Her award-winning pop-up books with illustrator Jennie Maizels and her collaborations with the Eden Project in Cornwall, England, are among her most popular works.

She died at age 55 from cancer.

The author does a wonderful job in this book of giving factual information about lions. She talks about their births, their mealtime, learning,their growth, and much more. It is very educational. The illustrations are beautiful and attractive. A great animals book!
