Lush, provocative, and fun!

Honeymoon for One is a charming, uplifting tale that takes you into the life of the sweet, heartbroken Lila who after being bamboozled on her wedding day travels to the idyllic San Valentino couples resort where she embarks on a honeymoon alone that includes scrumptious food, delicious cocktails, unexpected visitors, and a neighbouring guest who is practically perfect.

The writing is crisp and light. The characters are charismatic, clever, and endearing. And the plot is

This story was everything I love in a good romantic comedy. I found myself smiling throughout the entire book. A swoon worthy romance with loveable characters. Perfect summer read!

Romance author Lila Rose couldn’t write a more dramatic scene than what transpired on her wedding day. After discovering her fiance, Daniel, cheating on her, she leaves the venue without a word. But she doesn’t stay down for long. With her honeymoon pre-booked, and seeing no reason why it should go to waste, she jets off to a remote resort in Italy. It’s perfect. She’ll hide out, write her next novel, and find a way to start over. However, when Daniel shows up with his new partner, Lila enters a ...more

The second I saw the cover and title for this book I suspected strongly that I would love it. I was just so intrigued, who is going on a honeymoon by themselves, and based on the gorgeous colours just what hot and exotic honeymoon destination is it!

Well those questions are all answered within the first couple of chapters, so i can easily say that Lila, an hour or so before getting married to Daniel, over hears him talking to one of her friends and it is clear they have been having an affair. In

Gosh, I had a huge grin on my face as I read this book! Lila and Freddie were simply adorable!
Lila is all set to marry Daniel, her boyfriend of five years. He's a safe bet, being financially stable and not prone to dramatics, despite what her best friend Ali thinks. But on the morning of her wedding day, Lil
The cover and title for this one had me intrigued even before I read the synopsis and it lived up to my expectations, proving to be a great, fun read about realising dreams and reality don't always match and that love really has to find a way!

Lila Rose is a romantic comedy author who has written about so many weddings she's determined her own will be just perfect, avoiding all the pitfalls, angst and turmoil so often experienced by the characters in her stories. However, she hadn't counted on he

What a great debut! I felt like it was a little long and wordy but I did enjoy it a lot.
Also, Freddie was tooooo perfect. Like ZERO flaws. It seems so unrealistic to the rest of the characters.
I don’t think Daniel or Eva got what they deserve. Why would Lila stay around them?
I don’t want to post spoilers so please just give it a read.

Lot of cliches but still made for a very fun read. The paradise on earth kind of location is a major plus and well so was Freddie. The book felt longer than it was but the characters were interesting enough to make you keep reading

My Review
If there's one thing that this Ginger Book Geek likes, it's discovering new authors. Frankie Collins is certainly a new author for me and having enjoyed 'Honeymoon For One' as much as I did, I will most certainly be reading Frankie's future work too. I totally, utterly and flipping well loved reading 'Honeymoon For One' but more about that in a bit.
I took to Lila Rose from the very first moment that I met her and it didn't take long until I began to think of her as a friend of mine. Sh

Lila Rose is a romantic comedy author and she knows what her readers expect from her - happy ending of course, so she always gives them what they want. She's planned so many weddings in her books that she knows well how her own should look like, without all the pitfalls and troubles her characters experience. However, what she hasn't counted on was hearing her husband - to - be Daniel and her friend Eva confessing their love on the day Lila and Daniel are supposed to get married.

My thanks to Boldwood Books for the blog tour invite and my gifted ebook review copy of the fabulous 'Honeymoon for one' by Frankie Collins which is out now in paperback and kindle editions.

Where to begin? This is a hilarious summer romp that washes over you like a luscious Mediterranean wave that envelops you in it's embrace-big hearted, hilarious and poignant I loved it!

This story has me smiling from the beginning. Lila is funny, self-critical and a planner, she likes to be in control, believing that things will only go to plan if she organises it. I can relate to her, and that makes her realistic. The overheard conversation, is not in the plan for an ideal wedding, neither is going on a honeymoon alone, but if you're running, might as well make it somewhere hot and luxurious?

The honeymoon setting is vividly described and lovely, but it's the characters that ma

Oh my goodness! I have been so excited to read this beauty of a book! I definitely have not been disappointed.
The story captures the reader from the very beginning. You just have to know what is going to happen after Lila finds out about the affair that has been going on while she has been planning the perfect wedding.
The characters in this book are extremely likeable and I have had many laugh out loud moments from the book. It is written in such a way, you feel as though you are there watching

You are transported to Italy, to San Valentino, for this summery romcom. I found it to be a real tonic as there is so much humour within the writing. There are some larger than life characters and situations which do cause you to suspend belief but that's OK. I can take all the coincidences when the writing is so enjoyable.

I loved the fact that Lila is a writer of romcoms herself. I am sure the author put in many a wry line around deadlines and generally finding the inspiration for her books.

On the morning of her wedding, Lila finds out that her fiance is cheating on her, so she runs away, deciding to go on the honeymoon on her own. Unfortunately this is to an island desitnation very much aimed at couples. While she is there she meets Freddie, the only other person there on his own. She doesn't know who he is, which is a refreshing change for him, and they quickly start to spend more time together, especially when he ex and his new girlfriend also turn up on the island.

So I’m not normally someone into a romance book but loved this one. A well written, humorous book that ever will love.
Lila has planned her wedding to the finest detail. What she didn’t expect was that she’d find out an hour before the wedding that her husband to be was cheating with one of the guests.
Lila flees the venue and goes to the place she would have been spending her honeymoon. After all it’s paid for and no one will look for her there.
Once on the island of her dreams she meets another

When Disaster Strikes, paradise Calls. That’s right, that’s what happened in this book. Lila the protagonist of the book is a rom com author and she was heartbroken was she found out that her fiancé was cheating on her in there wedding day. What she did was something expected, she cancelled the wedding and go on honeymoon alone and there she met movie star Freddie.
This book is funny and light hearted. Perfect book for summer read.

This was a fun chick-lit beach read. The story is simple, and has been done a few times, but I enjoyed the witty dialogue. The characters were fun as was the description of the resort. Thanks to Netgalley for providing me with an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Honeymoon For One by Frankie Collins is a fun romantic comedy, that I really enjoyed. Lila Rose is a romance writer on her big wedding day when she hears her fiance declaring his love for another women, before the wedding. Lila decides to go on their honeymoon alone. When she gets there she meets a handsome man, Freddie, she thinks is a bartender but he is really a movie star. Everyone on the island is in couples except Lila and Freddie. I have become wary of books promoting themselves as 'fun' this summer, which have then fallen flat - however, this book does deliver exactly what it promises on the 'blurb'.

This book is well written, with comedy, tragedy and romance thrown into the mix. I love the fact that the main character Lila Rose is a romantic novelist (when the book is being written by a romantic novelist) who appears to have as much luck in life as Bridget Jones who meets Freddie (who appears to be modelled on the actor

Lila’s wedding does not go to plan because she catches out her cheating fiancee before the ceremony. She ends up going on her honeymoon to a couple style resort alone where she meets Freddie a famous actor who is also on holiday solo. Then her ex and his side piece turn up too!!

This was a such an enjoyable book to read. The writing was excellent and I loved Lila’s voice. It felt like she was actually talking to the reader throughout. Freddie was such a sweetie from the moment they met. His show
