Silver SEALs #11

SEAL for Hire

Rate this book
He was hired to hunt her down.
Former Navy SEAL Commander Ryan Marchetti hates the fancy consulting job he’s taken after retirement from the Teams. So when the Assistant Director of the DHS offers him a contract to hunt down an assassin, he leaps at the chance, even if it means hunting down his former lover. He must focus on the mission and ignore Sutton McRaven’s sharp wit and way-too-sexy body, and bring the only woman he’s ever loved to justice.

She wasn’t ready to be caught.
CIA Agent Sutton McRaven found the life she’d always wanted in the CIA, one filled with adventure, and doing what’s best for the country she loves. But after her best friend dies, she finds herself anchorless and longing for a home. When she receives a mysterious call, Sutton investigates, only to discover another friend murdered, and all evidence marking her as the killer. She needs to stay free to clear her name and find justice, but Ryan Marchetti, a man used to tracking high profile targets has set his sights on her. Sutton must use all her knowledge to escape and evade the man who’d once captured, and then rejected, her heart.

But only together would they survive.
As Ryan closes in on Sutton, the real killer is still free, and Sutton’s the next target. The chase becomes darker and deadlier, with stakes higher than either could have imagined. Stalked by a ruthless killer, the two must learn to trust each other, or end up dying alone.

SEAL for Hire is a stand-alone military romantic suspense with a second chance romance and enough thrills to keep your heart pounding.

I’m so thoroughly enjoying this Silver Seals books. Even tho the authors are different the quality and stories are all amazing. I’m a big fan of this authors Edge Security series so I was excited to see where the connection came from. I’m saying now I would love Dante’s book. Him and Mack. Awesome match up. Just saying lol. The thrill and suspense this book had was amazing I was hooked from page one to the end! Ryan and Sutton once meant everything to each other. Misunderstandings and circumstances forced them apart. Now 10 years later they reconnect Altho not how they both would have liked. What follows is a tale of suspense, intrigue and a deep seated love between these two characters with a great supporting cast. Fabulous story.

After burying her best friend, Sutton McRaven took a break from her CIA duties to follow that friend's advice and do something she loved, take pictures.

Now back, she has a cryptic message from another friend and then finds him dead. Unfortunately all signs point to her being the murderer and then another agent shows up dead. Being framed is not something Sutton will take lying down, and she certainly won't turn herself in to be lock up from finding the truth.

When Silas Branson calls Ryan Marchetti, a former SEAL Commander, he is realizing he's bored with this whole corporate instructor thing. He's really hoping that what Silas has for him is more exciting than being behind a desk.

As Silas introduces him to the people from several agencies that make up his team, he also gets a shock as to the mission.

His ex Sutton is the primary suspect in agent's deaths and the theft of classified information. The team is to find her and bring her in for questioning.

Circumstances being what they are Sutton knows she has to prove her innocence and returns to Mark's apartment hoping for clues to clear her of his murder.

This of course is where Ryan will find her and she will find out the magnitude of the charges against her.

These two have a lot of history and the attraction is still there for both of them. Even though they do their best to ignore it.

Interesting challenges, suspense, lots of hold your breath moments and a slow build up to the outcome they both really want.

Trish Loye is a new to me author and with this book she has gained a new fan. I am going to have to check out her other books.

He’s a retired SEAL for Hire💕

Ryan retired from the SEAL teams and now is consulting on leadership, when he gets a call to consult on a mission from Silas Branson, another well known retired SEAL. When Ryan arrives and gets the information on who Silas wants him to track, he’s surprised when he learns that it’s Sutton, the woman he’s loved for over a decade but also the one that got away❣️They believe she’s a traitor and selling CIA secrets, they need to bring her in and he’s the best man for the job😁

Sutton is devastated after losing her co-worker and friend Anna on a previous mission and takes off for some RnR. When she returns, it’s clear someone is trying to frame her for murders along with selling secrets and she needs to find out who and quickly, before she’s the next casualty. When Ryan catches up to her, can they work as a team or will they always be a separated by their past?

I loved this story of Ryan and Sutton and that it deals with a second chance romance💕 This story had everything in it that I expect from a Trish Loye story...danger, intrigue, anxiety and best of all a second chance to be with the man you love😍 I hope Dante is next in the pipeline for EDGE and keen to see who he gets paired up with❣️

Prepare to get sucked into the story....
I'm in awe when I think that a story I love comes from a writer's imagination. Especially if it feels real, and well written. In Seal For Hire, we meet a former Navy Seal turned consultant/instructor-Ryan and his ex-lover, CIA agent, possible traitor-Sutton. Once a Seal, it's hard to adjust to civilian life, so when he gets offered a contract by DHS to hunt down an assassin, he jumps at the chance to get back into the action he was trained for. What he doesn't realize is that his target is the "one that got away", the former love of his life, Sutton. Having been cleverly framed for murder, Sutton goes on the run in an effort to find a way to clear her name. When she discovers Ryan is the one hunting her down, she has to decide if she can risk trusting him to help, not bring her in. They are so well matched in abilities and intelligence that their actions and responses to each other make it feel like they are playing a clever and super sexy game of cat and mouse. It is so much fun watching them interact. "She knew exactly what she was up against...Pissing him off would only make him hunt her harder, but she embraced the challenge..." Only the consequences of the overall game are deadly if she loses and can't find the real traitor. Can Sutton and Ryan eventually work together to uncover the real traitor in a way that doesn't compromise his reputation or her life? Can they heal the personal rift between them at the same time? I loved this book. It grabs you and doesn't let go. Basically the story is one big buildup to another until the explosive climax at the end. Hee hee hee...Pun intended:) I received an ARC and was happy to honestly review.

Entry number eleven in the Silver Seals series did not disappoint - but Trish Loye books rarely, if ever, do!

The story grips you from the beginning as CIA covert op Sutton is summoned to a fellow agent's home by a cryptic voicemail. Upon arrival, she is met by a shock and a life-threatening situation. As she chases the intruder/attacker out of her friend's apartment, she is somehow mistaken as the criminal. And then she discovers she is being hunted by a secret team of interdepartmental experts, led by former Navy Seal (and Sutton's former lover) Ryan, who believe she is selling information on double agents to other nations.

Ryan brings in his cousin, Dante (from Life's E.D.G.E. series), to assist him and the few members of his team that he trusts. They believe Sutton is innocent and are determined to both prove it and keep her alive.

Sutton and Ryan discover that feelings they thought they had buried are still surfacing and that a second chance at a relationship may just be possible - if they survive.

This was a great, edge-of-your-seat read that had several twists and turns. I hope there is a follow-up novel that focuses on the implied interest between Dante and FBI profiler (and human lie-detector) Mack.

I highly recommend this one!

I received an ARC of this book from the author in exchange for a fair and honest review.

This is the PERFECT story to get lost in.
Ryan and Sutton fell in love and were supposed to start a life together then it all fell apart.
Now ten years later...
Ryan Marchetti, former Navy Seal commander has become bored with his consulting job. So he couldn’t be more excited when the head of DHS offers him a chance to get back out in the field for a secret mission to hunt down an assassin in the CIA.
The prime suspect is Sutton McRaven, his sunshine, the only woman he’s ever loved. And the one he could never forget is accused of murder and selling out CIA operatives.
Sutton loves her job in the CIA but when her friends start turning up dead all eyes are on her. She’s gets the shock of her life when she comes face to face with her past. He’s still hot, sexy and his sights are set on her. Sutton’s not ready to give up yet and let Ryan take her into custody. But neither is Ryan. He let her go once. That’s not gonna happen again. Maybe a contract between them can benefit them both.
Can they trust each other and work as a team to prove her innocence and catch a killer?

I have really enjoyed most of the books in this series, and this was the perfect time to read one by an author new to me. After reading it, I have become a fan.
The story centers around Ryan Marchetti and Sutton McRaven. Ryan a retired SEAL , currently is a consultant/teacher. A job he finds boring. Sutton is a CIA agent that likes to work on her own and the woman that broke his heart years ago. Currently she is investigating the death of an agent and ends up being labeled a traitor.
When Ryan is approached by Silas from DHS and a former SEAL, to help in a mission, he jumps at it. But the caveat, Ryan has to hunt and capture Sutton . No matter what they say, he believes she’s innocent.
This story is one of the best of the series. The plot is full of non-stop suspense, and is filled with bad guys and whodunit. The main characters are complex and likable, as are the secondary characters. And of course, there is the attraction between Ryan and Sutton. Will they survive the mission and get a second chance?
A winner by this talented author.
I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

Loved this story that has a good mix of action, suspense, and sexual tension between Ryan and Sutton. There was also an intersting mix of secondary characters on the team headed by Ryan and hopefully we will get their stories next, especially Dante's.

Sutton seems to be responsible for the killing of two CIA agents and is working to try to clear her name. Ryan is tasked with finding her and bringing her in. But does he trust his instinct that she is innocent? Or has she changed so much since he last saw her that she is now a traitor? And can both of them put aside their attraction to each other to solve the mystery of who seems to be leaking information? This story will keep you on the edge of your seat and guessing as to who the culprit is.

Seal for Hire

WOW! This story was totally intense right from the gitgo. I like second chance love stories. Sutton was CIA while Ryan was a Seal. When they were younger, their careers got in the way of their relationship. Now many years later Sutton is in trouble when her friends are killed. Ryan is hired to bring Sutton in and find the traitor and murderer. The person who is the traitor was the person I didn't expect at all. He was supposedly a friend of Sutton's. He killed her best friend. Sometimes you think you know a person only to find out they are a traitor. Once this mission is completed and Sutton is cleared of all charges, these two start working on their happily ever! FANTASTIC job Trish! I would recommend this book.

CIA Agent Sutton McRaven is on the run and trying to find a killer for a murder that she is the prime suspect off. Ex-Navy Seal Ryan Marchetti is hired to track a killer and traitor. He is happy to take a break from his consulting gig, but not happy when he realises the person, he must find is the woman he still loves. If you like to read a story that is high adrenaline action-packed with heart pounding suspense, an intelligent strong female character that fights like an MMA fighter and a big bad sexy Navy Seal with sizzling attraction between them, then SEAL for Hire is the book to read. Excellently written. It kept me on the edge of my seat!

SEAL for Hire by Trish Loye was a great read with lots of suspense, a touch of mystery, danger and just maybe a second chance. The characters were well written and so darn likable. Ryan Marchetti a retired Navy SEAL commander is a bit bored at his consulting job and is intrigued when Assistant Director comes to him with a mission to hunt down an assassin and it becomes a bit personal when he here's the name Sutton McRaven. Sutton McRaven a CIA Agent has found that being in the CIA is the life she has always, until things take a turn and sends her running for her life. This is just the start to one fantastic speeding ride. I highly recommend this story.

Good book

I enjoyed this book that’s full of action from the start. Sutton is accused of treason and she’s running for her life while trying to solve the mystery of who the real traitor is. She’s reunited with Ryan, who, she still loves. They have chemistry that gets them burning hot for each other until they pull back as neither wants to reveal their feelings. This is action packed with twists that has you guessing and wondering how it’ll all get solved. Exciting book that kept my attention. This is my first book from this author and I’m interested enough to check out other books from her.

SEAL For Hire is one spectacular book to read if you like: hard hitting action; edge of your seat moments that keep you turning the page; a resourceful savvy smart CIA operative; and a a former SEAL Commander who is an impressive team leader and darn good at his job. Add a couple of quirky FBI agents and a slew of bad guys and it just gets better.

Trish Loye is a new to me author. I really liked her characters and the storyline was interesting, fast paced and suspenseful. She really does the Silver SEALs brand proud with this entry.

Lot action. Once again assuming causes years of hurt and separation. Why can’t these people confront and ask questions instead of assuming. Raven and Ryan had so much respect for each other’s jobs and loved each other but would not give up heir jobs. Cost them big time.
It seems fate and a crisis brought them together. A lot of pain, death, trust issues almost destroyed them. Luckily their trained skills, love, heart and determination helped root out the enemy and realize the are soulmates.

This is a great addition to the Silver Seal's series! Trish Loye has a way with words and knows how to write a book full of suspense, action ( my body ached for Sutton when i read it ) and intrigue. Ryan and Sutton meet after 10 years when he's been asked to bring down an assassin only he doesn't know its' he's ex lover CIA agent Sutton McRaven. This book is fast paced and you won't be disappointed ! I starated out reading her Edge of Security series and this book is just as good.

Seal For Hire: Fantastic writing, characters and loved the suspense! I loved the surprises throughout the story! I loved how hard Ryan and Sutton tried not to show their true feelings, but everyone else knew the truth. Even though Sutton tried everything to ditch Ryan she knew they work well together. He would never give up and trying to convince Sutton they need to work together. She just had a hard time trusting people. I loved the story so much!

No damsel, lots of hot stress

Wow the action never stopped in this story. My heart was elevated over all of the questions. Who is the rat, what crazy thing will Sutton do next, where are the good guys, why can't we all go to the beach house? All questions are answered beautifully so grab this book and prepare to enjoy!

Combining sizzle hot connection with an intense story line, Seal for Hire delivers a powerful punch.

I loved the adventure/suspense - it kept me intrigued and turning the page without seeming too ott. The history and desire between Ryan and Sutton sparked brilliantly from the moment they saw each other (and not in person). They needed to find their compromise, balance, and figure out how to get on the same page, and watching that work itself out was a treat. Of course, Ryan having to hunt down Sutton the fugitive was an interesting twist.

Despite my growls with some of Sutton's choices, like Ryan, I persevered to see below her persona to the real Sutton.

This was my first Trish Loye story and I look forward to discovering more of her stories, specifically if Dante has his own book yet.

Will they find the traitor????

An excellent read within this series by multiple authors. Sutton is grieving her best friends death and is just about to go back to work but something is going on. It's not until another friend turns up dead and another agent is murdered that she finds herself on the run and wanted by most of the agencies who think she is a traitor to her country for selling her fellow agents lives. Ryan has been given a job by Silas to seek out the traitor. With him realising that he has to go after his ex and all the while staying alive, will they realise what they mean to each other???? Will they find the traitor to their country in time?????? I am loving the books in this series. They stories are great, I love the characters and the twists and turns that are played out are just magnificent.

Ryan and Sutton

Oh, this journey was exciting, full of drama, intrigue and so much action. That Ryan and Sutton were surprised by the other, considering their past, is mild when their feelings needed to be shut off in order to complete a mission, stay alive and find the real traitor. All that suppressed "emotion" was quite the build up, so I had this anticipation in the back of my mind. I do wish they would have just spit it out, instead of the back and forth of assuming what the other felt or wanted. That kind of stopped the flow for me.
Still an awesome, page turning read with a beautiful beachy HEA!

Traitor

First I'd love to thank Trish loye and Abbie Zanders for the privilege of receiving this ARC, I'm a huge fan of military books especially Navy Seal's, the suspense in this book holds you till the end hoping the good guys and girls win against a government traitor, you don't see it coming who has betrayed you, it's true it's the least likely suspect. I have read many of this series, Silver Seal's and have never been disappointed and that holds true with this one, I hope to see more of Ryan and Sutton in future books, to all the authors of this series I thank you for such an amazing series, thank you again, Dana

Loved this book!

I couldn’t wait for this book to come out! I believe it’s been over a year since her last book.

Seal for Hire has it all, a great story line, lots of suspense and action with a second chance romance to round everything out.

Ryan and Sutton parted ways for 10 years, but as soon as these two meet again sparks begin to fly! The action starts on page one and continues right to the end in the search of a CIA traitor.

I really hope Dante gets his own book soon, there seemed to be something there with a certain someone in this story. Hopefully this can be a prequel for a new series!

Be prepared to stay up late reading. This will keep you turning the pages because you will want to know what happens next before you can go to sleep. It will definitely keep you interested and the suspense at each turn will have your heart beat a little faster until you know if Ryan will turn Sutton in or if they are going to actually trust each and work together. The closer they get to finding the killer and the traitor the more dangerous it gets. Will they find the killer? Who is the traitor? What will happen with Sutton and Ryan when this is all said and done?
