Cookies for Everyone by Mimi Council is an interesting collection of cookie recipes that will delight fans of her shop and those looking for gluten-free options. The images are beautiful and the instructions are simplistic. However, the recipes do seem a bit repetitive.

I have a weakness for cookies and when I saw this cookbook was available for review I didn’t even hesitate. I love it when authors of recipes provide alternate versions of a tried and

This book is great in some ways (the color photos of every recipe, for one) and a disappointment in other ways.

I was so happy to see that it supposedly had gluten free directions for every recipe, but that was a bit of a con. Council's version of gluten free directions are the instructions to just make any cookie recipe with her incredibly expensive favorite brand of gluten free flour mix (Namaste, which is mostly made up of organic sweet brown rice flour, brown rice flour and tapioca starch).

I received a galley via NetGalley.

Cookies for Everyone is serious about the everyone message. Mimi Council, the baker and owner of Dessert’d Organic Bake Shop in Mammoth Lakes, California, shares 100 recipes for cookie lovers who can eat everything or who need vegan or gluten free goodies. This isn’t a book where the folks with different needs get like 5 recipes. No, alternatives are shared with the majority of recipes.

The range of cookies is diverse, too. They go from basic chocola

This book was received as an ARC from Hachette Books - Da Capo Lifelong Books in exchange for an honest review. Opinions and thoughts expressed in this review are completely my own.

I am an absolute ultimate lover of cookies but now being an aunt and having children with food allergies, it breaks my heart that they can't share my love for some of my favorite cookies....until now. All of the recipes look easy enough to make for the average baker and the photographs made my mouth water

When it is hot as heck outside and there is nothing "cool" to do but reading sitting in front of the a/c as everything else makes you end up a sweaty mess, it is the perfect day for a speed reader. (Yes it is hot and humid in Canada!)

I received a temporary digital Advance Reader Copy of this book from #NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

From the publisher, as I do not repeat the contents or story of books in reviews, I let them do it as they do it better than I do 😸.

I received a galley via NetGalley.

I have been baking since I was old enough (& tall enough) to stand on a chair at the counter and stir the dough. I have been a professional baker with restaurants and catering. So for me, I am always looking for a new recipe or a new spin on an old recipe and I was pleasantly surprised by the wealth of Cookies for Everyone. I’ve read cookie cookbooks before that had the old standards and nothing really interesting. This featured the often forgott

Thank you NetGalley and DaCapo Press/Hachette Book Group for the opportunity to read and give an honest review of this book.

Who doesn’t like cookies? The author owns an organic bakery and writes from her own experiences in baking. I got hungry just looking at the photos of her mouth watering treats. She includes vegan as well as gluten free recipes.
Then, for those that eat most anything, she has delicious cookie recipes for us.

Biscotti are a favorite of mine and I l

This cookbook is jam-packed with cookie recipes - soft and chewy cookies, vegan cookies, biscotti, butter cookies, sandwich cookies, florentines and french macarons.  Who knew that florentines and biscotti came in so many varieties!  In addition to cookie recipes, the author discusses the use of organic ingredients and the essential kitchen tools that you will need for baking.  Each section includes tips and tricks for getting the best result.  Also included are recipes for all of the extras - b ...more

It has more then your traditional cookies (you won't find sugar cookies or chocolate chip), you will find soft and chewy, sandwich, butter, vegan and more cookies. The variations were great as special diet cookies are included. No one in

Cookies for Everyone by Mimi Council is a free NetGalley ebook that I read in late October.

Grouped by type (soft, vegan, biscotti, butter, sandwich, florentines, and macaroons) with big giant font and asoft pastel palette, the recipes usually make 1 dozen sandwich cookies, 2 dozen regular cookies, and 4 dozen wee cookies with variations for gluten-free preferences and high-altitude baking, easy to source ingredients (except for maybe vanilla beans, Dutch cocoa powder, raw honey, non-vanilla fla

This is a fantastic recipe collection for cookies. There are 99 delicious offerings with several variations for your basic cookie recipe. Chapters include Vegan, gluten free, Biscotti, sandwich cookies, and tips for every stage of experience. The illustrations are beautiful and I can't wait for cooler weather to turn on the oven and indulge. The recipes are easy to read and very clear instructions make this a fun cookbook. The first recipe had me hooked 'Dad's coconut chocolate chip cookies'. Honestly, I'm not a cookie-connoisseur by any means. Most of my baking is given away or done with my niece rather than for my own enjoyment. However, chocolate chip cookies are my one cookie weakness. I can pass up a lot but not a fresh homemade chocolate chip cookie. And then to add coconut - that's it, the plate is mine.

I like how simply the book is laid out (a must for me who can't follow basic directions). I w

Cookies. Cookies. COOKIES! Followed by: MORE COOKIES. Seriously, this cookbook is not kidding when it says "cookies for everyone" - there's not just what we traditionally think of as cookies, but also biscotti, macarons, sandwich cookies, stuffed cookies, glazed cookies....cookies cookies cookies. Enough to make your pancreas hurt. So next time you're looking to make some cookies but you don't just want to go with plain ol' chocolate chip or snickerdoodle, give Cookies for Everyone a look-see. I honestly have to admit I am a cookie lover. My greatest indulgence simply because you can control the Portia size and try to walk away with just one... haha like I could even. This book is incredibly detailed even to the organization of easier recipes to the more complex. It explains what tools to use and why ingredients were chosen. I feel there is something for everyone in this one. Exceptionally delicious and some are quick and easy. I received this book from NetGalley for an honest review. ...more

I love sweets! I love cookies! I am so happy to have this book. There are soo many cookie recipes in here and you can customize each recipe for different situations like gluten free and vegan. I am not an expert baker, which is why I love that the author included super easy recipes. She does suggest using all organic and natural ingredients. I am so excited to try out these cookie recipes.

I received this book in return for my honest review from NetGalley and Hachette Book Group

LOVE!! Delicious-looking recipes for everything from your basic chocolate chip cookie to delicate Florentines and French Macarons, with step-by-step instructions and helpful tips that really make you confident that you can make them. Includes great advice on making each cookie gluten-free or at high altitude (hello, Colorado here!), plus a whole section of amazing-looking vegan cookies. I can't wait to try all of these!

Smart! This cookbook really does feature cookies for everyone, with focus on nut-free, gluten-free and other allergy or special diet designations going WAY beyond other cookbooks that might provide (if you're lucky) 5 or so recipes that can be adapted to allergy-friendly recipes. This book has a tremendous array of original, enticing recipes, plus the author's smarts. Loved it.

Excellent easy to make no-fail cookies of all kinds. I love the tips for the right ingredients. I had no idea about some of the tips. I am buying a copy of this book for a bridal gift.

Good selection and does give what one would need to make it gluten-free. Gives a few types of cookies but show the variations one can make for that type. It does give at the end a few extras (caramel squares, chocolate ganache) to top your cookies.

I’m going to get the thing that would normally hold back a star on this book out of the way: there is not a nutritional breakdown of the recipes in this book.

I am getting that out of the way because I’m this case, the pluses far outweighed that detail, which is why I gave it five stars.

Truly a cookbook for just about everyone, this book offers a gluten-free adjustment for EVERY recipe. It has a section of vegan cookies. There are notes for those with high altitude adjustm
