I think the only times I saw a Highlights magazine was at the dentist’s office. It’s a wonder I like the Timbertoes so much.

I really enjoyed this book because I totally remember the characters in it from when I was little! I noticed how the story goes in process of the day, starting with the sun rising and rooster crowing. I thought that was a really neat way to write the book and it also teaches children the process of a day while they read it. Another thing that I really liked about the book was the contrast of color and black and white in the pictures. It made the pictures pop and was different than the other children's books I've read. At the end of the book, it has a list of the numbers 1-12 with the number written out and pictures of objects with the amount.
