One in a series of twelve New Testament verse-by-verse commentary books edited by Max Anders. Includes discussion starters, teaching plan, and more. Great for lay teachers and pastors alike.

I need to begin to hold Holman's Commentary to a higher opinion in my mind. I always pick up the Holman Commentary when I begin to preach through a book of the Bible due to the low price on Amazon for the digital edition. I never expect much, but this series always surpasses my expectations. David's Walls work on I Peter was no different. Due to it's shorter length, there is rarely useless information in Holman's series and I am once again thankful that this holds true in Wall's writing. Wall gave me useless information and insight and background information each week as I prepared for my sermons. Great price for any lay person or pastor working through I Peter. Don't make it your only commentary, but it is great second one. My rankings of I Peter commentaries:
1. Peter David’s NICNT The First Epistle of Peter 2. David Wall’s Holman New Testament Commentary of I & II Peter 3. R. C. Sproul’s 1-2 Peter: An Expositional Commentary 4. Joel Green’s Two Horizons: I Peter
