BEST ROMANCE OF 2019!! Thanks to Elizabeth for providing me with an ARC of this amazing book!

Elizabeth O'Roark has always been one of my automatic reads, but this book is my favorite to date. Her new time travel series (Parallel) is fabulous, and this book is an wonderful addition to that world.

This story revolves around Amelie, who is from the 1990s, and Henri, the man she meets when she travels back to France in the 1930s. Amelie is haunted by dreams of Kat, her dead sister. Each dream is the

I couldn't wait to read this book once Elizabeth O'Roark made the announcement that there would be a story taking place in historic France. After reading Parallel and Intersect, I couldn't get enough of this world of time traveling women, particularly regarding a mysterious character whom the reader didn't have the opportunity to get to know, but very much wants to and has so many questions for her and her past. This book did not disappoint and carried the same vein of romance, angst, wit and ...more

I’m in love with Elizabeth O’Roark’s writing.
Across Time is unlike any contemporary romance.
I read it straight through and was left with a major hangover.
It has time travel, mystery and the romance.
Characters that are unforgettable. Intricate storyline that leaves you guessing.
I’m a history buff so this one really tripped my trigger.
This is part 1 of a duet.

Loved loved loved this story. This book is further proof that Elizabeth O’Roark is some sort of magical literary unicorn. I’m not typically a paranormal fan, or a historical fiction fan, really, but she made me one with Across Time. I was so invested in the story and can’t wait to see how it comes together!!!

Received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Elizabeth knocks it out of the park again!! Couldn’t put it down. What continues to impress me is her beautiful writing and how much more advanced her plots and style are than most other novels in this category. Can’t wait for her next one!!

First of all, this cover, y'all! He looks like even more of a bad boy than James Dean. Henri Durand might be a bit of a bad boy, but he's also so full of swoon-inducing love, compassion and fierce protectiveness that he makes me want to time travel back to 1938 so I can witness all his hero yumminess in person.

Amelie Besson gets to experience all things Henri, but it takes a while for him to show her his good side, and that’s certainly not why she traveled from 1987 back to 1938. Her deceased

This is book one of a duet and a prequel to the author’s previous books Parallel and Intersect. Henri and Amelie will surely captivate your heart and stir your imagination.

Young Amelie Besson, an eighteen-year-old girl goes back fifty years in time (1938) and meets Henri Durand, a protective and moody Frenchman. And yes, you got it right, Amelie is a time traveller albeit a reluctant one. I don’t want to go into too much detail to avoid any spoilers but

Across time, is a book that will defy time. Once you pick it up, you won't know where the time went. It is hard not to read this story in just one sitting. It has that perfect balance of slow burn and intrigue that makes it impossible to set down. The depth of characters in this story will have you feeling and fall in love with the characters as they find their way. For those of you who loved the Parallel duet, this one will absolutely blow you away.

Omg!!! Seriously my favorite read of 2019! Ok, first a few things. This was my first ARC ever. I won a giveaway, which I don't think I've ever won anything besides a T-shirt at camp in 4th grade. Second, this ends in a cliffhanger! So anybody who's so turned off by cliffhangers they lower the rating of a book, do your research first.

Ok, the goods. I don't even know where to start! The book starts out with 21 year old Sarah leaving New York in 1987 in search of a woman in 1938 France. She's been

GUYS! To say that I was 100% prepared to not like this book is an understatement. I adored the Parallel Duet so when I signed up to review this ARC I was beyond ecstatic.. Until I read the first page of the first chapter. The 'present' time is set in 1987 and our protagonist, Amelie is 21 years old. I read that and instantly disconnected. I don't know about you all but I relate more to people who grew up in the 90's-2000's. I text my friend and said well i'm obligated to review this book now but ...more

Elizabeth O’Roark does it again. I didn’t think it was possible to love a book more than I did the Parallel series, yet here we are, with another addictive story I’m absolutely in love with. From the prologue I was hooked and unable to put this book down until I consumed every, last word within one day. My heart feels heavy knowing I can’t find out what happens until April but rest assured, this is one book I won’t be able to stop thinking about! I loved this book. It was a perfect addition to the other books in the Parallel series. I was drawn in from the very beginning and couldn't put it down. I cannot wait until 4/1/20 to read the 2nd part of this book. This is a love story that spans across decades and has you wondering how it will work, but Elizabeth O'Roark does it beautifully. Across Time by Elizabeth O'Roark is a full length, stand alone romance.
The story starts out in the early golden twenties. Amelie Besson is from a family with special abilities. And these abilties of her lead her on a unique journey and I was happy to accompany her on her journey.
Amelie is looking for Marie and Henry, her soulmate lover. She left behind a life well lived, a family and more, much more.

Did you like the movie "Time travelers wife"? This may be for you!

I'm not typically a fan of time jumping books. Perhaps because the bulk are eras in the very distant past, even centuries prior so I have issues relating many times. I'm also not into supernatural (werewolves, vamps, etc). However, this one is the prequel in a sense; to the Parallel Duet Series. Parallel and Intersect which

I don’t think Elizabeth O’Roarke knows how to write a bad book and I would honestly read the phone book if she wrote it. I must say I I loved, loved, loved this book!! I was so eager for more backstory after the Parallel books and did not think I could love this book more, however I did. Amazing, well thought out story!!

This is the third book in the Parallel series, telling the story of Amelie from the 1990s and Henri back in 1938 France and just like the first two I was not disappointed. It ends on a cliff hanger and I’m eagerly awaiting the next instalment.

O’Roark’s writing is flawless in telling this tale and as usual the character development is brilliant.

At first, it is a slow burn romance with a mystery. But more is the transformation of Amelies character. Whilst she

Across Time was the bomb diggity! I blew through this book in 5 fantastic hours. I had started it late at night then had to reluctantly pause to get some shuteye. I am in LOVE with this series! From the moment I opened the book until the very end, I was hooked! The writing is smooth, flawless and easy to follow. I love the creative mind behind this story and it was executed with precision.

At the beginning of the story Amelie is a pushover, somewhat of a doormat. Through her experiences and the love from the right person, she flourishes into a strong and self-confident woman. I appreciated seeing her blossom into a brave and fierce woman. Henri is a man

First I'll say if you haven't read the Parallel duet, stop and go read that. It's amazing. And I don't do time travel books so there's that.

The thing with time travel books is there is SO MUCH to keep track of. If you fool with this, it changes that. Your head can actually spin from the possibilities and keeping track. What this book (and the duet before it) did was simplify it in such a way that you're not confused. The only things you don't know are what the author hasn't entirely revealed to

For a couple of years, I have taken a break from reading time travel romances, but there was something about the blurb of this story that really intrigued me.

Amelie is not your ordinary, everyday time traveller. There are so many strange and mysterious things surrounding Amelie's life (present, past, and 50 years in the past). She can bravely take on every challenge that the 1930s gives her, except the one person who helps guide her into her new world, deliciously headstrong Henri Durand.

Those that know me, know that I hate cliffhangers, but I knew what I was in for going in and because I love this series, I didn't care. I have zero regrets. Having read Parallel/Intersect the previous duet, I thought I was prepared to love this book. This book exceeded my expectations and I loved it even more than the previous. Across Time is the much anticipated story of Sarah/Amelie and Henri and a Prequel to Parallel and Intersect by Elizabeth O’Roark. From the very beginning, the story grabs you and sucks you in! I felt like I was really there in the French countryside and in Paris traveling through time with our heroine as she discovers who she is and who she was always meant to be and finds a love that transcends the boundaries of time.
