This work provides background and application information needed to plan, implement and evaluate health promotion programmes in a variety of settings. Programmes in the areas of community health, medical care and worksites are examined in detail and presentes in an accessible format.
This book was used as a textbook for one of my classes. The book contains invaluable information for not only the health promotion field but information that can be used in various other areas as well. Some parts got a little dry but, overall, this was a great book and learning tool. One of the very few textbooks that I actually felt was worth reading and contained information for all stages and careers.
I would highly recommend for anyone, in either work or personal settings.
Great if you are trying to create a non profit, other wise, you might get bored easily. The information presented is basic for those people in the field of public health, but invaluable if you have no background.
Great book for anyone that uses health education and setting up health promotion programs. A must read to have the necessary knowledge and understanding to carry out any full scale community, clinical, individual, or etc. based health program.
