Now, single, unemployed, and heartbroken, she decides a vacation is just what she needs to escape the wreckage in L.A.—and serene Colorado is calling her name.

What she doesn’t expect to find there is Chase Prescott: the sexy, brooding owner of the cabin she’s renting. She sees him as nothing more than a vacation boyfriend, a quick and dirty fling to help her get over her recent heartbreak.

But she soon discovers his mysterious aura is not just a front, and the fantasy world they create will crash head-on with their harsh reality.

He had no plans to ever see the h again.

This book made me so angry that I had to go throw up. It was physically sickening.

The hero is not honourable. He’s a disgusting coward. HE WAS NO DIFFERENT TO HER EX. IF THE AUTHOR THINKS SHE SHOULD FORGIVE HIM WHY NOT THE EX THEN? Cause he’s prettier?

He knew h’s fiancé cheated on her, yet he slept with her without telling her the truth.

And the last line of the cliffhanger? And the last line of the cliffhanger? I don’t care if she’s dying. I wanted rip every single of her hair out. One by one.

Clearly we’ll get shit ton of OW drama. After all that’s what true love is. Competing with the OW to win over a male piece of trash.

In Between Heartaches is book 1 of the Hearts in Waiting Duet; This is the story of Addison and Chase and it is an amazing first-time breakout story for Cuff.

Addison is on a new mission; find out who she is without the lawyer tag and her fiancé; when she walks into the airport and chooses Colorado, she never expected to come face to face with a broody Chase. When she finds the perfect short fling for her broken heart, she never expected to find her way back to him landing herself on his doorstep. Chase tried to push her away; the lure pulled him in and he indulged in his freedom, what he never saw coming was Addison coming face to face with his real world.

I fell in love with these characters from the moment I read them, I really loved that Addison was Fierce and took her own life in her hands and started making her own choices that didn’t benefit anyone else but her. Chase was carefree but also cagey at some points I was wondering what he was doing, going back and forth struggling with his attraction to Addison. Cuff brought these characters to life.

Olivia and Drake were amazing minor characters and I really hope that Cuff explores them in the future; whether it be together or their own stories.

Cuff has brilliantly written her first novel that has left me hanging for more, I personally loved this story and I am counting down the days until I can get all the answers to the million’s questions, I now have running through my head.

Omg this is so not my book. He’s married with a kid but doesn’t tell her. And now she’s pregnant and the wife is dying. What a load of crap.

This is me guessing here but the kid is probably not his and he was just being a good person.

In Between Heartaches by Amanda Cuff is the first book in the Hearts in Waiting Duet. This starts the story of Chase Prescott and Addison McCormick.
Addison had everything she thought but then she found her fiancé Cheating on her which spiraled her life and she plans to start again. But first she goes on a vacation that leads her to meet Chase. Chase comes off as harsh at first but the attraction between them make it hard for them to stay apart. Both agree to a short vacation fling and that is it. Both have things going on in their lives so a flings sounds like what they need to distract themselves and slowly end the attraction.
But sometimes short flings turn into more especially when they enter into your real world.
Can't wait for the next installment!

This novel begins with Addison, who is tired of working as an attorney in her father's firm, just broken up with a cheating fiance, and needs a break. She and her friend leave L.A. for a much-needed vacation in Colorado where she meets Chase. Owner of the cabins they are staying at and in-town for business, Chase is moody and almost rude at first. Soon, however, their undeniable attraction for one another takes over and they agree to a vacation fling. Things become deeper between them, but soon, real life calls Chase back home and Addison returns to L.A. to start her life over.

I loved this one from the start because how can you not like a book about a woman basically telling to assholes that she's done with their crap? Seriously, Addison is a fantastic heroine - brains, beauty, sense of humor, and so on. And of course, Chase is wonderfully yummy, albeit a bit moody in the beginning. The best thing about the main characters, and also about Amanda Cuff's writing, is that while you read this one, prepare to feel the chemistry and tension between these two. It's good stuff.

I don't want to delve too far into the plot because of spoilers, however, the overall premise of the novel is a young woman is starting over, needs to runaway awhile, meets a sexy man, but then reality arrives and sends them each on their way. End of story? Absolutely not. Cuff starts sprinkling in a bit of intrigue and mystery not long after Chase and Addison meet that make you wonder what his story is. Not in a "is he a killer?" way but more like, "what has happened in his life to make him feel so weighed down?" way. Eventually, most everything is revealed leading to a range of emotions as I tried to decide if I was sad, mad, etc., but not everything is revealed and there is still so much to be resolved in their story.

Did I mention that this one is a cliffhanger? I later realized that when I signed up for this blitz, it clearly stated that on the information page, yet I missed it. However, I don't care! I'm dying to carry on with the next one, but my usual hatred of cliffhangers does not apply this time.

In Between Heartaches is a beautiful, sexy, funny, and emotional debut. Amanda Cuff blew me away with her writing style, dialogue, character development, and incredible imagery. Not once did I feel that I was reading a book, but instead I felt that I was right there with the characters watching everything play out with my own eyes. The characters have so much depth, the story is fast-paced without a single dull moment anywhere, and it definitely left me wanting more. Bravo to Amanda Cuff on such an amazing debut. I highly recommend this novel and this amazing new author!

“In Between Heartaches” by Amanda Cuff

First, I absolutely love the colors used on the cover of this book! Also, important for you to know, this is Book 1. This book ended with a great lead in for Book 2. This is a well written story-there is some very adult content, just to let you know in advance. Tastefully written, fun characters, believable storyline.-Green Gables Book Reviews

Addison is living in a dream. Her life is perfect. She has money, she has a great job as a lawyer in her Dad’s company, and an incredibly gorgeous fiancé. They live in a gorgeous home and she loves her life. Until…

Addison walked into a scene in her home no-one should ever have to see, and now she has no fiancé, she quit her job and is meeting her best friend at the airport. Where are they going to go? No idea, but it has to be far away from here.

Soon they find themselves in a beautiful place in the mountains and wait-who is next door? Wow…the rest of the story you should read for yourself! Enjoy!

So, I promised myself I would stay off of my computer today, but I just finished a FANTASTIC debut novel and I'm in awe of Amanda Cuff and the potential this girl has with future books!

In Between Heartaches is a Duet, which I didn't know, but am not bothered by in the least.

The story is full of love and heartache, right and wrong, laughs, an emotional rollercoaster, oh and some pretty steamy scenes. ;)

With a dual POV, Cuff successfully draws readers into the characters. But not just the main characters, the side characters, as well! You feel for the characters and get attached to the point that you aren't completely sure if you want it to end or not.

The book was a quicker read for me, but I was also so interested in the story of our prissy, but feisty heroine and our brooding, tight-lipped hero it was hard to put it down!

I have so many hunches on what is to come and I can't wait to read the finale in this debut duet!

I didn't know what I was getting myself into when I received this book but boy was it good! The author made you feel like you were watching the scenes play out right in front of you. The characters were great! I like that Addison as a down to earth side and is open to new adventures. Chase comes off as a jerk at first but don't worry he shows his softer side. I thought the author did a great job with details and making you feel connected to the characters.

This book has a huge plot twist that you don't see coming and I can't wait to read the next book to see how things play out with all of the characters!

Overall I loved this book and I'm impatiently waiting for the 2nd one to be released!!!!

Note: An ARC was given generously in exchange for an honest review.

I can’t with this book.

No really I can’t.

When a 27 year old grown woman acts like she’s 13 and a spoiled brat,in anger, instead of like a mature screaming adult, you bet my last dollar I will definitely DNF that book.

And that’s it. I’ve got no summary, no overall review. Just a note for the author.

Dear author of this obvious teenage YA Novel, even though it’s either contemporary or Adult actually: Please make sure your characters actually act their age, otherwise readers of any age will certainly flush this book down the toilet faster than you can say “Oh toodles!” (Yeah I love my Mickey mould references, fight me, heh).

Another disappointment down the toilet.

Until the next page,

To be honest, I am usually not a huge fan of reading! However, I picked this book up one night after work and couldn't put it down for 5 hours. I read it from front to back without ever pausing. It is absolutely amazing! I have already recommended to all my family and friends, and my husband even enjoyed reading it! The author is extraordinarily talented! She made me feel like I was there watching it all unfold in front of me!

For her debut novel, what an impression the author left with this reader. From the very beginning, her characters and storyline drew me in and held my attention until the very end. The various points of view helps to understand the complexity of Chase and Addison's tale. This book does end in a cliffhanger, but it was captivating enough for me to want to see the conclusion of their story.

I don't know what I expected when I picked up this debut from Amanda Cuff, but I received a story that was so much...more. It's amazing, I think, when a first novel comes out this way. In a way that makes you wonder if it's actually their first. In a way that makes you wonder exactly HOW MUCH they read in order to write this well, right off the bat.

This is not your typical romance. Chase and Addison dance right off the page and into your heart. At first glance, you think, another woman being cheated on and looking for a fling. But the more you progress, the deeper you delve, the more you unearth about each of the characters, and the more you yearn to know.

The "vacation boyfriend" was such a cute little element; but it turns into so much more. More than you expect, more than Addison expects, and certainly more than Chase expects. With sudden twists, complex yet fun characters, and a relationship filled with potential, In Between Heartaches takes you on a ride you'll be begging to continue.

Amanda Cuff's debut is a must-read. She is a must-follow author. A writer I think we'll see great things from in the future, if this book is any indication. Five stars for a whirlwind romance, as I eagerly await the next book in the duet.

In Between Heartaches is not only Amanda Cuff's debut, but it's also one of those stories that I never saw coming. It starts out with Addison believing her life was perfect in her career, and fiance, until she catches her fiance cheating, gotta love those douchebags, which has her spiraling and needing to start over. However, first she's going on vacation with her friend to Colorado, where she stays in a cabin that Chase owns. He's a total jerk at first, as he seems to have some demons, but somehow, he's just what the doctor orders for Addison, and she for him. They have chemistry, which leads to vacation sexy times that light the sheets on fire. Drake & Olivia were amazing secondaries who I hope get their own stories in the future as well. Now, I don't want to get too much more into the story line because of spoilers, but there's HUGE twists that come up, and boy, did I seriously drop some f-bombs because of those, which led up to a HUGE cliffy! Now, I'm dying inside for the next book as there's a whole lot of things that I need answers for! So anyway, that's all from me, and I'll end with HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDING TO ALL!

I feel like I have two personalities after reading this book and I’m not sure which one I want to side with. When I started this book I fell in love with Addison. My heart broke for her as her world quickly fell apart around her. But she didn’t stay down for long! I cheered for her as she rediscovered herself and started falling for Chase. However by the end of the book I was disappointed in both Addison and Chase and their circumstances. I’m very curious where this story is going to go, I need to know what happens next!

I wish there were more stars to give

I’m on my third time through reading this book because it’s SO GOOD. I am blown away at the quality of writing and the immense amount of detail that was laced into the beginning of Chase & Addison’s story. I am counting down the days until Amanda releases the next book in line to continue the story! Keep an eye on this amazing up and coming author, I have no doubt she ends up on the Best Seller’s list in no time!

I think it’s important to note that my debut novel sucked ass.
Amanda Cuff doesn’t share the same problem.
What starts off as an fun and casual fling with a new author ends up being a dramatic overhaul you never saw coming. And I’m here for it.
I love being whisked away. THE DRAMA.
I applaud Amanda on her debut and encourage readers of this novel to stick around for part two.

Really good

This is a really good book but be warned it a duet with a cliff. The story is a good one and the characters are well written and true. I like the triangle thing with a sad twist in the book. Looking forward to book two.

I read a few chapters but it didn’t hook me in...the style of writing seemed a bit immature as was the main female character. I then read the spoilers and it’s a no from me
