Great children's story.

While they love their Pennsylvania home, Jack and Annie also relish the trips to other places and times they are able to take, thanks to their Magic Tree House. In this, the thirty-third book in the series--isn't that crazy?--they travel to the inappropriately-named Greenland, rescue a stranded narwhal, and meet a Viking boy named Erikson, son of Eric the Red. As with all of the Magic Tree House Books, Mary Pope Osborne takes a culture that the vast majority of young readers know nothing about and makes a good story out of it. I really liked out this installment related back to two previous adventures in the tree house. Another wonderful addition to a cherished series.

Recommends it for: Grades 3-5
85 pgs. This is a great book in this series of fun adventures. This time the kids meet Leif Erickson and Eric the Red on their visit to Greenland. There are lots of facts at the end of the book on different whales. Kids will surely enjoy this one. Highly recommended for Grades 3-5.
