Murder Unearthed seemed to start like any other thriller but boy did it have a special something about that's rather elusive in the novel world let alone the mystery/thriller world. After the introduction to the story and characters it quickly morphs into a story I genuinely couldn't put down and enjoyed from start to finish in a couple of hours. The tale has something incredibly addictive about it and is beautifully crafted and written with some of the most in-depth and fascinating characterisa ...more

This is Book #3 in the Kat and Mouse series by Anita Waller, it can be read as a stand-alone, but you will miss out a little on the back stories and just the joy of reading books 1 and 2.

Doris (Nan) has now moved out of Kat’s into a cottage of her own, but they are still together most of the time and their Private Detective agency, Connection is thriving.

The story revolves around two missing girls, a man who had crashed and died with a shovel, mud and a single women’s boot in his car……two bodies

I am so excited to be reviewing Murder Unearthed today for two reasons. Firstly this is one of my all time favourite series, and secondly, I am one of characters in this book! Thank-you for making one of my dreams come true Anita and I love what you have done with my character!

This is the third instalment in this wonderful series, which just keeps getting better and better with each book.

Heading back to Eyam feels like coming home for me. I can totally see myself living in this sleepy little vil

I've now read the third Kat & Mouse book in the 'trilogy' which I understand is going to go on to become a quadrilogy with a fourth due for release in October.
A driver runs off the road and dies, and DI Tess Marsden suspects that the crash victim may have buried a body of a woman, due to mud on his clothing, on a shovel in the car, and the discovery of one female shoe. Two murder victims are found in seperate locations but are they connected by the same killer?
Tess turns to Connection, the

Kat, Mouse and Doris are back in town and I absolutely enjoyed my time with them.

The book starts right off the bat with the hiding of a murder. With the first sentence of the chapter, I was drawn into the mystery of the story. The way the book starts gave me the feel that I’m in the right place with the right read.

Like the previous two installments of the Kat and Mouse series, Murder Unearthed, too, has the countryside, Agatha Christie feel I always love. Two girls dead on the same nigh

Anita Waller does it again !!!! Another great book, with this being the third in the Kat and Mouse series. If you haven’t read the previous books in the series then this could be read as a stand-alone but I would definitely recommend reading the previous books as you will be missing out on the history of the characters and obviously some brilliant books.

This book centres around two missing girls from the same area and we see the return of DI Tessa Marsden who is in charge of the investigations.

This is the third book in the series which has at its heart a friendship between Kat, Beth (aka mouse) and Doris. They are not only friends but also have a PI agency.
D I Tessa Marsden has become another strong character in the books and someone who the friends have come to respect, support and enjoy the company of and this works both ways.
There are two investigations – the two murders under investigation by D I Marsden and that of a man, Ewan Barker, who asks the Agency to find his long lost son

One of my absolute favourite crime solving combinations are back in their third story! Two girls go missing from the same village on the same night. It's hard for investigating officer DI Tessa Marsden to believe that it is coincidence but that's what it is when all the evidence points to two unrelated murders. Both girls appear to be well loved with no enemies but then a shocking discovery about one of the girls changes the course of the investigation completely. Meanwhile Nan (Doris) is settli ...more

Two young women have gone missing simultaneously from a small sleepy Derbyshire village. A young man has been found killed having crashes his car whilst covered in mud. An older gentleman is looking for his son whom he has never met as his mother disappeared a couple of months before the birth. Kat, Mouse (beth) and Doris have a good relationship with the local police force and occasionally are brought in to cases having come across a clue or oddity by accident. The missing son is more the bread ...more

2 girls go missing on the same night and are subsequently found dead.
Were Orla French and Mandy Williamson killed by the same person? Tessa and Hannah need to find out what has happened to the girls for the sake of the families.
Kat and Mouse are helping Doris to move into her new home, Little Mouse Cottage. They are approached by Ewan Barker to search for his son, is all as it seems? Has Doris found love?
Plenty of questions to be answered in this latest book in the series. I love how there ar

To say I was impatient waiting for book 3 to be sent, is an understatement. I am a big fan of Anita Waller and so thankful to have her books on my Kindle.

I love the chemistry between Kat, Mouse and Doris, and just when I thought this book series couldn't get any better, book 3 hits my kindle and I love it.

Murder Unearthed is full of twists and turns and there was no way I knew who the culprit was and I loved it.

If you like good 'whodunit' stories, then you need the books by Anita Waller.

This series is getting better all the time; Anita Waller is a tremendous writer and her portrayal of both location and character is excellent. We learn more about the personal lives of the principals, and they are all put under pressure in this instalment in their pursuit of missing persons. The connection to police investigations is strengthened here and this enables the storylines to be even more engrossing. A superb read!

Anita Waller has long been an author to watch but with the characters of Kat, Mouse and Nan she has really hit the jackpot in creating relatable characters that just cant wait for the next instalment from. I know one more is planned but I think this is a series that I would read for a long time to come. 5* from me

This is the 3rd outing for Kat, Mouse and Doris. These characters are so well written and come across as very believable, likeable people. This has everything you could want from a murder/mystery storyline. Plenty twists and turns along the way and an ending you will not expect. An easy 5 stars.

Thank you Bloodhound Books for an ARC of this outstanding read from Anita Waller.

This is the third in the Kat, Mouse & Doris "Murder" series and is just as enjoyable as the previous two.
This series is set in breathtakingly beautiful Derbyshire and is a delightful comfortable read.

DI Tessa Marsden and her team investigate and solve the murder of two Castleton girls, unlinked,
two separate deaths, whilst Connection, based in the beautiful plague village of Eyam continue their business as Privat
