Another instalove handled quite nicely by Steele. As a novella, their story lacked some of the elements I truly enjoyed in books one and two, but it was still a satisfying romance with a thought out plot.

I went a bit squish for Beckett. His theater geek self was just too adorable, and Alex’s hot-jock presence was the perfect pairing to draw out some of my favorite tropes. This story could standalone without the others very well, but there was still enough influence from the other Cut

This short story tugged at my heartstrings! There was just enough fluff, angst, and heat packed in those pages to satisfy an itch for those things! The character development was there as well, which is something one doesn't get very often in a short story!! Alex's character was full of surprises for me, and I loved it. I'm hoping this author writes more of these two because I really want to see them through to a happy ending!

"We might not be perfect, I thought, but whatever we are, we're together"

It's never easy going against the plans that your parents have made for you, even when those plans make you miserable. Being on the ice and playing hockey has always been fun for Alex, but his father wants Alex to make it his life's career. An oversight on Alex's part gets him temporarily suspended from the team, until he can pull his grade up in his theater class. A class that he completely forgot that he was e
Wow unsuspected love - forced to pass to keep a scholarship & discover choices and a life!

Alex is the hockey star but needs his grades up to keep the scholarship. He has a drama class to pass and his partner the drama theater are in the hole is to help him pass. Alex/Lexi has a bad reputation to over come flirt, love & leave them, star on the ice and definitely not serious about theater. Beckett/Beck serious about his class & has his final all set & gets dumped a week to go a

A very different Jock/Artist story from the previous one I read. Alex's scholarship is in jeopardy from his lack of attendance to a theatre class. Beckett has been getting ready for his final performance for the course when he suddenly finds himself paired with Alex. Alex surprisingly is comfortable in his sexuality, something unexpected from a jock, and he openly flirts with Beckett from the beginning. Beckett is unsure that Alex can act, let alone be serious about getting together for longer t ...more

"Yeah," "me, too"  This is a great short story to read, written with Beckett's pov. It starts great and you get to know both characters but all is not what is seams with Alex. And there maybe trouble ahead with an encounter. I wouldve loved to have had Alex's pov but its still a great book. I loved the ending of this.

Beckett officially meets Alex the star ice hockey player of city U. And wonders why they where both at the theatre alone.

A Short Burst of Heaven

A beautiful little short - sweet, saucy, perfect. Gorgeous characters finding tggeir HEA. With familiar faces from the Cut to the Feeling series popping in, it was like a trip home.

Loved this short story of Beck and Lex. I would have loved more though, seeing their relationship blossom.
