Elle Spencer is slowly but surely taking her spot up there on my fav authors list! The thing about her is that she’s consistent .. you know when she has sthg new, that it will be on your “to read” list even without reading the blurb.
This one specifically was as expected very entertaining! The idea and the plot was interesting..
So I really liked Rachel (even had a small crush on her) but I wanted to strangle Veronica ! It’s not that I didn’t like her character it’s just that god she’s so a
30 dates in 30 days, can you even imagine all that pressure and awkwardness. Hard pass. Don't hard pass on this book though, Elle Spencer gives us a delightful romance full of fun, silliness, angst and a dang good romance.

Veronica Welch is just a few weeks away from being named partner at her prestigious New York City law firm. Her goal has been to make partner and then find the love of her life and settle down. That is winning to Veronica. While the partnership is almost a done deal

Veronica is a New York lawyer on the precipice of becoming partner at her firm. Her assistant, Bea, sneakily sets her up on a date each night until Veronica finds 'the one.' This is all the result of a drunken night where Veronica uncharacteristically spilled how she wanted to be married by the time she was 35. Well, 35 is just around the corner.

I'm an Elle Spencer fan. I want to say that this was surprisingly good, but I guess I shouldn't really be that surprised. She generally delivers on eve

While I really like The Road to Madison, it lacked (mostly due to a rather tragic premise) what made Casting Lacey so good, this quirky and witty sense of humor. But it’s back in this new novel and that makes my heart sing.

Veronica « V » Welch is a very busy lawyer who has sacrificed everything on her way to be named a partner by the firm she works for. One night, she goes out to celebrate a big win and spills the beans to her very sweet and meddling assistant Bea abo

I will admit that I was so looking forward to this book and dreading it as well.  I loved Casting Lacey but The Road to Madison frustrated me beyond belief.  Which side would 30 Dates in 30 Days fall on?   Thankfully this one fell in the Love It category.

Veronica Welch is a woman with a plan - make partner and get a partner by the time she's 35.   Well on the way to her professional goal, she is sorely behind on her personal goal.  Thankfully her assistant, Bea, and mo

Veronica Welch is about to become a partner in the prestigious law firm she has worked for the past few years. About to turn thirty five and with her career on track, she’s pushed into finding ‘the one’. Her assistant signs Veronica up for 30 dates in 30 days through an app, and arranges for the dates to meet at the bar next door. The experience proves to be futile but does manage to bring Rachel into her life. Rachel Monaghan is a wedding photographer helping her cousin with bartending duties d ...more

Veronica Welch is a lawyer about to be named partner at one of the most prestigious law firms in New York City. Her professional life’s goal almost achieved, she wants to get married by the age of 35. As she lets her plan known to her assistant, Bea organises a series of 30 dates in 30 days for her boss. After the fantastic Casting Lacey and the not-so-wonderful The Road to Madison, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect with this story. I’m happy to report that it’s a winner!

MC Veronica has poured her whole life into making partner at her law firm. She’s set aside her personal life for years and has given every spare minute to the firm, but now that she’s approaching 35, she realizes that her dream of making partner is within reach and she’s got nothing else to show for it. When her assistant, Be
I read this book a few days ago now and had since been putting off writing a review for it because I'd been having a difficult time trying to put my thoughts into words. Luckily not so long ago I stumbled onto a ridiculously simple format that seemed to work. So here goes.

+ Lots and lots of humor.
+ The banter between Bea & Veronica.
+ Fast and straightforward set up of plot.
+ Dates are named after their drinks.
+ Secondary characters Joe, Carol and Harry. ...more
Elle Spencer is rapidly becoming one of my favorite authors. Her skill in writing romance with a mixture of chemistry, angst and humor is outstanding, and this skill is very evident in her newest novel 30 Dates in 30 Days.
In this tale, we meet Veronica Welch who has achieved most of her “life plan”. She is a successful lawyer who is about to be made partner in a prestigious law firm. There is only one goal she has yet to achieve. She had planned to be married by the age of thirty-five which is onl

I've enjoyed a lot this book, I also liked the previous book of this author The Road to Madison, and I've been really glad to find the couple star in that book, Madison and Ana, showing up in this one, amidst a great amount of women, by de way.

Because it starts as a kind of lesbian catwalk, since the main character of the story, Veronica, is nudged by her assistant Bea to find the perfect woman to fulfill her dream of happy ever after, now that she has almost achieved a partnership in the law f

Another wonderful story by Elle Spencer. As usual with her books the main characters have a strong chemistry between them. Their dialog, their banter, their interaction, everything is just right. Even the secondary characters feel as real as the main ones.
This book was funny and emotional, two qualities that I've come to expect from Elle Spencer's books.
Loved it!

Definitely "all the feels!" The only way this could be better is to have the perfect narrator acting it out for us.
ARC received via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I read Spencer’s The Road to Madison and was underwhelmed. This is a vast improvement.

Here, we have MC Veronica, a lawyer on track to becoming partner at her firm who is approaching 35 and wants to be married by then. Her assistant and mother come up with a scheme to set her up on 30 dates in 30 days to find ‘the one’.

The other MC is Rachel, a wedding photographer who is helping out a her cousin’s bar due to a family illness. Thi
4.25 stars - Having to go through 30 dates in 30 days honestly sound like my worst nightmare, but oh what a delightful premise for a romcom! I had great expectations for this new book by Spencer and I wasn’t disappointed! It’s (mostly) heartlighted, funny and with a side of tasteful angst.

Veronica Welch has worked hard and had to make sacrifices her entire career to make partner at the prestigious law firm where she works. On the verge of turning 35, and with the partnership pretty m
I have read all of Elle Spencer's books that have been published through Amazon and it is easy to see she is getting better with her storytelling and her writing. The main characters, Veronica (lawyer) and Rachel (photog by day bartender by night) are very likable but of course one of them has to be kind of hate-able (Rachel) as the story progresses. It really is a story about finding your one and only and figuring out to make her your one and only when the "one" doesn't want to be her. Confused ...more

3/4 of the way through this book I thought it was going to get a rare 5 stars.

Great structure. Realistic(by lesrom standards) leads. Appealing cast of support characters. Funny. Believable barriers to love.

Unfortunately it didn’t *quite* stick the landing. Definitely not a complete spill but enough of a wobble that it slightly took the gloss off.

Don’t let that stop you though. This was a really pleasurable read and well worth th

Veronica Welch has it all. She is about to make partner at the law firm where she works, great parents and over all a good life. She is only missing one thing - the girl. She is about to turn 35 and thought she would have the wife, house, picket fence and kids by now. Her assistant has made it a mission to find her the woman of her dreams. She has signed her up for a dating site and is arranging 30 dates in 30 days. Rachel Monaghan is a woman scorned. She doesn't believe in love anymore. She is ...more

I loved this. I’ve been a fan of Elle Spencer since her fanfic days. The biggest pro of this story is the chemistry! I’ve read a few books recently where I haven’t felt the chemistry, but that wasn’t the case in this one.

We love light-hearted romcoms with a side of drama and Spencer’s books mostly fit this groove nicely. This one is no exception. It has an entertaining premise – racing against time (35th birthday being round the corner) to find The One, in a month via thirty dates and thirty days.

Oh well, I don't know what I expected but I certainly got more! This book sparkles with good humor, witty banter and beautiful, tasteful flirting! I loved it! Everything in it! Veronica, Rachel, Bea, Charlotte, Harry and the whole gang in the bar. I loved every single character as it's written so skillfully and they all have been given a soul, which I don't find often in books. I heartily recommend this book as it's one of the nicest I've read any time recently.

I love a story about a supposedly driven person who is looking for love but is going about it in an earnest, if misguided way. That's pretty much what Veronica Welch is doing when she is roped into going on 30 dates in 30 days by her assistant. Veronica is a driven individual, but is a romantic at heart - she's looking for the lasting love that she sees in her parents. Unfortunately, she's also incredibly driven to get her promotion at work, so most of the motivation is to make partner. Enter se ...more

Fun with a capital F. This romantic comedy did not disappoint. I knew from the start that this read would be light, entertaining, and have a strong connection to family. I can appreciate and understand the desire to get one's career on solid ground then locate that special someone. I really loved this book by Elle Spencer. The book gave so much with some serious tough times along with some laughs.

Veronica was the hero of this book for me, she was vulnerable, goofy (which I didn't expect at first) and funny which had me rooting for her from the start. Rachel for me was the classic character that you just wanted to shake. She was lucky Veronica was always so forgiving and willing to put herself out there.

This was a fun sweet read which I highly recommend.

I love stories that grab your attention with humor within the first few pages. Elle Spencer’s latest novel did just that.

Veronica was a workaholic NYC lawyer who hoped to attain two goals by her 35th birthday: to be made partner in the law firm and find someone to share her life with. Veronica’s assistant, Bea, set her up on a dating service for 30 dates in 30 days. They would meet at the same local bar with a 30 minute get to know you time limit.

The last book, the Madison one, felt like way to much drama and unnecessary complications, it was good, but a lot, so I wasn’t expecting much of this one.

I really enjoyed it. It was funny, complicated, convoluted, relatable. Not the 30 dates in 30 days, all of them gorgeous women, but the horror that is using dating apps, and then trying to be entertaining and entertained on those dates. The baggage and insecurities we all have.

The MC’s where engaging and flawed. Their stories felt normal, not

An honest review thanks to NetGalley. Casting Lacey is one of my all time favorite books, in the past when I have read Spencer's newer books I was massively disappointed. As I held them up to the standard of Casting Lacey, with 30 Dates in 30 days, I was not disappointed at all. This was a great book that was sweet, funny and had just enough of an obstacle and connection to keep me reading. Rachel and Veronica are perfect together and you will love their story.
