Time-Life Books are always full of fascinating information crammed into not all that many pages. This volume explores the development of the natural world, with chapters titled Out of the Wilderness, The Mediterranean World, The Chinese Way, The Plow and the Cross, Expansion and Exchange, and the final one, The Global Challenge, dealing with the environmental and ecological problems we face today. As always, a fascinating reading experience.
