A highly amusing, self-deprecating account of a bunch of non-mountaineers pursuing a challenging mountaineering-related goal.
What I got:
A highly off-putting, self-aggrandizing account of a bunch of non-mountaineers being petty and whiny about how, oh noes, mountaineering is actually HARD, WAAAAAAH.
Amazing book highlighting the potential of adventures when one puts their mind to it. An incredible amount of effort clearly went into organising the trip, for a world record nobody except the people on the adventure cared about. Great to read about the ability of people who are highly unqualified for an adventure like this pushing themselves physically and mentally.
I've found this very inspiring to find the fun in life and am highly encouraging of Chris Darwin's further conservation work.
