Her True Blue by Sierra Hill is part of the Fireworks multi author series of novellas. I actually own this book and had forgotten all about it. It’s a very quick read, around sixty pages, but wow, there is a lot packed into these pages! It starts right out with a bang, then adds in a little steam, some swoon, and even more suspense!

Jordana Bolton is twenty six years old. She moved to the small town of Milltown, Colorado from Denver to get out of the big city and leave some bad memories behind. She is the manager at the local bank and also spends her time off volunteering at the local animal shelter. But, trouble finds her when her bank is robbed at gunpoint and she is injured. The first officer on site is the cute local cop she has seen passing by her bank.

Officer Cord Clawson’s family is all in law enforcement. After he did his time in the military, he came home to join the family protecting the town he loves. He has seen the new bank manager around town and was already a little smitten. As soon as he tended to her at the robbery, he knew he wanted to know her better, to protect and care for her.

Just as Cord and Jordana are exploring their newfound interest in each other, trouble once again finds her, this time following her from Denver. And once again, her knight in shining armor comes to her rescue.

This was so good. I don’t know how any author can fit an entire story, complete with an epilogue, in so few pages but she did a beautiful job. Loved this as I have several other books in this series.

I’m going to be honest and say my enjoyment of this is more a reflection of my feelings towards short stories than the story itself. I’m not the biggest fan of short stories, and when I do read them I find myself setting a high standard. I want the short story to be as complex and interesting as full-length novels and find very few authors are capable of doing this. It is not to say I do not enjoy short stories, those little bonus stories and short tales, but I always find myself wishing for more.

With Her True Blue, we have a story I managed to complete in about half hour. It was a fun half hour, as the story kept me hooked throughout. It was sweet and enjoyable, it had me smiling, but when I finished I found myself wishing there had been more depth to the story. I enjoyed it, but I felt it could have been more powerful had we been given more than we were. Especially with some of the elements introduced in this one, as they are things I would have loved to learn a lot more about.

As I mentioned, however, it’s a reflection of my feelings towards short stories. I often find myself wishing for more, and this was no different. That being said, if you’re a fan of short stories I’d certainly recommend giving this one a read. It’ll keep you hooked throughout, and it’s certainly one capable of putting a smile on your face.

This was a very quick and steamy read. Jordana and Cord were very likeable as a couple. The story had plenty of heat and a bit of drama between a bank robbery and a blast from Jordana’s past. This book was very easy to read and once you pick it up, you won’t put it down. So if you are looking for a quick read with plenty of heat, then this book is for you.

I received an ARC of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review.

If you like your men in uniform who like to protect and serve and make all your wishes come true then Her True Blue is the perfect read for you.

Jordana has recently moved to Milltown to get away from the crime that occurs in cities so the last thing she was expecting was to get robbed at the bank she manages but it did allow her to meet Cord.

Cord is a police officer who has been attracted to Jordana for a while but hadn’t worked up the courage to ask her out. From the moment they meet the sparks fly and he quickly proves that he is the protector she didn’t know she needed.

Sierra Hill has found my weakness!!! This man is sexy AF and he calls her darlin!!!!! This is a very sweet story of a bank manager who meets the town sheriff. He asks her to the town fireworks for the 4th of July celebration..... that's when it all happens... sparks flying, in more ways than 1. Totally read this whole thing in one sitting.... like I did NOT want to put it down at all! 🥰😍

This was a quick & sexy read and it was exactly what I needed. Cord, the hot cop, and Jordana, the beautiful bank manager hit it off when he responds to a robbery at her bank. Sparks fly, hearts flutter, and their attraction grows with each page. A delicious, little novella while I’m in between books.

3.7 Jordana and Cord’s story was a quick fast paced read. I do enjoy novellas but at times I felt their story was a bit rushed. In the beginning I was hooked on the events that were taking place but then as we moved further along I felt everything was getting shoved together to finish at a particular place. Overall I am happy to have read their story and will like to look into other books by this author.

I love all of Sierra’s books and always look forward to her releases. For me, and my schedule, the Fit Club books are great quick easy reads that you can devour in a short time. Having said that, Sierra doesn’t fail to make the reader fall in love with each character.

Jordana is running from her past, one that has a lot of dark times. Through the darkness has emerged a strong independent woman who continues to thrive.

Cord is a police officer who is immensely attracted to Jordana the minute she moves to town but is uncharacteristically shy to approach her & ask her out on a date.

When the bank that Jordana works at is held up, Cord is the responding officer. And after taking her statement and tending to her minor injury, he .. finally got the balls to ask the cute bank manager out on a date as his older brother is quick to point out in a brotherly rib.

The sparks they share pale in comparison to the firework display they’re watching on their 1st date. In fact, Cord goes as far as to tell Jordana ‘You’ll be seeing your own brand of fireworks in private.’

Jump on their journey to see all of the cute, silly, steamy & sexiness of their story.

Cord Clawson is a thoughtful, brave, romantic and smart police officer who is proud to serve his community. He gets up every morning looking forward to his next shift with a smile on his face and determination in his soul. He was born to work in law enforcement and is honored to have carried on the family tradition. When he got the call from dispatch about the bank robbery he hoped the new bank manager, Jordana, who he had his eye on, was safe and out of danger. He never expected to feel such an instant connection to Jordana when he found her injured, hiding behind the counter. As he cradled her head in his lap, he hoped that this could be the beginning of a romance full of love, laughter, cozy mornings and sparkling nights.

Jordana was grateful when Cord arrived and even though she was bleeding and upset, he became her hero as he calmed her down and comforted her. Cord made her feel safe and cherished and she wanted to explore the surprisingly strong feelings she already had for him. She only hoped that danger had not followed her to Milltown because this was her new home, and she didn’t want anything from her past to tarnish the peaceful setting.

Wow, this story started with a bang. You are thrown right into a piece of drama which immediately makes the story gritty and exciting.
Jordana has moved to the small town Milltown to get away from the big city and her the dramas of her past. She doesn’t expect her past problems to follow her to her new start.
There is a blue lining to everything that is happening, and that’s Cord, a sexy police officer who becomes Jordana’s knight in blue armour! When they meet, there are fireworks between them as the chemistry builds. They are an adorable couple and work well together, and you find yourself really rooting for them.
There is the perfect happy ever after and leaves you with a satisfied smile on your face, overall, a really enjoyable and delightful book.
This is the first Sierra Hill book I have read as part of the Flirt Club collaborations, and I was very impressed. I will be hunting down some of her backstories and giving them a go too.

Another great book in the firework series

I loved this book. Some of the one liners had me giggling a lot. “I practically discharge my weapon every time I catch a glimpse of her” Jordana has moved to the sleepy town of Milltown as a bank manager although she could of done without the robber wanting the money in the till drawer. The person to her rescue is officer Cord Clawson and as the series title suggests.........fireworks. Danger is around the corner as an ex from the past comes back for Jordana, can Cors be her knight in shining armour again? Loved the two lead parts and the one liners about weapons are so funny. A great read.

I love a good Knight in shining armor story
Jordana came to Milltown to start over. Cord is a 3rd generation police officer in town. When he responds to the bank robbery call it's Jordana he helps. The woman he's noticed about town. The attraction is definitely there. He checks in on her after the ordeal and asks for a date. The sparks fly no when Jordana's past comes back to haunt her, he's there to save her. And she saves him, from a lonely existence. Quick read that put a smile on my face and warmth in my heart. Love me a good hero story 😍

If you are looking for a quick sweet read Sierra Hill has given it to you. Her True Blue has us meeting Jordana Bolton & Cord Clawson two people with totally different upbringings but are brought together from an upsetting circumstance.
Jordana looking to find security in her life and Cord able to give her that. The relationship from the beginning is just what the other needs and you can’t help feel the heartwarming of it all come through the pages. When you meet the one you know you should be with you can’t help love watching them fall

This is a quick, flirty and fun story. There's a little bit of mystery surrounding Jordana's history, and she's wary of letting anyone get too close to her. But when she's rescued by Officer Cord Clawson, she won&'t let her past dictate her chance at a new start in a new town. Their chemistry is quick and unexpected for both of them, and comes in handy when something from Jordana's past rears its head. This was fun to read, and the story was great!

Her True Blue is about Cord and Jordana. I have to say I love a good man, and Cord is exactly that. He is everything you want in a male lead, sexy, alpha and a protector. And Jordana was needing Cord even if she didn't know it. I really enjoyed this short about two people who just needed a chance to connect. Even if it was through a bank robbery. The characters have chemistry, the story is good and fast paced. So if you are looing for a quick fun read full of fireworks, Her True Blue is a good bet!!

Red, white and blue at its sweet and sexiest!!
Novellas are tough because there’s not a lot of time for character development, etc.
I think that the author gave a feel for all of that in a short read.
Great characters! Amazing chemistry!
Great sexy time!!
The Americana vibe worked. I’m not a huge fan of it but a Nelson Mandela quote in the story completely won me over!! Great touch!!
Great setting, back story, sweet and smoking hot!!
Loved it!!

You have to love these quick, insta-love reads that give you steam, humor, drama, and action. Jordana is the bank manager on duty when the bank is robbed. Officer Cord is the responding cop on scene and has an instant attraction to her. They have wonderful chemistry and some drama before their HEA.

Too short...I know...I know...it is supposed to be short and sweet...but for some reason I want more of these characters. Both Jordana and Cord struck a cord (yes I went there lol) with me and I want more details....steamy enough but again...I wanted more lol....I DO love these short, sweet, sexy, flirty stories though, since they are a nice change from the long stories.
