Lift up your hand high in the sky if you’d like a smooch from a pooch. If it is a pooch with a porpoise, count us in!Students been really inspired by names of these round hounds for the past few days. The book is a quick read and it’s super duper cute.

The illustrations, featuring realistic depictions of canines in winsome poses, are a highlight. Young dog lovers will have fun identifying different breeds and reading the letters each pooch has written to Santa.

Although, I was a little weirded out by the pup who wanted mittens made from the hair of kittens. Apparently, the text has been changed in the version I read, because another reader made reference to the letter wishing for "something that used to purr." (Does that mean the dog wants a d

My daughter LOVES dogs, which was the reason I picked up this book. This book is in the form of letters. Each breed of dog writes a letter to Santa about what they want for Christmas. This would be a great book for kindergartners because several of the letters are ambiguous and describe it. You could ask your child what they think the dog is actually asking for. Some of the illustrations help young readers to deduce the information. My daughter is only 2, so I just told her.

This is very cute with great illustrations. The words/story I felt was a little lacking though. They were little poem letters to Santa but it was missing something. The best page was the last one where the little dog was asking for a home.

WONDERFUL book with terrific & humorous illustrations. Love the one with the dog wearing kitty slippers. Author/illustrator captures dogs' eyes wonderfully.

Short, rhyming letters to Santa written by dogs. The illustrations are lovely and the letters are short and sweet. Perfect for dog-loving preschoolers excited about Christmas.

It's pretty saccharine. But the dog illustrations are gorgeous. And there's a cat version as well, so I'll give her credit where credit is due :} ...more
