This book was very good!!!

I liked the whole idea with the list and i really liked the characters, but in some point they irritated me so much!!!

I don't want to be unfair with this book because it was a really nice reading and very well-written...
But like i said in some point, i wanted to break my e-reader from the anger.... and still, i couldn't put it down!!!

Why so much anger??? Hmmm... Let me take the things from the start...

Annie went to college and for the first tim

I really enjoyed this book, for the most part of it, but the ending ruined it for me. You can't end a book just like that! There were so many unresolved issues i don't even know where to start!!! (I think i'm a little mad..)

From the blurb it seems like a typical NA story: virgin goes to college,

This was a fun New Adult contemporary that I really enjoyed. I read this between blog tours and it was kind of nice to read something without an agenda attached to it. So I really just sat back and let myself enjoy this one.

I loved Annie right off. I've seen and been through the protective parent thing, and so I related to Annie immediately. I think we'd probably find that a lot of people were able to relate to her just as well, as being the victim of an overly protective parent is something man

For every 3 good books I read, I find 1 which I absolutely loathe. 3 guesses on which book it is now...

Look, it started out okay enough. Girl moves into her new college dorm, bumps into Hot Guy 1 on her way, makes friends with her fun, eccentric roommate and crushes on roommate's cousin, Hot Guy 2.

And from then on, it all goes to shit.

I'm not crazy about love triangles, but I will tolerate (even sometimes like it) if it is done well. This (obviously) wasn't.

Before jumping into that, I'd like t

Man, I felt like I just worked for every kiss, every touch, and every glance...holy anticipation, Kate L. Mary. I've never wanted to scream "Just get together already!" at fictional characters so loudly in my life.

Annie has always been protected--so much so that she fights to go to college across the country from her overbearing dad and brothers. Once she gets to Charleston and becomes insta-besties with her roommate Cami, she hopes only fun will follow, creating a list of things she wants to do

I had a really good time with this story. Being along for the ride as Annie finally had a chance to break free and be a normal teenager on the cusp of adulthood was a fun read. The fact that she had a before twenty "bucket list" to play catch up with was entertaining.

Holy sexual frustration, Batman! I can't remember the last time I read a romance in which I so badly wanted the characters to get past their issues and get it on already! This was a great, entertaining read about a girl trying to find her way in college after leading a sheltered life. I love that the characters are flawed and have so many real life issues keeping them apart. I hope the small loose ends are covered when we hear Cami's story in the next book. Literally sat down and read it in one ...more

Big thanks to Lyrical Press and NetGalley for an ARC copy for review.

This was a fun and sexy New Adult series. Was it at times predictable? Sure, but it didn't take away from the story. While there was plenty of romance, it's also about a girl discovering her own path through life and what she truly wants for herself. The main character Annie was a likable girl. She's young and wants independence, but she has the biggest heart and loves her family and friends fiercely. Though the story of her mo

The power of gravity. That’s what I kept thinking of as I read THE LIST by Kate L. Mary. The gravity of love and love’s gravity. The gravity of choices our parents make and how we become tethered to the past.

THE LIST is the story of Annie, a teenager, leaving home for college, away from her father’s misguided need for total control. She finally has freedom. Freedom to get her ears pierced, to put on makeup, dare to look at boys, and m

The List is the first book I've read by the author Kate L Mary. I liked the look of the synopsis, so thought I'd request it on NG, after all I do like a good old new adult romance.

Listing what I didn't like about this book is probably quicker than what I did like. In honesty I had very few issues with it. I liked the writing style. I liked that Annie is naive but the author didn't make her sound like she was 13 which is often the case with these new adult books. The story has good pace, there's

What a cute and endearing concept for a book. Yes, if you’ve been sheltered and are finally on your own, a list seems fitting for a teenager girl in her freshman year of college.

I was completely drawn in from the beginning with this. The only girl in the family with 4 older brothers and a VERY over protective father, Annie chose a college on the other side of the country to get some distance and experience life. Little did she know that her first 6 months in college were going to be jam packed w

When I read the description of this book, I couldn't wait to read it. The story looked like a fun read. I thought, a new adult romantic comedy, YES!!! That is my favorite kind of new adult book. So many on the market now, have really sad stories attached to them. They focus on heavy social issues/ family issues, making them somewhat depressing.

The unfortunate element to this book, was the focus on heavy family issues. There is so much trauma in these characters lives. I didn't expect it and boy,

Ok, I just found another New Adult series to love. I suppose it was predictable but I felt that I was still surprised by a few aspects. The pull and connection these two had was intoxicating. I literally re-read the last chapter or so because I was that sad to see it end. I liked that it was realistic in that others had an impact on their relationship even if they didn't want them to. Cannot wait for more! When a book has you re-reading immediately not because you are confused, but because you w ...more

Fun concept? Yep.

Laugh out loud narrative voice? Definitely.

Smoking hot sex? Abso-freaking-lutely.

The List was a fun read that kept me flipping pages to the very end. I love a good old-fashioned love triangle, and Annie's past adds a unique thread of tension that Kate. L. Mary pulls through the entire story--making it a special spin on an well-loved trope.

The secondary characters were also a ton of fun, and I was super excited to see Cami, Annie's roommate, is the main character of book two. Pr

This was a super cute story. It was all about learning life, the ups the downs, trying new things and falling in love. It also had a great story line with it. This book made me want to keep reading to find out what happened next. Which I did lol. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants a great story. I loved how the author wrote I will definitely be looking for more books from her.

I loved this book. I had never before read this author but she is now one of my must reads. So good so so good. The one sour note for me was Annie's roommate I found her to be obnoxious but other than that it was perfection.

I flew through this awesome, fast read in a matter of hours! This was such a fun, and often heartbreaking story. Annie is a college freshman who missed out on doing a lot of "teen things" growing up due to her overbearing and mentally ill father, who was so paranoid of his daughter getting hurt that he essentially kept her a prisoner in her own home.

When Annie arrives in college across the country, she realizes she only has one year left of

You know how you start a book thinking it's going to be one thing, then you finish and think holy &*^% that was awesomely intense. That was my view on THE LIST. I love books whose premise revolves around a list. Bucket lists. Lists that get the character to participate in things they've never done. This book fulfilled my need and then some.

Wow, what can I say about The List. I enjoyed this so much it’s hard to put into words. But I’ll give it a try.

The characters were all fantastic, very likeable and very relatable. Annie, has lived a very sheltered life, thanks to her extremely protective father. Now she’s off at college and on her own wanting to live her life, her way. She’s strong and cautious as she’s well aware of the dangers out there. Annie is discovering love for the first time and how it wreaks havoc on the emotions. Her

To say that I loved this book is an understatement. I love it when a novel grips me and pulls me in feeling every emotion with the characters. Annie broke my heart over and over. I loved this book of Annie finding out who she is without her overbearing family to protect, guard or hold her hostage.

As Annie goes away to college, she finds a best friend, love, heartbreak and most of all she finds herself. The journey that Annie goes on is beautiful and filled with discovery. You can't help but fall in love with Annie's character along with all the other characters in the story.
