever after to say the least. Sage and Levi try to understand their relationship. It's a nice little hometown story with friendly people and good old country living. This is one where you will be happy with who and why they find the there way into each others life. Excellent read! I give it 5 stars. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book as an Advanced Reader's Copy.

I really enjoy when other authors I enjoy reading write in one of my favorites series. Such is the case with Heart Thief.

Sapphire Falls is one of my all-time favorite series and PJ Fiala does a great job making Heart Thief a seamless part of the series.

The book has just the right amount or romance and suspense.

Looking forward to reading the next book in the Bluegrass Security series.

Levi and Sage get off to a rocky start when they first meet, but they can't ignore the sparks that fly and their instant attraction. Working together to solve a string of robberies, their attraction continues to grow and Levi must learn to trust a woman again. The story was a little slow at times, but over all an enjoyable read with great characters.

I received a free copy of the full length novel Heart Thief: Bluegrass Security Book 1 by PL Fiala and this review was given freely.
A mildly steamy fasted paced seasonal Holiday romantic suspense featuring ex-military characters and set in small town Sapphire Falls, Nebraska at Halloween. The book opens with attraction and a controversy but ultimately ends happily. LJS security business owner Levi must juggle solving a rash of break ins, training new staff, pressure from his best friend t

After years in the military and a broken heart, Levi decided to open a security business in a small town. With business increasing he needed another employee. He was shocked when realized who Sage was.

Sage had been in the military most of her life. After her father's funeral and in debt she needed a job in order to open her own security company. She was surprised by Levi's attitude. Men. There was also a chemistry between them she chose to put aside due to his rude behaviour.

I was born in a suburb of St. Louis, Missouri named Bridgeton. During my time in Missouri, I explored the Ozarks, swam in the Mississippi River, played kickball and endless games of hide and seek with the neighborhood kids. Spending summers in Kentucky with my Grandmother, Ruth, are the fondest childhood memories for me.

At the age of thirteen, my family moved to Wisconsin to learn to farm. Yes, l
