After seven years behind bars, notorious local bad boy Paul has only one thing on his mind: to pay a visit to the judge who sentenced him. A man with nothing left to lose, he cares nothing about the consequences, or who might be left broken ... or heartbroken. Or so he tells himself.
County Judge Drea shrinks away from nothing, including the news that one of the town's worst criminals she once sentenced is about to be released. Although her family is bent out of shape that she has no plans to protect herself, the fearless Drea has other plans.
Come and Get it is the 7th story in the Small Town Bachelor Series; We met Paul back in book 1 but this can be read as a standalone and you are not missing any major points that are not addressed throughout this story.
Paul is out, after spending way too many years behind bars he is heading back to a town that hates him; he failed his family and was the town drunk that made bad decision. Drea is a very successful judge; when she sentences Paul she never expect to be the one writing and keeping him up to date with what is happening in their small town.
Fresh out of the joint Paul and Drea start turning heads and have a crazy instant connection that sets the pages on fire.
I personally enjoyed this story; it shows you that people can change and it doesn’t matter what other people think.
This was a short read that was hot from the start. I was really surprised that with Paul just getting out of jail that Drea being the Judge that put him there was so willing for everything. It doesn't take you long to realize there is more to the story and more to them than you see. Definitely a good quick read.
Drea and Paul’s love story is unique, in a surprising great way. Drea and Paul fell in love via letters and this story pics up and they reunite. The Heroine has a kink that not often explored in books I have read, but the author does a great job making sure that the reader knows that the heroine is excited and wants this experience. If you enjoy this author you will like this book.
Wooooowwwwww, just wow….this book literally smoldered from the first chapter. And when I say smoldered, I mean hot af….I was like, whew, is it getting hot in here, because I was sure my kindle was burning up.
He is getting out of prison, she is the judge that put him there and he is coming for her. These two were so hot and I loved all their bedroom shenanigans. What started out as a one-night stand, quickly became so much more. Since their in a small town, where new spreads like wildfires, they have to unite and beat the odds.
This was a safe read, no om or ow drama. Hot af, baby batter, lots of dirty talking. They may or may not get caught in “compromising” positions many times *winks*. A little pushing away...for about a hot second. We get to see past character favorites from previous books. Epilogues, plural, and an hea. This was a great ending to a great series. Thank you Abby Knox for letting me be a part of that.
Wow, nothing like a reformed bad boy to steal your heart! Paul is finally free; he paid his debt to society. A bully and a drunk in the past, he has finally got his head on straight. Now to head home and pay a visit to the judge who put him away. Drea has waited for this day, know that Paul would be returning to town upon his release. Will they both get what they desperately desire?
Lawdy, these two are all kinds of hot! This story will not play out how you are expecting and I absolutely loved that! I fell into Drea and Paul's lives so easily and couldn't help but love them both. This small town has some real characters that I loved revisiting through the eyes of a reformed bully and a lonely judge. I really didn't want their story to end but that epilogue was epic and everything I could have wanted! Abby Knox is simply amazing and I cannot wait for more stories from her!
There is nothing worse than small town nosy busybodies all up in everyone's business. They think that their happiness is everyone else's too. Oh they just erk me the wrong way. That's what happens in Come and get it. This couple just wants to ge happy, live their life and for everyone to mind their own lives. So glad this couple had their HEA. I believe in second chances especially if the guy has paid his dues to society. I read an advanced copy of this book.
Come And Get It is Sexy Soulful N Seriously Hot Abby Knox Rocks another romance! Paul N Drea Will completely melt UR Kindle with their sizzling chemistry!
I was absolutely blown away by the this story it was an awesome surprise only Abby could take an unlikable character N make U love him!
I'm so sad to see this series come to an end but this was definitely the perfect way to do it! I still hope we will get to see these fun N crazy characters again even a spin off series about some of their kids all grown up would be great! hint hint
Paul served his time and is literally walking out of prison, walking to the person who has been writing to him while in there, who also happened to put him them. Drea lays in bed at home, retreading one of his letters, waiting for him to show up. What happens was supposed to be a hot one night stand which turned into more. It isn’t easy in a small town with set ways, but they can’t fight how they feel, so they’ll take on the rest
This is a great story and I truly enjoyed reading about Paul and Drea. Though some may view their relationship as taboo or unorthodox, I for one think it's great and totally sexy!! Definitely recommend as a must read!!
Now see I normally dislike books with rape fantasies and total domination. But this one was written in such a way I got it, and I didn’t cringe or feel disgusted by any of it...because of one very very good reason, she was a powerful, mature, experienced woman who had complete control in every aspect of her life and chose to want that kind of thing in one place only ..during sex. And Paul was a big rough man but he is never a bully to her and never disrespects her, even while spanking her. Now that’s talented writing!
We first met Paul in Take Me Home (bk 1) but in that book he went by the name 'Chet'. 7 years later and a prison sentence behind him, Paul is a changed man and ready to finally set things straight and to apologize to those he had wronged. But living in a small town makes it impossible for anyone to see him as the changed man that he is and not the screw up he was before. The only one's who see him as a different man are Drea and Jackson. Which is ironic because Drea is the judge who sentenced him 7 years ago and Jackson is the man he harassed and is also married to the woman he wronged in so many ways over the years. Drea is the youngest county judge to be elected in their small town. While she may be a judge and see the worst that people can be, she also believes in second chances and allowing people clean slates once they've served their time. Paul, is a different kind of person than the normal people she is usually sentencing. She's found a kindred spirit in Paul and over the years they've exchanged fantasies that they are all too happy to play out when the time comes for Paul to walk out of prison a free man.
But in a sometimes a small town comes with small minded people who don't believe a person can change. Everyone is happy to express their opinions and disgust that an honorable judge like Drea would be an ex-con. With reelection coming up, will Drea allow everyone's opinions to influence her relationship with Paul?
This was a cute story and an okay end to the Small Town Bachelor Series. If I had a complaint it would be about the person trying to blackmail the judge with the letters Paul and Drea wrote to each other. Who was it? What happened to him?
Paul is a changed man, being sentenced to seven years gives you plenty of time to think, and he realized he made mistakes. While he's happy to walk out those doors, with no intention of returning, he knows going home will be hard. He comes from a small-town with long memories, and he didn't leave a great impression. Ironically, the only person that wrote him? The judge that put him in there.
Drea has worked hard to get where she is and take care of her younger sister along the way, but neglected herself to do both. Writing Paul allowed her to be who she hid from the rest of the world, and he not only didn't judge her, but he also indulged her. She knows her sister is worried as his release nears, but Drea is...she looks forward to it.
On paper, Paul and Drea shouldn't work, but fate has different plans, and so do their hearts. But both know there will be those that don't approve of them spending time together, especially as Drea's position is an elected one.
Will they let the opinions of others stop them? Will they risk it all for love? Is a HEA possible?

**I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.**
I have to say thank you to Abby who did a great job with this story. There is nothing wrong with having kinky “unconventional” sex, between consenting adults. Abby was able to explain this without overclouding the story with an erotic scene on every page. While I do love to read erotica, this book can be read by a someone who’s vanilla.
I really like Abby Knox. She writes good characters and storylines that are not offensive. I am looking at you Alexa Riley.
And this one has a bit of a kink, which is more my type of smut. You can have kink without completely degrading the female folk. It is do-able people.
Anyway based on that I am well happy with this one. It does suffer a little bit with the short length because the ending feels really rushed. And character building (look at me thinking about character building in smut, hats off to AK on raising my expectation) were not as complete as I'd like.
But all in all, I really enjoyed it. Even if it did fizzled out a bit towards the end like her other books. It is still so much better than any ARs with the kink. Did I mention I enjoyed the kink?!

I really liked this book, so out of the norm. Paul and Drea, both complete and total opposite, ex con and judge, and not any judge, the judge who sent him to prison. These two may seem to be opposite but they are so right for each other in every single way
I read all 7 of these books over the weekend and I enjoyed all of them - I have given each one 4 stars but really they are 3 1/2 mainly because I thought the stories could have been fleshed out more and there are some horrendous grammatical and spelling errors!
I really enjoyed this quick and steamy read. Abby knox is quickly becoming one of my favorites authors. If you love bad boys and good girls this is the book for you.
