Legend Trilogy #1

The Fall of Legend

Rate this book
From New York Times bestselling author Meghan March comes a new deliciously dangerous alpha hero in The Fall of Legend, the first book in the brand new and utterly addictive Legend trilogy.

We come from two different worlds.
I’m from the streets. She might as well live in an ivory tower.
I made my living with my fists. I doubt she could even throw a punch.
Our paths never should have crossed.
We never should have met.
That doesn’t change the facts.
I would sell my soul to taste those red lips.
Fight the devil himself to hear her laugh.
Burn in hell to have a single night.
Scarlett Priest shouldn’t even know men like me exist, but sometimes temptation is stronger than will.
If this is how I go down, it’ll be worth every second of the fall.

I'm not Cinderella, and Gabriel Legend is no Prince Charming. In a fairy tale, he'd be the villain.

That pervy gif up there? Me. Every time Meghan March announces a brand new alpha hero. But dare I say she seriously outdid herself with Gabriel Legend. This man. *pervy sigh* Talk about intense. The second he made a brief appearance in White Knight I knew I'd give an ovary to get my grubby little hands on his book.

The Fall of Legend just begin to lay the foundation to what you can already tell will be one epic story. This installment was a bit slower paced than what I'm used to from Meghan March. There's intricate puzzle pieces that are thrown out here, leaving you desperate for answers. I was instantly riveted by the story in the beginning and totally enraptured by it in the end, but admittedly large pieces of the middle felt a bit like filler. The pacing wasn't quite there for me. There just wasn't enough meaty parts of the story for it to stand on it's own just yet. But the pieces we're given are delicious enough to make you desperately curious for how it all comes together, so I can't wait to see what the next installment in this trilogy will bring.

THE-FALL-OF-LEGEND
'THE FALL OF LEGEND' is the first full length book in Meghan March's 'Legend Trilogy'. In this we are lucky enough to meet Gabriel Legend and Scarlett Priest. Spoken in 'Dual POV's' 2ir3yw5

𝑰 𝒈𝒐𝒕 𝒎𝒚 𝑮𝑬𝑫 𝒘𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝑰 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒕𝒘𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒚-𝒇𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒎𝒂𝒅𝒆 𝒎𝒐𝒏𝒆𝒚 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒎𝒚 𝒇𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒔, 𝒇𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒎𝒚 𝒇𝒖𝒄𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒍𝒊𝒇𝒆, 𝒃𝒆𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒆 𝑰 𝒎𝒂𝒅𝒆 𝒆𝒏𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉 𝒕𝒐 𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒓𝒕 𝒎𝒚 𝒇𝒊𝒓𝒔𝒕 𝒄𝒍𝒖𝒃.

As soon as this dropped on my kindle that was me, life at that point was put on hold!!

It all kickstarted off with a kidnapping.

Gabriel Legend, our hero is running from his past, trying to make better of himself, a man with the world on his shoulders with many waiting in the background to take him down a peg or two. His club is failing and his only hope to bring it back to life is Scarlett.

𝕳𝖊'𝖘 𝖒𝖊𝖓𝖆𝖈𝖎𝖓𝖌, 𝖗𝖆𝖜 𝖆𝖓𝖉 𝖔𝖙𝖍𝖊𝖗𝖜𝖔𝖗𝖑𝖉𝖑𝖞.

70775309-3051071024907236-6887894268694757376-n

𝑯𝒆 𝒍𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒔 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒉𝒂𝒅𝒐𝒘𝒔. 𝑾𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒆 𝑰 𝒍𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒍𝒊𝒎𝒆𝒍𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕.

Scarlett Priest, is like no other heroine I've encountered, we saw her change so much in such a short time, a socialite born into a world of glamour, one thing she strived above all else was her father's love and approval, but when that evaded her she took life by the horns and grew a backbone.

𝕾𝖍𝖊'𝖘 𝖆 𝖜𝖍𝖔𝖑𝖊 𝖓𝖊𝖜 𝖑𝖊𝖛𝖊𝖑 𝖔𝖋 𝖔𝖋𝖋-𝖑𝖎𝖒𝖎𝖙𝖘.

74685189-3034917949855877-7847757173735030784-o

And from that point onwards I was hooked. Enjoying this new world I found myself in. Wanting, needing more, questions left up in the air that I’m hoping get full closure in the next book.
When opposites attract that from two very different backgrounds can’t break that connection whenever they are around each other, the sexual chemistry, that just sizzled off the pages. I enjoyed watching them step into the unknown, These two were utterly perfect for each other.
A slow burn that once it took off got its hooks into me.

I am quite surprised that I gave Meghan March’s book a 3 stars! This is the first book in a new trilogy and I found it to be quite slow. One of my big pet peeves in a story is when the main couple spend a large portion of the book not together. Gabriel and Scarlett spent a large part of their story doing other things.

Another peeve of mine is when the hero doubts his self worth through out most of the story. In Gabe’s case, he kept bringing up the fact he didn’t think he was good enough for Scarlett. It’s one thing to hear that once or twice but these thoughts went on through the whole book.🙄

The first kiss happened at 54%, and sex at 90%!!! Just an example of the slowness of their relationship development! This is Meghan March though, and I have faith that things are going to pick up in the next instalment! Fingers crossed!!!

4 Give Me More CROWNS

As with any Meghan March book, color me intrigued. I’m completely hooked into the story of Gabriel and Scarlet.

Gabriel Legend is a man with the weight of the world on his shoulders. Although he is that alpha man, there are a lot of areas of his life that he is struggling with, and I found this to be a nice change of pace to her typical alpha heroes who have it all together and rule their kingdom. His guilt over the past, the need to prove himself as more, motivates him. I found a really respected him as a male character.

Scarlet is a unique heroine. I liked that she seemed to be the pursuer in this relationship. Even in book one, she evolves and changes so much, and she isn’t afraid to go after what she wants, even if she gets burned.

This is book one of three, so a lot of this book is the exposition - who they are, their pasts, their conflicts, and the layering of issues these two will face independently and as a couple. There is much story in terms of plot progression, as a result. What I can say is that what she has hinted at in terms of what is two come over the course of trilogy is going to be one heck of a ride, and I am here for it.

The Fall of Legend is gearing up to another great suspense. My mind is already running with all the possibilities.

Meghan March is one of the only authors I'll actually read a trilogy from since they're not really my favorite things. I tend to get bored after so long with just one story being followed in multiple books. But the way she writes her characters always has me intrigued and dying for more with every book. This book had that same intrigue that I like from her and I'm really curious to see what will happen with these characters, but there was just something missing with the story to truly keep me captivated.

It seemed slower paced than I'm used to this authors books being, especially for the first book in a trilogy. There was so much of the story where Legend and Scarlet were separated and doing there own thing so it ended up lacking a bit on the romance. And the entire middle part of the book pretty much had nothing that was bringing them together either.

Overall, not my favorite start to a Meghan March trilogy, but it did get me very interested in the characters and I'm looking forward to seeing what will happen in the next installment.

The name of Meghan March pique my interest. After all she is one of the most popular author in contemporary romance. I had hit and miss with Miss March works. When I read the blurp of The Fall of the Legend, I thought this book is full of angst and drama. But I was wrong. The story is luke warm. There are so many conversation between the character's self. I know Miss March is trying to establish the characters. But its too dragging.

Then there is the insta lust. The insta lust is OTT. there is almost no connection between Gabe and Scarlett. They just falls in lust the moment their eyes meet. I want the author invest more on characters development and build a better chemistry.

This is trilogy and I am still interested to follow the next book. I am hoping the next one is better.
Overall I like this book OK and cross my fingers that the second installment is better.

Meghan March has done it again. From the moment Legend made an appearance in White Knight, I knew that he was special and I couldn’t wait to read his story. I needed his story and boy did I get it. She knows how to bring her characters to life and this story was no exception. Legend and Scarlett were so good. They were both strong characters in their own right. Let me just say that she was not lying when she said that this was going to be epic. The only problem that I had with this story was that it had to end and now I have to wait. Time for book 2.

Y'all already know my obsession with Meghan March runs deep so the minute Fall of Legend hit my kindle, I was ready to get lost in Gabriel and Scarlett's world! This story was a great introduction to this new and amazing world Meghan created. I was so here for it!

Being the first book in the series, Fall of Legend was more of an introductory novel in the series, as we met all of the main characters and who they were to Gabriel and Scarlett.

Here’s what I loved:
Book 1 lays the foundation and set the stage for an amazing story!

I loved the characters! Overall, I loved how strong Scarlett was. She was assertive and determined and a breath of fresh air. Likewise, Gabriel was delicious. He was sexy and aggressive in the best ways but I did find him to be more of a vulnerable alpha hero than March's recent dominant heroes (ie. Mount and Savage.) I am so excited to see more of them both and the further development of their connection, chemistry and story.

Bring on book two! I am so here for it!

This is a hard review for me to write becasue I am a big fan of Meghan March but this book was just not what I was expecting.
The story started of fast pace and captivating but it quickly reduced speed. There is a lot of fill in fluff that could have been condensed becasue I found myself flicking through the pages a tad bored at times. It was not until about the 75% that the story really started going again and then I was back into it.
I look forward to the next book in the trilogy House of Scarlett to see where this story leads as I am sure Meghan has something big up her sleeve to come.

From the moment Gab Legend saw her face on the magazine he knew she could help him with his problems but made 1 mistake by voicing his thoughts to his best friend and manager of the club Q. Bump overheard the conversation and did what anyone with Bump mental capacity could do, Yes he kidnapped socialite Scarlett Priest and rolled her up in a carpet and brought her to his boss/friend Gabriel Legend night club Legends.

Gabriel Legend earn his money the best way he knows how, with his fist and put all that he had into his night club called Legends. Scarlett Priest comes from money socialite, mother was a high fashion model and father build Priest Pharmaceuticals. So they come from two different worlds Gab from the streets and Scarlett in her ivory tower. He would sell his soul for one taste of those red lips. Fight the devil himself to hear her laugh. Burn in hell to have a single night.Scarlett Priest shouldn't eve know men like Gabe exist, but sometimes temptation is stronger than will.

Once reality hit Gabe does what he believes is the right thing. Continue with the shrade with Ms Priest. Gabe told her why she was there, he wanted her to use her influence to pump life back into his club. All while believing if he let her go he would have to do jail time for kidnapping if he let her go. We started bargaining that she would show up at my club 2 Saturdays in a row then every other Saturday get people in the door by taking selfies and posting that she is here. So getting kidnapped in exchange for not dying she must save someone's business.

Scarlett decides she would help cause looking into those blue eyes has got her off her game but she remembers her tool of a boyfriend Chadwick who brings her closer to her father because he works for Priest Pharmaceuticals. However the spark and electricity she feels with Gabe is undeniable. Will Scarlett risk it all for 1 night with Gabe or be the good daughter n money pit for Chadwick

The insta-lust and the constant mentioning of said lust are kind of annoying but I liked Scarlett. I’m not sure yet if I want to continue this series though.

Meghan March lures me in without fail! Every damn time. She’s a prolific author of fast paced and suspense filled romances that always feature a strong-willed heroine and the broodiest, protective hero. The Fall of Legend doesn’t deviate too much from this common form she’s established, but that doesn’t make this narrative, with all its new characters and situations any lesser.

He’s menacing, raw, and otherworldly. Every move he makes, from the way he leans on his desk to the way he offers his hand, is precise, efficient, and carries the impression of leashed power.

Unfathomable facets manifest themselves into forming Gabriel Legend, a rough ex-cage fighter with a hard, difficult past that was only revealed in tidbits. Strength emanates in immeasurable waves from this man, exuding an untouchable and toughed exterior, but beneath the tarnished surface is someone who possesses an affectionate, tender side. Gabriel’s the broodiest, most appealing of March’s heroes to date!

Why I’m fixated on him, I can’t explain. Maybe because he lives in the shadows, while I live in the limelight.

Scarlett Priest appears to be nothing more than a self-absorbed, shallow socialite, but don’t be misled by Scarlett’s surface appearance—she’s determined, self-assured and stubborn; unafraid to pursue her dreams even when they feel trivial and childish, or chase after an enigmatic man who incites her hidden pleasures. Despite these favourable qualities, Scarlett isn’t as fierce as March’s previous heroines and she didn’t have that same strong-willed attitude we admire.

That one kiss was better than anything I’ve felt in a hell of a long time. Innocent. Sweet. But with a promise of fire.

Gabriel and Scarlett have a delicious slow burn romance that kindles and crackles into an intense connection. It was a long and languid adventure reaching this inevitable outcome, because when they finally connected they became inflamed; bonded within the confines of wanton desires and ferocious need. No matter how enamoured Gabriel and Scarlett left me, I had an issue with this romance’s development.

I’m used to Meghan March creating lust-filled, untamed romances that sometimes border over the top, but the journeys and conclusions are always satisfying. I wanted to love and adore Gabriel and Scarlett, but there seems to be more separation than connection, making it difficult to appreciate this relationship. Regardless of my issues or thoughts, I’m excited to witness how Gabriel and Scarlett undergo romantic and character development, because this is something always guaranteed with this author.

I realize this book is the first part of a trilogy. They’re are many dynamics to this story and they are all quite intriguing. I understand that setting up the foundation of Gabriel Legend and Scarlett Priest is essential to the trilogy. They come from different backgrounds and live totally different lives. And while I did like getting to know their backgrounds, their life and their close circle of friends, I found that in the middle of this story is where I found myself skimming. I think it was just that the story didn’t develop as fast as I thought it would.

But towards the end, I found out that I really started to enjoy the relationship between Gabriel and Scarlett. When I finished I wanted more and I can’t wait to see how their relationship develops in the next book. There are many twists and turns and coincidences that I know will fuel the trilogy. Gabe’s tight knit group and Scarlett’s posse of friends add a level of closeness to the story as well.

I’m looking forward to seeing how Scarlett takes control in House of Scarlett.

Why, why, why???? I kept swiping but there were no more pages and I was so not ready for this story to end!! If this book is any indication on how this story plays out then prepare to be enthralled, addicted and consumed by Gabriel Legend and Scarlett Priest. I was so immersed in this story that it monopolized my day and night because I couldn't stop reading, didn't want to stop reading and blatantly refused to stop reading until the end which left me absolutely speechless! Meghan never fails to give us a story that stays with us and invades our thoughts with all the theories of what will happen and what's to come, another March MASTERPIECE!

The Fall of Legend is another hit by Meghan March. The woman is adept at creating engaging stories with relatable characters. I expected a wild passionate ride and she did not disappoint. This book is a ten on the hotness meter.

I loved all the characters created by Meghan, and Gabriel and Scarlett were no different. From the moment I met him, I knew they would be great together. From two separate worlds, their paths should not have crossed, but circumstances brought them together. He lived in the shadows; she lived in the limelight. They may be worlds apart based on their social and financial status but when it came to negative forces in their lives, they were on common ground.

Scarlet Priest is a social media influencer who was determined to create her own identity. Despite her success as an influencer, she was never able to gain her father’s love and approval. She would do anything to get it; even it meant accepting ill treatment from her boyfriend. Eventually, she would recognize she deserved more and Gabriel was the man to give her just what she needed.

Gabriel grew up rough. Life had never been easy, and he fought hard literally and figuratively to be where he is today.

He is not interested in dating or any relationship with a woman. His only interest is to save his club and repay his debts. However, when he came face to face with Scarlett, his body, mind and heart had other ideas. He has never relied on anyone to rescue him until now and it created an uncomfortable feeling.

The story began on an interesting note, and from that moment, I was hooked. The story moved at a slower pace than I am used to from the author, but it did not hinder my enjoyment. This being the first book in the trilogy, the author provided sufficient background information about the characters, allowing me to understand the reasons behind their actions. This made it easier for me to handle the push and pull between Scarlett and Gabriel. There was enough sexual tension to overheat my kindle.

I was prepared for the cliffhanger, but I did not expect the heartbreaking ending. OMG!

As the story began to get hotter, BAM! it ended. Based on what have transpired so far, I am looking forward to a thrilling conclusion.

Conclusion/Recommendation
All in All a great read. Meanwhile, I am looking forward to the next book, House of Scarlett, which will release next month.

AHH! When Meghan March drops a new series, you run as fast as you can to start it. Fall of Legend was a great start to a new series. Gabriel Legend and Scarlett Priest have a connection and despite their different upbringings, circumstances bring them both into each other's lives and boy was I here for it! I for one cannot wait for the next book in the series!

Without giving away any spoilers, this story provided a detailed background of Legend and Scarlett and the different cast of characters. Gabriel and Scarlett had a connection like all of March's heroes and heroines but I feel like this story was different from her previous books as Gabriel almost seemed vulnerable and unsure about himself with Scarlett as the pursuer (vs the usual aggressive alpha males we've come to expect in her stories). Overall, I enjoyed their chemistry and can't wait for more! 4 stars! ~Ratula

OMGOMGOMGOMG!!!!! So fucking good! I’m addicted. Sexual tension. The push and pull. Omg I’m so invested and it’s ONLY BOOK ONE!!!Ms. March always delivers but this one is off the charts. My giddy meter is at ELEVEN people!! I need more LEGEND!! And Scarlett. Holy fn a folks. I’m in. All in. This one reminds me a little of earlier Ms. March books...a little more paced like the Beneath series, which I LOVED. I really enjoyed this one. No pressure Ms. March but I am watching and waiting lol xo

Ahahah what a ridiculous ending I really started laughin not gonna lie

Review in German, english maybe later since I got it as an Arc (Rezensionsexemplar)

The Fall Of Legend is bookish perfection! Meghan March has blended my very favorite things about her Beneath series with all of the twists and jaw-dropping turns of her trilogies into a novel that grabs you from the first page and never lets you go. Riveting, sexy, and emotional, The Fall Of Legend will stay with you for long after you've read 'The End' and have you begging for book two!

I don’t know how she does it, but Meghan March always achieves to create new characters and stories that have me wholly entranced. The Fall of Legend was a very anticipated read for me as Gabriel Legend sounded so mysterious and it even exceeded my expectations! This novel was addictive and incredible from start to finish!

OMG! Gabriel Legend is one of my new favorite hero from Meghan. He oozes maleness, power and mystery in spades, but while the story progresses we discover the real man under this hard untouchable persona. His past isn’t happy and he lived the last fifteen years in survival mode not making any real relationship. He lost too much and can’t bear the thought of losing loved ones again. Enters Scarlett Priest, sexy blonde socialite that brings a primal reaction in him. Their connection is so palpable and intense from their first meeting. The chemistry and attraction is undeniable and every shared moment between them left me gasping for air and my heart beating wildly!

Scarlett couldn’t be more different than Gabriel, but there’s just something in the man that calls to her. They share something truly magnetic and unexplainable. She’s seen as this unattainable woman coming from money, but image can be deceiving sometimes. She’s down to earth and so interesting. Gabriel brings a daring side in her and makes her comes alive. She’s always played it safe, but this incomparable man makes her bold and courageous. I love seeing her attitude and provocative moments to make the man crack his hard exterior!

Their interactions are sexy, sweet and irresistible! All of this romance is growing with a touch of suspense and intrigue as the whole plotline develops. Legend’s past is looming over him and she’s his last option to save his club.

I’m dying for the next novel in the Legend Trilogy with that heartbreaking and sudden ending. There’s so much more I need to know about both protagonists. Meghan March ensnared me entirely with this gripping story exuding desire and secrets. The supporting cast also makes this read more profound! All the stars to this unputdownable story!!!

Another incredible story from Meghan March! The Fall of Legend grabbed ahold of me from the very beginning and it still has me in its clutches! I can’t stop thinking about this one.

March never fails to deliver a story that digs its way in. She gives us something new and fresh while keeping that same overall feel we’ve grown to love from her. The thrill of the story, deep and bold characters, and writing that makes you feel as though you’re part of the action were completely captivating. House of Scarlett can’t get here soon enough!!

I had high expectations from this trilogy...
but unfortunately it didn't fulfill any of it...
It felt flat, the plot twists were less than believable and I needed more substance than just a physical chemistry between the characters...

And I’m all in once again.

Not that is any surprise since I do tend to fall down the rabbit hole with this particular author in one way or another, but from the first page to the last I was hooked and am definitely looking forward to seeing all the crazy that Legend and Scarlett will not only put themselves through, but be put through by others, to get their HEA.

So, this is a trilogy which means we only get a taste of what’s to come, but what I can say is that I loved Legend and Scarlett. (Though I wanted to reach into the kindle many times in the first half of the book and shake some sense into Scarlett ~ but thankfully that urge faded in the last half) Both are so much more than they appear to be on the surface and despite their difference in social status, they have quite a few similar traits that make it easy to see how they could have more if given the chance. The chemistry between them is hot and I loved how they started to get to know each in the book.

Now, this is a trilogy and an ending that is definitely not all that satisfying. It isn’t an OMFG type of ending, at least IMHO, but it is one that definitely has me looking forward to the next chapter in their journey. There are quite a few issues both are dealing with, so I’m quite interested in seeing which ones will become roadblocks in their journey and which ones won’t. And then there are all the newbies we get to meet in this baby. I’m loving Kelsey, Monroe and Harlow and hoping to get more of Zoe as well. Then there’s Q, Bo, Bump and a few others who have peaked my interest as well and I’m looking forward to getting to know them all a lot better in the next two installments!
