She will do as Daddy tells her or there will be pain.

description So... 🆆🅾🆆🆉🅰 I was not expecting this book to be as fantastic as it was. 😲 I mean, I have read Zoe Blake before and ɛռʝօʏɛɖ her writing, so I figured this would be a good read. 👍 However, the cover and blurb really don't do this book j̲u̲s̲t̲i̲c̲e̲ in my opinion. 🙈 I was expecting a k͓̽i͓̽n͓̽k͓̽y͓̽ fluff read but what I got was a pretty 🅐🅦🅔🅢🅞🅜🅔 and well-developed plot. 🙌

The 𝔀𝓻𝓲𝓽𝓲𝓷𝓰 was excellent. 👍 It was well p͎a͎c͎e͎d͎. 👍 The plot was ᴇɴɢᴀɢɪɴɢ. 👍 The sex was šm⊕κïη' h⊕†. 🔥🔥 (daddy kink and dubious consent). 😍 No Ø₩ or Ø₥ drama. 👏 Although the main plot 🅲🅴🅽🆃🅴🆁🆂 around 𝓟𝓲𝓹𝓮𝓻 𝓒𝓵𝓪𝔂𝓽𝓸𝓷 and 𝐄𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐇𝐚𝐥𝐞 there are a plethora of 𝖎𝖓𝖙𝖗𝖎𝖌𝖚𝖎𝖓𝖌 secondary characters that I cannot 🆆🅰🅸🆃 to read more about. 👀 And speaking of Piper and Ethan, both these two characters were ѕυρєяв. 💟 Piper was ʄɛɨֆȶʏ and strong willed, and Ethan was d⊕mïηα†ε and sexy as 🅕🅤🅒🅚. 😝 Last, it was all 𝐰𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐝 up in a 🅺🅸🅻🅻🅴🆁 cliffhanger that has me 𝓭𝔂𝓲𝓷𝓰 for book two ASAP. 😱

Daddy Please!

Professionally written, fast-paced and riveting, “The Con-Artist” is conveyed from dual (+) POV and ends on a cliffhanger. Fortunately, the entire series is available for those of us who simply can’t stand the wait to learn what happens next.

The story opens with four close friends who share a shocking secret and the unpleasant series of events that draw them together. With the background story established, the narrative focuses on Piper the artist and Ethan, a powerful, enigmatic individual who covertly rules the city by collecting information on others. Piper initially attempts to con Ethan but inadvertently finds herself drawn into his own shady scheme. The chemistry between the couple is incendiary with Piper exhilarated by Ethan’s dominance, control and concern for her well-being. The couple’s story is interlaced by alarming events transpiring with the four friends and as the incidents escalate, the tension intensifies requiring the friends to act. Imbued with a bit of mystery, action, suspense and intrigue, “The Con-Artist” is a well-balanced, exhilarating novel, including plenty of daddy dom kink without age regression or age play.

Please heed the author’s warning, this is a dark romance due to elements of dubcon, harsh punishments and momentary violence.

Disclaimer: No Kindles were seriously harmed while reading this novel. Children 18 and over only due to sexually explicit content within an unequal power exchange dynamic!

Disclaimer for the Disclaimer… The term “seriously harmed” is not intended to include: overheating, scorch marks, minor melting or inconsequential fire that can be put out with an extinguisher. Fire retardant gloves highly recommended while reading. Reviewer is not responsible for run-on sentences, misplaced commas and illegal use of overly descriptive language.

Bad Babygirl: The Con Artist is a steamy and amazingly dark romance read that will capture your attention in a instant from that start and hold it all the way until the show stopping cliffhanger ending.
This is the first book in the Bad Babygirls Series and the main characters in this story are Piper and Ethan. This is one hot and sizzling read; This is definitely a dark Daddy Dom book that has that powerful alpha male and sassy and independent female. Piper is a con artist and ends up coming into Ethan's life thru a con. There is chemistry between them that is super charged and sparking. There are twists and turns that kept the story moving and the DD/lg theme was hot. The plot is fantastic and the dark side within the story is great. The story ends on a cliffhanger so I can't wait for the next book in this series.

This series had intrigued me as it sounded like a Charlie's Angel type series but with criminals who are the top in their fields - think Ocean's 8 with Sandra Bullock. In this book we meet the BabyGirls - Piper, Lyla, Julie, Mary and Quinn who formed a relationship in primary school after their fathers all died in the same plane crash. Now years later, there is just the three of them Piper, Lyla, and Quinn - each with their own specific set of skills. The Con Artist is Piper's story. The book starts off with a revenge killing that they did five years ago and then jumps to the present where Piper is masquerading as Gwen Stevens - an art expert. With her skills as a painter and a con artist, she has made a living out of earning money through art forgeries and con jobs. Now her past is coming to bite her in the backside as someone knows what the girls did five years ago and now Mary is missing. The other storyline running is that Piper finds herself on the radar of Ethan Hale - a businessman with criminal dealings. He is also a dominant and loves being a Daddy Dom and now he wants Piper as his little girl. I have to admit, this side I didn't enjoy as much as his way of dominating could have been easily construed as rape and in parts, he was quite sadistic unlike Reid in Book #1 who was the Daddy Dom. I did love the heists and spy storyline though overall and the relationship between the three girls. I am now interested in seeing the other two's stories and seeing if their guys are more like Reid or Ethan.

Zoe Blake does such a great job of writing filthy stories that give us more than just all that delicious filth. We get a great love story as well as a great adventure.

Piper is strong, cunning, smart, talented, and just stubborn as all get out. I respect her for that. She's worked really hard to get where she is, and it shows. It takes a lot of work to do what she does, but there's no one better. And really, that's not surprising, considering how much work she puts into every part of it.

I'm still not entirely sure that I like Ethan. I know that I didn't like him through the beginning of the book. But having read the whole series, my feelings on the man did change a bit, but it was hard to get past my first impressions of him, and I still may not have. I'm not entirely sure.

Great series though. Very compelling.

Holy mother of pearl. This is what I've been waiting on. I haven't really read anything lately that could hold my interest. This though kept me clued to it the entire time reading it. It's got a little of everything I love in a book. Suspense, thrills, dub-con, rough steamy sex. Perfect just perfect. This is not a STANDALONE.
I read an advanced copy of this book.

TRIGGER WARNING FOR BOTH THE BOOK AND MY REVIEW!

This sucked. I’m so annoyed!

The plot was so interesting. I love heists and cons and anything like that and the fact that all the girls had cool skills? I loved it!

Even the romance plot was great, he blackmails her to copy a painting and stuff which I liked. And it was written well!!

What’s the problem you might ask? Well, HUGE TRIGGER WARNING: the guy is a rapist. He rapes her in every scene but one. It was disgusting. But for some reason neither of them treated it as a rape ??? Which has brought me to one conclusion: this author seems to think d/l, or bdsm or kinky sex = rape. Like it was so obviously rape. I wanted to cry for her. We had these scenes from both povs and they both said he was punishing and hurting her. She was crying and begging and it was so sad. But the weird part was the next day she was all ‘oh wow I’d fuck him again’. IT MADE NO SENSE!!

And then to make it even more annoying she had to run away and the freaking book ended and they’ve not had a proper conversation yet or I don’t know become a couple or anything and the next book’s not even about them. I don’t even know what to think about their relationship because the ‘sex’ was horrifying but they don’t see it that way so if you took those scenes away I liked them together, but those scenes ruined everything. And I honestly think the author thinks this is kinky sex or something because he wasn’t hurtful or irrationally controlling with other parts of her life, which then didn’t make sense that he hurt her in this horrific way. I don’t even know.

It’s just so annoying because I love the plot and want to see what happens with the other girls but I don’t want to read more scenes like that. And I’m not exaggerating or anything because I’ve read a lot of bdsm books and sex scenes and I swear those were one of the worst assault scenes I’ve ever read.

Bad Babygirl: The Con Artist was a complete surprise! I loved it! It's dark, it's dirty, and it will keep you on your toes. It's a twisted Ocean's Eleven with a darker Charlie's Angels crew.

There are several characters intertwined in this series.

The Con Artist : Piper
The Thief: Lyla
The Expert: Quinn

This is Piper Clayton and Ethan Hale's story, at least the start of it. The book ends in a cliffhanger that left me wanting more.

Piper paints forgeries and sells them to rich unsuspecting executives, with no knowledge of art. Piper's life of crime had started five years prior after avenging the death of her friend.

Ethan is the head of a massive criminal enterprise who is in jeopardy of losing everything. He needs a forgery of a portrait hanging in a well secured exhibit. When Ethan decides Piper is the right person for the job, nothing will stop him from having her.

The story centers around a heist that brings Ethan and Piper together, however there is so much more going on. There are twists and turns that kept me up all night. Bonus, Ethan is all ALPHA with a Daddy kink. I'm delving right into the next book. 5 Stars

The Con Artist is the first of the series (if you don't read the prequel). The first thing I want to say is WOW — what a twisted book. Zoe writes strong and determined female characters that are friends from childhood and grow up helping each other through so much hurt and pain. Moreover, now that they are adults and circumstances have changed, the friendship has changed but become stronger over time.

We get Piper's story in this book; she is a con artist and very good at her job. However, now she has found her match in Ethan. When Ethan comes storming into her life. Piper doesn't take it too well at all. Ethan needs Piper's help with a job, but he doesn't ask her like an average person, he decides she needs an alpha daddy, and he plans on making sure she knows he is in charge in everything.

This is a beautiful series, and I am so happy to have read it!

Piper, Mary, Lyla, and Quinn were the “Babygirls.” A name coined by their mentor Julie. But Julie is gone and now the girls are doing what they know best. Each has their own skill. Think of “Charlie’s Angels” but with attitude and needing a bit of guidance. Each girl has a story to tell. This one is Piper’s story.
Ethan aka “Julius Davidson” is as much of a grifter as Piper aka “Gwen Stevens.” OMG, once you start reading you REALLY have to pay close attention. You can get lost if you don’t remember who are the players and what the Con is. WOW. Once these two get together, holy moly. Can you say, sore bottom? Then you have another turn. We get introduced to different players all over and each is important. I did have an OMG moment. I covered my eyes and freaked. I won’t say more on that. WOW This book is definitely intense in even during the punishment. And then……………..cliff hanger. Must know what happens next. …..

This is the first book in the series and is dark and off the charts hot. This is the first book in the series and we meet Piper, Lyla, Quinn and Mary. The want to get revenge for their friend but someone learns the truth and plans to use it against them. Piper is a con-artist and Ethan plans to train her for his own purpose. He will punish her anyway he sees fit to get what he wants. Fast-paced read with lots of twists and turns, lots of drama and the chemistry is intense and steamy. Great characters and a dark read that will have you hooked from beginning to end. I loved it!

Zoe Blake writes very compelling stories with fabulous characters.
Ethan and Piper meet under odd circumstances, it seems that Ethan knows everything about her and she knows nothing about him.
This story is based on past experiences and how hard it is to trust someone.
I look forward to reading the next one!

Okay, so this book was so much more than I what was expecting. I blame the blurb: it focuses solely on the daddy dom aspect of the story and tells you NOTHNG about what Piper is like.

I picked this one up because I was in the mood for dirty talk, rough love, dominating men and sassy heroines. Well, I got all that in plenty and then some.

Let me list down why this book stood out for me in the sea of romance novels offering 'dirty talk, rough love, dominating men'. I left out sassy heroines because in most of these kind of books the heroines are almost always innocent virgins who have never seen any part of the male anatomy and even the slightest caress or pinch is enough to set them off. You know who I am talking about.

But this book - and the next one in the series, too - has a female lead worthy of the title 'heroine'.

Piper and her little band of girlfriends go through a rough and traumatic patch in their teens (I don't want to spoil anything for anyone but none of them was assaulted / raped, if that's something you're wondering about) and this has lead to each of them living a lucrative and successful life AS A CRIMINAL. Piper is the Con Artist involved in all kinds of crazy art forgeries, heists and similar thieving ventures; Lyla is the Thief, considered a specialist in breaking and entering and Quinn has made a name for herself customizing guns for assassins, mafia men and similar gun enthusiasts.

What I love about Piper is that she is GOOD at what she does. She isn't a helpless female who can't handle danger. She is smart, resourceful, sharp. She can paint a replica of famous paintings like nobody's business. She's got contacts, she's got a level head and a kinky soul even she wasn't aware of. Piper also survives primarily on Chinese takeout and McDonald's (although I find it a bit hard to believe that all three girls like Cafe Mocha). And her instant reaction the minute the hero calls her 'baby girl' is not to melt in a puddle but to be suspicious and (try to) resist his charms because he is a dangerous man and dropping her panties for him is not very good for her mortality. Or sanity.

Yes, the daddy dom bits and the sexy bits are intense. Very much so. I have read a lot of romance, a lot of BDSM novels and a fair share of dark romances but this one was woven in a dark pattern just shying short of unacceptable. To me and my sensibilities, at least. There may be people who find this unacceptable too, no doubt. But I .......... liked it? It could also be that because I liked the book overall - in terms of characters, suspense, story line - I was more receptive of how edgy and rough the sex was. A whole new world, with new horizons to pursue.

The structure of the series also took me by surprise. Normally, in these kind of book series you finish with one pair in Book 1 and you move on to the next pair in Book 2. Book 1 does not end in HEA (but it's not a cliff hanger that will make you want to cry. Or shoot someone. Or maybe it's just me because I read all three books in a row). We get a bit more of Piper's and Ethan's story in Book 2 along with Lyla and Roman, and honestly I cannot tell which pair I like more!!!

The suspense in the story line is also very well done. Given that Piper and the girls are engaged in criminal activities and hang out with others in similar professions, it's going to take a lot to rattle these girls. And when that happens, these girls have A PLAN. They aren't relying on their daddies to get them, despite the troubles this line of thought gets them into.

I really enjoyed this book and jumped right onto the next one in the series.

I hope you pick up this book after reading this review and that you enjoy it as much as I did :)

This is the first book in the Bad Babygirls Series and the first book that I've read from the author, Zoe Blake. I was intrigued by the story and decide dto read this, and it never dissapoint me. The plot and characters are sooo good, very detailed, hot, and amazing. Even the cliff hanger makes you want to read the next part of the series. This is a very must read series.

The main characters in this story are Piper Clayton and Ethan Hale. Piper who's a con artist catches the attention of the powerful Alpha male, Ethan. Ethan caged Piper to do a con for him while Piper struggles with the arising problem with her girl group when Mary started to be missing because pf the problem and crime they did in the past. The chemistry between the sassy Piper and bossy Ethan is good and they balance each other well. The plot is fantastic and the dark side within the story is great. This is definitely a dark Daddy Dom book. ☺

Oh wow, I can’t believe that entire scenes/dialog are copied from another one of her book series down to the fictitious name of the character. Identical series (Ivanov Crime Family) the only difference is the book covers.

I’ve spotted a pattern with this authors work, you can literally wipe the name out of every one of her books, change the scenery and it is the same story.

Everything is the same down to the sex scenes. I mean word for the word here people. I’m shocked at the lack of effort to hide the blatant repetition.

It was fine. The plot actually was intriguing what with con jobs and heists etc. The smex was okay-ish coz usually I dont have any problems with non con or dubcon but here, that office scene for some reason had me ick-ing while it happened (her thoughts afterwards not withstanding). Anyway, ends on cliff hanger so guess I'll be reading on

3.5 rounded to 4 stars.

The Con Artist from the Bad Babygirl Series by Zoe Blake is a seductive, suspensful and twisted dark romance.

Sometimes, I like to read out of my comfort zone and discover romance stories that aren't always sweet, lighthearted, or fluffy, but still really GOOD. This is defnitely one of those and even though I didn't completely love it, this novel is a fun guilty pleasure read.

I've read dark romances before and immensely enjoyed and loved many of them. However, the daddy dom kink is a bit too much for me that it really bothered me and inevitably turned me off. I did think some parts are a little bit hot and sexy, but I just got so tired of reading the word "Daddy" over and over.... It's overdone in my opinion. I actually started to skim over most of the sex scenes or completely skip them cause it's personally just not my thing. BUTTTTT, the storyline... OMG it's so addictive and thrilling! I think the plot is just so well-written and engaging. There's drama, humor, action, suspense and plenty of twist and turns that had me glued to the pages.

I really liked Piper. She's independent, smart, stubborn and fiesty. Ethan is not your typical charming love interest. He's controlling and dangerous, but there's certainly something intruguing about him. I liked some parts of their relationship, but mostly, I didn't find the romance swoony or enjoyable.

I loved Lyla and Quinn and thought they're fascinating characters. I loved the sisterly bond between the girls and really admired how loyal and protective they are of each other. I liked Roman too and can't wait to read about him and Lyla in the next book.

So while I didn't really enjoy the kink or romance, I think the overall story and the characters are absolutely worth the read. Here's a brief breakdown of what I didn't like and did like about this book.

What I Didn't Like/Love
The Daddy Dom Kink
The Sex Scenes
The Romance / Instalove

What I Like/ Love
The thrilling storyline
The intriguing and kickass female characters
The friendship between Piper, Lyla, and Quinn
The humor sprinkled here and there
The plot twists and turns

I'm not quite sure if I'll ever venture out of my comfort zone to read another book series by Zoe Blake. I was intrigued enough to finish this series, but as much as I enjoyed the stories, the girls, and the suspense, I just didn't fall in love with the romance enough. I just need there to be more "FEELINGS" and emotions involved. I still had fun and really enjoyed the story and thought it was utterly exhilarating and brilliantly well-developed. Oh and the cliffhanger at the end had me going on my KU and downloading the next book.

If you enjoy and love ridiculously twisted, disturbing, and dark romances with amazing plot and characters, then the Bad Babygirl series is a must-read!

I received an advance reader copy of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

The Con-Artist

OK. I must write it.
I am totally obsessed by Zoe Blake and her Bad Babygirl series!
I thought that The Hacker was fantastic, but The Con-Artist is brilliant!

This story is abour smart girl Piper Clayton which is the title con-artist and Ethan Hale, dangerous buisnessman with different taste in the bed.
Also in this book we can meet girls from next two books in series – Lyla and Quinn.
The Con- artist ends with big cliffhanger and now I am happy that I have on my Kindle all series.

Piper like to paint. This girl is painting in her free time and then sell the ideal copy of famous images to rich people. This is her job.
Ethan is an prospective customer. But it is only cover of true story, his intentions are completly different. He is a CEO of massive criminal enterprise and his polite behavior is fake.
He has a job for Piper.
Also he needs her in his bed.

I really like this story!
I read daddy dom sometimes, but I'm not a fan of this genre.
Zoe Blake change this a little and now I can't wait to read next book in series.

This story is so steamy, so hot and so sexy. The chemistry between Piper and Ethan is enormous. Also The Con-Artist is a little hate-love. Piper hates Ethan, when he do really bad things to her, but time goes and she finally see that she love him.

The Con-Artist is well written book. But something tells me it is just the beginning.

I have been a fan of the author for some time now and have read most of her books. This is part of her contemporary erotica series and like the dominant subject in all her books it is about a girl or rather a group of girls who haven’t had a father figure in their lives and therefore have had a pretty rough upbringing. Mostly they grew up too fast and although they are smart enough but they are not experienced enough they make some mistakes along the way and are caught by the big bad wolf. But in these stories the stories although the wolves like to nibble (pun intended ) on the little girls; they are not the villains but are often the protectors and the girls in this story is in definite need of ,protection from what’s coming. These story is about Piper and Ethan; although the secondary characters are equally important. Piper has a past and that is coming for her; while Ethan needs piper to hide his steps from law. But on seeing Piper he has decided that not only will she work for him; she would also be his. And he intends to teach her the discipline she has lacked in her previous life. All in all a good story but it does have some torture in it too and not the erotic kind but the painful kind. The story ends in a cliffhanger. Will Ethan be able to save his little girl or will he be too late

Four friends break into a house to right a wrong done to the girl they all looked up to.
Five years later, their past comes back to haunt them and one of their number is missing. Will they find her in time before their past finds them.
This is Piper's story.

She is the con-artist in the group. Decisions made five years ago have moved their lives into a different direction, but it's one she has no problems with, until Ethan hale stepped into her con, but with no intentions of being conned. He wants something different, but after gathering Intel on Piper, his game plan has changed and he wants the girl. She is everything he has ever wanted and what he wants, he takes.
Piper and her friends are still together, except for Mary, who wanted to be on the good path, now Piper is caught up in Ethan's game, until the dollhouses start to arrive and her and her girls are thrown a mystery. Will they find Mary before it's too late and will Ethan get the girl?
Be aware this is hot, there are a few spanking scenes, and unfortunately it also ends on a bloody cliffy.
Interestingly enough, a few people from Father's compound in the prequel make an appearance in this book and colour me surprised when one of the girls seem to have met Father too.

A well written and interesting book. cannot wait for the next one.

If I have to hurt her to get what I want....I will. No is not an option. My little con artist is about to learn I run my criminal enterprise with an iron fist. She is no exception. She will da as Daddy tells her or there will be pain. Little does she know how much I will enjoy inflitcting it.

This is the first full length book in the Baby Babygirl Series from Zoe Blake. This is the story of Piper and Ethan. Ethan runs a secret criminal organization and Zoe is a con-artist. She deals in arts and Ethan is about to be her newest Con until something does not feel right and she changes her mind. However that does not stop Ethan. He needs her badly and he is going to make her realize just how badly she needs her Daddy. There is a storyline to these books that envolve the girls Piper Layla Quinn and Mary but I don't want to give that away. I will say that it is intesne and quiet creepy. Will they be able to survive and find out what is goin on in time? Since this is the first book in this series you are going to be left with a huge cliffhanger but don't worry all the books are available and you don't have to wait forever to get the next book. You do not want to miss this book if you love dark and twisted stories.

I loved this book!
Piper and her three best friends haven’t had an easy life.
One impulsive night fueled by high emotions changes their path forever.
Piper is now a talented con artist.
She loves art and painting.
Mix her talent with what she loves and you get a brilliant con artist who specializes in selling “masterpieces”.
Her brilliance has caught the eye of someone who needs her type of specialty.
Ethan is in a jam and the only one that can help him is Piper.
I adored these two!
The tension and chemistry between them is sizzling.
I thought the dynamics they had was hot!
Omg Ethan is not only successful and sexy but that man is pure alpha!
The possessive feelings Ethan had for Piper left me fanning myself.
Just when things seem to be going right the past comes back in full vengeance.
Wow Ms. Blake truly blindsided me with this incredible book.
I didn’t know how the story would go or how the plot would play out.
But I didn’t expect what I read!
She didn’t deliver the regular Daddy Dom story.
She gave the reader so much more!
It’s a sexy hot read.
But there’s also intrigue and mayhem going on.
I thought this book was unpredictable, stunning and thrilling!
I need more!
So I’m absolutely looking forward to reading Bad Babygirl:The Thief.
