“These Carrington men… You can’t help but love them.” Over the past few years, fans of Sarah Monzon’s Carrington Family series have fallen in love with the Carrington brothers (Trent, Michael, and Adam) and have been eagerly awaiting younger sister Amber’s story. The wait is finally over! With You Here captivates readers with a heartwarming story that demonstrates the power of/>“These

What a delight to read Amber Carrington's story, younger sister of Trent, Michael and Adam, protective brothers all. Some of my favorite moments in the book are the interactions between the siblings, their love interests and parents. I love how they're such a close-knit family providing such a strong support system for each other, and are instantly available when Amber needs them.

I also love all the sassy teasing and humor. That helps soften the more serious topics that Amber and Seth struggle

"What do we have in common? Nothing. You, with your perfect little family - parents still married, doting brothers - your suburban, picket-fence life. What do you know of hardship? . . . . So take your messiah complex and go somewhere you're actually wanted . . . . No one needs you here."

And that was the crux of the matter . . . . her calling. Amber Carrington had just flown thousands of miles to volunteer her services among refugees seeking shelter in Germany, in order to

Sometimes it seems like you bump into a book exactly when you need it. “With You Always” was like that.

It touched some tender issue to me and I have to wrap my heart around this story before I can write a proper review.

Needless to say, I liked this book. A lot.

Have you ever felt called to do something or had a dream, a conviction? In this story, we find two women whose hearts are determined to stand strong even though others say they are wrong.
“God doesn’t call the equipped, Amber. He equips the called.”
These are words Amber Carrington heard and had to be reminded of because even though she had a strong feeling of being “called” to minister to others, she felt she was lacking experience.

Another great book in this series!

My rating is 4.5 stars

Amber Carrington had been called by God to minister as a hospital chaplain. She was so clear about this calling, she enrolled in Bible College and endured years of men questioning her right to be there. Yet, when questioned by a girl in the hospital about how she could possibly know what she was going through, she began to question everything and ran away to Germany to do some soul searching while helping children at

Wow! This book deserves ALL the stars!!

There is so much to love about this multi-faceted story! I’d be hard-pressed to choose a favorite timeline, as they are both engaging and endearing. The characters are dynamic and they each have their own compelling story to tell. I was captivated right from the start and held in delight as each beguiling moment was expertly revealed with eloquent details that swept me off my feet and into the very heart of the stories.

I enjoyed traveling back

Y’all, Ms. Monzon creates wonderful, swoon-worthy heroes that will make you sigh with the romance of it all and put you right in your feelings. With Seth Marshall, she knocked it out the park. (Or should I say GOAL!! since he’s a soccer player?) He’s charming, witty, and a bad boy who’s been redeemed. S.W.O.O.N!

And Amber Carrington is a girl I’d befriend. She has a heart for Jesus and a desire to help his people. What more could you want in a friend? Plus I kind of adore her brothers

Sarah Monzon concludes the Carrington Family series with a character many of us who have grown up in the church can relate to.

Amber Carrington doubts her call to ministry. As someone who came to Christ early and didn’t stray, she feels she has no testimony and cannot relate to those she longs to minister to. It takes a trip to Germany, a football (aka soccer) star, some encouragement from her big brothers, and the story of a centuries ago princess’s convictions to open Amber’s eyes a

WOW!! I totally love Sarah Monzon’s books. She's an extremely talented author!
Writing a story with a dual time line must not be easy and she accomplishes it with a fresh and natural approach, blending both stories in a unique novel that is thought provoking and life changing. You fly from one story to the other without effort, seamlessly. This is the first thing, that you get two beautiful stories in the same book!
But the best is that both stories are awesome!

"Admitting that something in him recognized something in her sounded too much like a sappy chick flick. A rotten sappy chick flick."

I am new to Sarah Monzon's Carrington Family series but am overwhelmed by my love for the family after reading this book. Though it's the last in the series, it can absolutely be read as a stand-alone and I didn't feel like I missed out on any of the backstory of Amber's older brothers since the author highlights what the reader needs to know. Bravo! Ms. Monzon has written a strong finale with this last book in the Carrington series. With the final story centered around Amber, it was nice to have a couple of cameo appearances of other family members. However, this can definitely be read as a standalone. After reading Amber's story, I am tempted to revisit her brothers' stories. This is a fictional family that is easy to love.

Ms. Monzon has given us two fictional heroines separated by several centuries. Both women

Meaningful conclusion to the Carrington family series.
I really appreciated the author's approach to Amber's calling. When Amber feels as if she "...had no right to be in ministry. No right to help people along paths she'd never traveled herself." she discovers that "I was ultimately reminded that it's not about me. I don't have to have all the answers or live all the lives. I just have to be willing to point people to the One who has." This journey that Amber takes is incredibly meaningful beca

Sarah Monzon finishes off the Carrington family series with Amber Carrington’s story in With You Here. Amber is searching for the “rightness” of her calling in the present day. Five hundred years ago during the time of the Protestant Reformation Christyne von Heidelbraum is searching her conscience for the “rightness” of her faith. Both women are introduced to men who challenge them in their searches and may just be part of the answers they are looking for.

Have you ever wondered if you have a ministry God can use? Or one He's got for you? I asked that question for a lot of years and that is the question Amber Carrington is asking of herself which leads her to Germany. Using her ministry of writing Ms. Monzon shows Amber coming to realize what her ministry is.

I enjoyed getting to know Amber and Seth. Seth is a very swoony soccer player which I truly had fun reading about.

Dual time novels are one of my favorite books to read. I enjoyed

Two Great Stories in One Book!

I loved the two stories in this book!
In 1527, Christyne learns from Lorenz and it changed her life. I liked reading about the Reformation from a different perspective.
The modern day story takes place mostly in Germany, at a youth center for refugee children.
Amber questions her calling. Seth is trying to live a new life. The two work closely together, not always seeing eye to eye. But there is something unexpected about Seth that draws her to him like a magnet

Oh my. I haven’t read anything by this author yet that I haven’t loved. Her writing style is so unique. I love the historical fiction alternating with the contemporary and how they mesh together in the end to link up the parallel stories. This story was wonderful. I especially liked the British expressions and could relate to them, as my husband is British and I’ve heard every one of them for years. He, too, is a huge “football” fan.

Author Sarah Monzon does a great job with her split time novel. Taking us back to the 1500s she wraps a lot of history into this part of the story. I found it riveting, in fact, to read about her characters in that time frame and how they lived and thought. Then forwarding us to the present day, she does an equally good job, including her speciality of writing about different cultures.

Characters that are strong and well-defined bring this story to life. Very human in their life chall

I really enjoyed the historical side about the reformation. It is obvious a lot of research went into this book. I also really enjoyed the spiritual side of the story. You dont have to have a prodigal son type testimony to be able to share Christ with someone.

The romantic side of the story had a strong pull too. So sad that this was the final story in the series.

Ahh, happy sigh! After reading (and loving!) the first three books in the Carrington Family series earlier this year, I was super excited for Amber's story! With You Here did not disappoint, it was everything I dreamed it would be and so much more! While our lives are different I could relate to Amber in so many ways. I too know what it's like to wonder if God has actually called you to something or if it was actually your own voice you heard, so her story deeply touched me and inspired my heart ...more

I really enjoyed "With You Here." I'm a little bit new to Monzon as an author, and this was my first book in this four-part series, but I connected well with the characters, specifically Amber as she bemoans her lack of a testimony and how God can still use her. Been there! Seth is the perfect mix of imperfection and spiritual rebirth. I totally enjoyed the British expressions and German words mixed in for authentication. I really loved how this book was written. The author pulls you in with three different points of view. Two in modern day and one in the past. I liked how the stories refected off each other. You can really"feel" the characters struggles! There are a couple things in the book that I don't really agree with so I took off one star other than that I loved how the chemistry between the two main characters was written, and the sto

This book accomplished what few books do. I felt like I learned more about myself as I read this book. I could see traits I have in the characters. I learned with them as I recognized some of myself in them. The history in this book is interesting too. Overall a great read!

I absolutely adored this story! I am a sucker for all things historical and contemporary, so when the two are combined into one story, I am sold! Amber and Seth are a couple of wonderful characters, Seth being a 'bad boy' who has just found Christianity, and Amber who has never known anything but being a child of God...these two make for an amazing combination. I was blessed to be able to get an ARC for this, and all opinions are my own!

I enjoyed this book so much! If the Carrington series has to end, then this is the way to do it!

Sarah Monzon explores what it means to follow Jesus through many phases of Christian life: the new Christian, the "seasoned" Christian searching for reassurance, or the Christian in time of adversity. She expertly weaves a wonderful time-slip novel exploring Christianity, both in the modern world as well as during the Protestant reformation.

The two heroines are compelling. Chrystine, a pr

Another beautiful split timeline from Sarah Monzon! I've loved this series!
I am in awe of courageous people. Where does their courage come from? I know the easy answer is God — Psalm 121:1-2 (ESV) tells me: “From where does my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.” But knowing that God is my Helper and believing He is my Helper are two totally different things. Courageous people have something inside of them that believes with all their hearts that God will see them through no matter what. I want this kind of courage; a courage so strong th ...more

Monzon's Carrington family is well represented in their final story, "With You Here." Rich landscapes, real life relationships, wrestling with faith and how to apply that faith in the midst of world events, following the calling on our lives...there's many great things to unpack!
