Trent Sable was a thief and a killer. The only way Yvonne White can feel anything is by hurting herself.

The writing is pretty good; however, I’m not sure if the various points of views lent anything to the plot. Or perhaps there were several plots? There are definitely a lot of characters that came into play that it was kind of hard to focus on one angle. Too many angles going in different directions. This basically turned into a maze of complexity, making it hard to follow and easy to lose

Read my full review on my blog The Antlered Crown

I tried so hard to finish this book but after 17 chapters of hearing how much Yvonne's life sucked and her angsty complaints about her break-up - plus her father's complaints about his life sucked, etc - I'd had enough. None of the characters caught my attention. They were under-developed and focused solely on how horrible things were for them and their messed up pasts and presents I couldn't connect with any of it. This book was so bad I’m not even sure how to review it. Vultures is about a family who a sociopath decides to destroy just because he can.

What could have been a very good premise, was destroyed by the authors inability to actually write. I felt like I was reading a book that was written via a computer program, and the author just added the names and places as well as a few religious rantings. The book was disjointed, especially at the beginning of the book. By the time the plot started to make

I was sent this book in exchange for an honest review.

I was expecting a show down between a family man and a bad guy serial killer and that's not what I got

Extract from my full review on -

Vultures is not badly written, but a confused book that is aspiring to greater themes than it displays. There are confused statements about masculinity and femininity and there isn't as much of a showdown as was promised. Also a lot of 'society are all zombies who don't feel anymore'

A thrilling ride

Vultures was a good, fast read. While there were some heart pounding moments, it wasn’t as scary as I had hoped. Strange wording in a few scenes was more distracting then helpful.
