I do not know how this ended up on my "To read" shelf.
But I read it.
And perhaps I shouldn't have.

HAHAHAHA... It's been a long time since I've enjoyed a children's book such as this. Alan Rusbridger managed to write something that was not only cute and funny, but gross as well (much to my delight). I love the cute illustrations and look forward to reading this with my niece or nephew when they come over.

For a children's book this was amusing. The books were free with a newspaper and so whilst not busy I decided to read it. If your child like stories about poo and digustingess then this is the one for them

This book was a huge wit with my daughter who laughed uproariously at the antics of the keepers and their dung flinging charges.

Apparently, dung beetles burp..that was new for me.

A fun, light bedtime reader for 6-8 year olds.

I dont like the story even im little biased on childrens book when I give ratings. But I didnt like the book. Thank God it contains few pages.

The story is all about poop, feces, manure or anything you can call on TAE.

A funny children's book with an interesting plot about a zoo where the drains are out of action due to a bus crash. The zookeepers get creative in how to get rid of the ever-growing piles of animal dung.
I did laugh out loud a few times, despite being way over the target audience age range!

This book is terrible. It goes for cheap bathroom humor. It didn't even get any laughs from my kids and they love a good stinky story. We almost fell asleep in the middle. I think it will be abandoned.

Alright at best, childrens novel about a zoo that has a drainage problem and their complete inability to problem solve. Not entertaining for me.

I read this book with me 7 year old. She thought it was funny. Mostly. Except one bit which was too silly for even a 7 year old. But overall it was ok even for me.

I think this would have been better if it had been simplified a bit and turned into a picture book, rather than a chapter book. I also didn't care for the artwork much.

This book is for six-year-olds. The narration is quite entertaining, there were some parts that were funny. Although I am not a fan of toilet humour, the author’s overall take on the subject is quite good.

The book is full of cute illustrations that make the reading experience quite entertaining.

Although, I would have liked the story line more had the author focused less on the “poo” part and more on actually moving on with the story.
