I loved this 3 book series.

One thing I will say as a gripe, is that the Scotch Series ended at 75%, and there has been another book added on to the end. I haven’t read the extra book. It was disappointing to get to the end.

Now, in saying that, the series grabbed my attention and I ended up turning the pages well into the night for a few nights, and ended up feeling like I had a hangover because I was sleep-deprived!

I was on the fence as far as Crewe was concerned, but did understand why he did

The Scotch Series boxset

I got half the way through the 9th chapter of the first book in this series and stop reading it all together. What a horrific book. It is morbid on so many levels. Kidnapping, Torture, Slavery, Rape and so much more. To think that there might be a happy ending to this story is beyond belief. I wouldn't recommend this series to anyone. Absolutely Horrible. There are too many monsters in this world for me to read a fictional story about one for entertainment. It isn't worth

Absolutely the worst read ever

I wasted two hours of my life trying to get through the disgusting parts of this book series before deciding to super swipe to the end so I can leave a review then delete this "book" from my reading list forever. Absolute trash. I couldn't get far enough in to get to find out if there were any redeeming qualities. Kidnapping, rape, slavery, degrading and defeating women... we all know those people are out there. Perhaps we can agree that it is not ok to romanticize

Abuse, kidnapping, rape, and violence. Some guy tries to swindle a "mafia boss", and in retaliation, the guy kidnaps the sister of the first idiot. She's beautiful, smart and obviously attracted to her kidnapper because thats what makes women swoon -.- It was a free box set of cringe-worthy toxic attempts at romance. Read at your own risk!

I can't believe I haven't ever read anything from this author before. I saw an advertisement on Facebook and went to Amazon. I have been reading for days now, unable to put the book down. I am not much on sexual activity scenes but with everything else going on in the book it made to ok. I cant get over the relationship between Crewe & London. It was unbelievable. I dont want to describe the book I want you to get it and enjoy everything about it just as I did. This

Buttons & Lace

Grinded is not a word!!! He ground against her. The Scotch King, not Scots, but a man who distills scotch whisky (whiskEy is American). Titled, wealthy, gangster and undeniably cruel. Betrayed by a fellow criminal punishes the man by kidnapping his sister and making her his slave.

The Scotch Queen
Thrilling but lacking. He was a good of emotion too easily manipulated by a woman with Stockholm syndrome. She is traumatized by being kidnapped and moved to a prison
cell. Threatened

The Scotch Series Boxset: Contemporary Dark Romance

I enjoyed this whole series, I had already read the Lingerie Series, enjoying all the mystery and sex. The power games that are played out in the stories are very interesting, believing there truly are people like that through out the world. Scary to think about how that I am grown up and living life with much more awareness of my surroundings. I try to instill that in my children and grandchildren, but can only hope they stay safe. I would

The Scotch Series 1-3

Crowe and London are explosive together. Once I began reading I could not stop. This all began with London’s brother Joseph cheating Crowe out of four million dollars. After working on a deal together Joseph decides to pay Crowe with fake bills. Now that is a no-no anytime. So in retaliation Crowe kidnapped his sister London. I refuse to tell the rest because it’s too good. You’ve gotta read it. At the end of these three is Buttons and Lace. Whoo hoo it’s great too. I’m

(For me less than one star) There wasn't any romance, I couldn't even get past the first several chapters because of the cruelty the main male character portrays and the Stockholm syndrome the heroine has. I don't subscribe to the mindset of "it's okay to make allowances for abusive relationships to continue just because the characters become obsessed with each other, also excuse the violence and physical abuse perpetrated on the heroine by the male character himself just because this is a work ...more

Good but not 5 Stars
I loved this story it sucked me in from the start which is hard to do. This book contained something I love which is the Historical and she put a spin on it no one I know of has ever done she brought it to modern time then she threw in a criminal mastermind who happens to be a Duke Crewe is that bad boy you want to hate but you just can't. Bring in the leading lady who is just a pawn in a well-played game she's strong and never lets her fear show London is amazing in every

The story line was fast-paced, but the main characters' actions weren't believable and most of the other characters' behaviors were incredibly shocking. Not that I don't believe there's a thriving sex traffic cartel, or that corporate and criminal espionage and blackmail aren't real, or the fact that they exists just below the surface of the clean and bright reality most people live in. What was a challenge for me was that the reader was supposed to feel happy for the victim and basically ...more

I truly enjoyed this series to the point that I'm going to continue with the next book...something that I hardly ever do... This author is just what I want to read when I want to escape for a weekend...and she did just that I couldn't get anything else done around the house except reading this book...
The highs and the lows were a real roller coaster ride...I never have given much thought to what happens in this series so I won't go forward and let you discover what some women endure... Made me

I. COULDN'T. PUT. THIS. DOWN! (Slight spoiler ahead......) Even though this story is about kidnapping with rape connotations and submitting to your captor from a huge case of Stockholm Syndrome, it kept me engaged. I wanted to know what they would do next and how they justified/ rationalized their actions. Crewe & London kept me wanting to be involved in their chemistry. Pearl and Crowe are keeping me at the edge of my seat. Will be buying the rest of the Buttons trilogy!

This book is offensive and disgusting....unless you enjoy abuse, rape and violence towards women by egomaniacal, evil men.

I finished this series hoping to find something redeeming but there was nothing of the sort. The graphic descriptions of The violent sex and abuse was horrific. Maybe it is an extreme view of s&m and Stockholm syndrome but nonetheless, the degradation of the female characters was sickening. Since there is no option to rate less than zero, I had to give it a star in hopes

4.5 stars I enjoy reading your work.

I stared racing the Buttons and Lace book at the end f this series and I would love to read that set of books as well but when your on disability your funds are limited. But I did enjoy what I read a great deal. But you I can't buy them when I need medicine and food something's have to be more important. And I read most of my day to ignore pain. So thanks but I'm sorry I can't spend the money. It sounds pretty interesting.

Loved it

This is by far one of my favorite series I've read. I loved the development of the characters and reading how their story grew. There was some unnecessary repetition, like how many inches he his. We get it, ok? That aside, I don't usually get overly emotional when I read, but I actually cried a couple of times in this story. It just pulls you in and you can't put it down! Highly recommend!

Actually, this is one novel in three books, I like better when they are in one volume. Once said this, I loved it, I just loved it. This is not just about another love story, it has elements from a thriller and suspense. The characters are described almost as under a microscope. It is impossible not to feel empathy and simpathy for them, they are good, they are bad, they are human and that makes them interesting and atractive. Highly recommendable.

Slavery & marriage

This series was pretty intense on a few levels! I loved the romance part very erotic book more then most but then again you can never have to much lol, I love the characters and their passion they have crewe is my favorite! Give this book 4 stars would have been 5 if the ending played out more instead if cutting off then going 2 years ahead I wanna know what happen in those last 2 years !

when I first started reading this book I did not care for much but I always read at least 5 chapters before I stop a book to give the book a chance. After I got done with chapter 1 and started on the next chapter,I still didn't care for the book but I still wanted to find out what is fixing to happen so I kept on reading and then I finished the book and it was way better then I first thought it would be at the beginning

This book was way to dark for me.

The only part of this book reading was the last chapter. Been there done that. But books like Grey and Gray had actual humans and a story worth reading. This book was way to dark and animalistic for my taste. To each his own. Penelope Sky is not and author, I care to ever read again.. I AM DONE WITH DARK ROMANCE!

Done means done. I will not date this, but no stars isn't an option!

Left me breathless

Its not very often that a series takes me on an emotional rollercoaster, but this one certainly did. The things that London and Crewe had to go through to be together left me with so many mixed emotions. in the end I was left with a feeling of peace and that everything worked out the way it was suppose to. Please read this series, you won't regret it.
Got this series for free and enjoyed them. Definitely would warn against triggers - kidnapping, violence, threat m, offensive language and graphic scenes of sex etc A good idea for plot but just needed more development, especially in the 2nd & 3rd books. Did notice a few editing mistakes e.g. spellings and grammatical errors but this didn’t hinder the book much

This started out well with a good premise and interesting characters. Books 1 and 2 end on cliff-hangers which would be an auto -1/2 star if read individually. The big issues were the plot holes in book 2 and excessive angst/contrived drama in book 3. Does end on an hea.

Also - not all that dark after the first half of book 1.

Hot and Sizzling!

Crewe Donaghue is a sexy, staunch, and sophisticated aristocrat who loves beautiful women as much as he loves drinking his company's prestigious scotch. Crewe not only hob knobs with royalty, he's also the head of a ruthless criminal organization.

The series is full of surprises, angst, and sizzling sex, sex, and more sex!

You kidnap her but she kidnapped his heart

Crewe kidnapping of Joseph's sister London to settle a score. She was to be his slave and sold to a business partner. When he saw the collar and leash he couldn't do it. He never knew he would be changed by this woman. But she changed him into a new man he could truly be proud of. He felt he was the luckiest man in the world.

Finished the 3rd book in series and did love reading it. I'm a sucker for happy endings especially when the heroin has such an awful start. A little too much sex for my taste, I love the back story! I will give 4 stars as I enjoyed the story but it is a little predictable. My first Penelope Sky read, but will check on more "romance" from this author.

Good read

I liked the story line and it was written well. But there were parts (mainly the sex scenes) that were overdone and exactly the same. They all ended 'with his name on her lips'. *insert eye roll here. I do like the way that it was written, I will check out other books by this author.

Loved it!

This series was awesome from beginning to end! I had trouble putting down my device and taking breaks because I wanted to know what happened next! I totally recommend this trilogy. At the end is the first book in the buttons series and I feel like this series is going to blow it out of the water! Can’t wait to read book 2 and continue on Pearl’s journey.
