First book in the new Get some series and these authors never disappoint me in any way at all. This is a cute friends to lovers short read.



Luca has been best friends with Jo ever since they were little and after he almost lost her, he vowed from that day on he would do whatever it took to protect her from everything even him. Luca has fought his real feelings for Jo and hides the love he feels for his fragile butterfly never believeing he can be what she wants or needs him to be but after their share a kiss he knows that his life will never be the same again they are meant to be and the time for him to stop running has arrived but has he left it too late when she is rushed to hospital?



Joanne has been madly in love with Luca for years but knows he will never look at her the same way she looks at him but taking the chance she makes the first move and kisses him the way that she has dreamed of. Determined to show him she isn’t the fragile butterfly but the woman she now is ready to fly, are Jo and Luca destined to be just friends or will circumstances force them to face what they really want?

Luca and Jo have been best friends forever. He has seen her at her worst and Luca is very protective over her. When they were young, Jo had a heart condition and he collapsed right there in front of him. Since then, Luca has made it his mission to make sure no harm will come to her. But Jo is no longer the fragile little girl she used to be and she would love to prove that to Luca. But he just wants to be friends and she doesn't want to ruin that, or does she?

This was a really nice friends to lovers book. Luca and Jo have known each other since they were 11. They both were in love with each other but were too scared to tell the other. Luca felt that he was doing the right thing by keeping her at friend status. He didn’t do relationships because of his family life. He didn’t want to do the same thing to Jo. She was tired of waiting and decided to go after what she wanted and he was it. It was a quick read and you won’t be disappointed when you are done reading it.

This is the first book in this new series by Chantel and Frankie! And I’m addicted!

Luca and Jo have been friends since they were kids. But because Luca wants to protect Jo he hasn’t made a move on his best friend. Both are so in love with each other it makes your heart melt! You will fall in love with these two characters right from the start.

This book won’t disappoint is super sweet and fun and full of happy endings and all the feels!

Been wanting to read the friends-to-lovers trope lately, but I felt like this was too rushed so that we didn’t even see the protagonists as friends. They pretty much immediately flirt as soon as we’re introduced to them.

Also, I still don’t understand the grammar conventions of how calling someone an “ADIDAS” would work? How can someone be it? It sounds more like a mood to me. Or like someone calling a reckless/carefree person a “yolo.”

Wouldn’t reread or keep on my shelf.

Best friends since childhood Luca has always been there for her. She had heart issues and as a result lived a sheltered life. Now she has grown up leaving behind her childhood illness. Luca is still protective and quite in love with her. They both have issues from their past but can they leave behind their past drama to forge ahead a relationship that could lead to a happily ever after?

They've grown up together. They've both had hard and bad homes growing up. Luca held Jo when she had a heart attack when they were young. They both love each other, but are so afraid to lose each other that they've never even kissed...until now. And now that they've opened the floodgates, they need to navigate thru the doubts and awkwardness. Sweet ending.

Both Jo & Luca have been attracted to each other for a long time, and the attraction has only deepened with time. Jo is scared that Luca doesn't see her the same way, while Luca is afraid that he can't love Jo without hurting her.

This fun, steamy, friends-to-lovers romance is a good, quick read. I really enjoyed it and recommend it.

I due protagonisti sono amici fin da piccoli. Fanno serate, si vedono, si parlano spesso. Ma qualcosa blocca i due dall'andar oltre.
Ma una sera e un inaspettato volo li unirà più del dovuto e nascerà l'amore che i due vogliono sotto sotto.

La timida ragazza con il figo di turno, sono il mix perfetto per le mie storie preferite.
Qui abbiamo una giovane donna che ha problemi fisici, è timida, ma vuole finalmente rischiare e vivere la sua vita senza mettersi barriere. Poi abbiamo il figo di turno che sogna di averla tutta per se ma ha un po' paura di come dichiararsi.

Timidezza e voglia di vivere si scontrano in queste pagine assolutamente bellissime.
Forse avrei spiegato un pelino di più la fine che per me era troppo rapida. Ma amen.

Fall In Love With Best Friends To Lovers Joanne and Luca In This Quick Read Jam-Packed With Emotion And A Very Satisfying HEA!

Luca is good looking and he knows it. Everyone knows it. The six foot four skydiving instructor turned entrepreneur just started Adrenaline Rush, an adventure junkie business, with his three friends - Jac, Nash, and Terrance. Business is great and life as a single man suits him. He's never had a relationship and knows it isn't in the cards for him.

Joanne Hamilton is a geek that hides her generous curves under baggie clothes. The innocent, reserved book worm owns her own paperback book store. It is marginally successful, but she makes ends meet. She was fragile as a child, needing surgery to fix the holes in her heart. Never been kissed, she is tired of the status quo and wants to step out of her comfort zone. She's been in love with Luca, one of her oldest friends, since she was little. She wants a fairy tale ending, and knows it would never work with him because he'll never commit.

Jo almost died in Luca's arms when they played tag as children. He felt guilty for pushing her to play that day, so he made a promise to himself that he would make sure nobody ever hurt her again - especially him. Thus he made guys everywhere know she is off limits, respecting the rule himself, too. He wants her but doesn't act on it because he knows he's incapable if commitment and he doesn't want to hurt her.

Jo takes offense one evening when Luca calls her a butterfly. She claims she is neither fragile nor afraid, and when he goads her into acting without fear, she kisses him.

Both think the kiss is a mistake. Afterward, Luca can't get it out of his mind. Meanwhile, Jo thinks she failed to please him and decides to take steps to prove to Luca that she isn't frail or afraid. She signs up for a jump.

Nash listens to Luca's concerns about Jo and the kiss and suggests it is Luca who is the coward for not recognizing that the reason he can't commit is because he has been waiting for Jo all along, something Luca had wondered as well.

When he later sees his employee strapping Jo into a jumpsuit, Luca is furious, sees green, and takes over the job himself. He and Jo have words, and Luca states they cannot go back to being just friends after their kiss - that everything between them has changed. Yet he still has doubts. He still doesn't believe he can make her happy.

Jo and Luca push and pull away from one another repeatedly during the story as they navigate their way through their changing relationship. Jo first learns to have courage and take risks. Luca later addresses his relationship demons. After some time and soul searching, he finds his own courage to move forward.

This quick read is well-written with characters that feel real. The emotion packed into such a short story is remarkable. Jo and Luca are incredibly likable and easy to love. It especially rewarding to see Luca's growth, witnessing him overcome his history. The HEA is very satisfying. I would rate this 4.5 stars if possible.

This is an intense, romantic and entertaining story. Luca and Jo are best friends, and have been since they were kids. Jo had a heart condition and collapsed in front of Luca, and he decided then and there that he would protect her with his life. He thought that she needed protection from him. They never thought that they would be together, and they will decide if they should step things up from being friends, or keep them as they are. It's a bittersweet story that tugs at your heartstrings.

Childhood friends Jo and Luca are seemingly polar opposites - the used bookstore owner and the skydiving instructor. He has been sheltering her since a near-death experience as children, but she is ready to start spreading her wings, including taking a chance on changing their relationship status. A bit of growing up as well as romance in this quick read.

Frankie Love and Chantal Seabrook (either together or on their own) are becoming go-to authors for me for fast, fun, and slightly fluffy romance reads. A new series from the pair is definitely something to be excited about. Well-paced, and well-written story with likable characters. Steamy short story, but with a sweet core to the relationship (not instalove, just a pair taking a risk for something more). I had just finished the first several books in the Men of Linesworth series by Frankie Love, and this has a similar set-up - men running a high-adventure business falling in love with more "grounded" women. I enjoyed this one more than the Linesworth series - a little more heart, a little less punny romance (lots of references to sugar, candy, cakes, and similar in Linesworth), a lot less insta-love.

Alternating 1st person POV from the leads. No OW/OM drama, cheating, or love triangle nonsense, just two long-time friends taking a chance on something more. Fast, fluffy, enjoyable escapism. No cliffhangers and an HEA for our leads.

Would I read more from these authors? Heck, yeah. While not perfect, this was a really good start to a new series, and I'm looking forward to seeing where our next acronyms take us. Potato chip reads - can't stop with just one.

Luca feels he isn't good enough for Joanne, but Joanne feels differently. Can Joanne make Luca see her as a strong, grown woman who doesn't need to be protected from everything? Can Luca let go of his issues with his dad and realize he will never be like his dad? Can Joanne and Luca let go of their issues and the past to find their happily ever after? I LOVED A.D.I.D.A.S. by C.M. Seabrook and Frankie Love! The chemistry between Luca and Joanne is scorching HOT! The banter between all the characters will make the reader laugh out loud. A.D.I.D.A.S. is an entertaining story that will keep the reader engaged from the beginning to the end. I would highly recommend getting A.D.I.D.A.S. by C.M. Seabrook and Frankie Love. These two authors have become MUST read authors for this reader.

The Butterfly and the Skydiver......Will they crash or will they soar together?

A.D.I.D.A.S. is a great first book in the new Get Some series. Luca and Joanne have been friends since they were in elementary school even though they are basically the exact opposite of each other. Luca is a big, over protective, Alpha who is part owner in an outdoor adventure company and teaches skydiving.. Joanne is a small petite curvy woman who has read all the books in her used book store. Basically she reads and thinks about doing bold and brave things while Luca just does them. However, they are tied to each other in a way that only they fully understand. They are also each in love with the other but don't want to do anything to put their deep friendship in danger. That is until one fateful teasing question from Luca to Jo and she becomes bold by kissing him. He in turn kisses her and then these two are stunned into not knowing what to do or say to each other. Do they reveal their true feelings to each other or do they stay silent and remain friends? Can they become "friends with benefits" or once they do will it mean their friendship is doomed? What happens if Luca becomes Jo's first of everything? Will she become more heartbroken than she already is?

Luca and Joanne have been best friends since they were very young. Luca had to watch his best friend fight for her life when she nearly died from heart problems and has been overly protective of her ever since. But he now has other feeling for her. Luca loves her but if it didnt work out Luca didnt think he would survive without Joanne in his life so it was to great a risk. His parents marriage didnt do so well and when his father was drunk he was always quick to tell Luca to never give his heart away.
Joanne had been In love with Luca forever but he still saw her as a weak butterfly that he needed to protect. So what could she do to prove that she was strong independent and confident woman??
I loved their story I could read their epilogues for years and years and years to come. Their story is beautiful, it really is a story of coming of age. Learning to trust your feeling and not let peoples opinions over shadow and influence your own. Its a wonderful heart warming story that just had me smiling throughout this book. I couldnt read it fast enough. This series is going to be mega.
