Read this to get more context in conjunction with my reading of Ciano's diary, as Ciano was on active duty during conquest of Yugoslavia and Greece and didn't write in diary for three months. Unfortunately, this book has very little about Italian involvement. Still, learned something! Good photos I hadn't seen, too.

Lavishly illustrated with pictures as are any Time-Life books. The text is excellent, understandable and readable. Very good book.

Despite the date of publication, Time-Life WW2 books hold up as good reads for the casual WW2 student.
