Me ha parecido un poco lento pero me ha gustado conocer más a fondo la historia de mi ciudad.

What a fantastic book this was. It handles the civil war in a clear and non patronizing way. Mani, the main character comes alive as do the rest of characters. It grips you from the first page so much that I "rationed" reading towards the end. Five stars.

A pesar de que me ha resultado excesiva la ideología del autor en todas las páginas del libro, reconozco que la historia me ha conmovido.
Desconocía y, seguramente desconozco la mayor parte de las cosas que sucedieron antes, durante y después de la guerra civil, sobre todo, más allá de Barcelona y/o Madrid, algo sobre Zaragoza y Marruecos, digamos, el epicentro. Verdaderamente imprescindible. Maravillosa historia en tiempos en los que de la explosión de libertad inicial se pasa al caos absoluto y la muerte.
Muy buena descripción de la sociedad malagueña de los años 30

Los personajes estereotipados hasta caer en el maniqueísmo, las situaciones ficticias un poco forzadas pero al menos ha sido entretenido y ha servido para imaginarme como pudieron ser los acontecimientos históricos reales
