description Whew...this series has been SOOOO good!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Crazy dark, twisted, sexy, violent. I was a tad bit nervous going into this third book. I didn't love the way this author wrapped up her previous duet (The Savage Fall), so it worried me we would be left hanging again. Thankfully, that was not the case here. Everything wasn't tied up with a neat little bow, but I felt satisfied with the way she left things. 👍

The writing in all three books has been phenomenal. They were all well paced. The plot was

Rose/Ellen cried and sobbed all the time! she was abused, used... No backbone what so ever... She didn't even tried to acknowledge that the kid was her son, just so she didn't need to deal with it...
She was always in a state of confusion, lack of sleep and hunger or having sex with a guy that 80% of time treat her like a whore, was offensive and insensitive...

First-class; excellent, this is my thoughts about this amazing series! Lana Sky created a very dark, violent, inhumane world, full of Mafiya and death
It's there where we meet Misha and Ellen (Little Rose) and where we say goodbye to them, and their family in this last book.

ARC received in exchange for an honest review

This book is a dark romance with scenes of explicit sex, mentions of sexual abuse, graphic violence and mentions of physical and psychological abuse that may be unsuitable for some readers. Please take this into consideration before reading.

I: (One) brings us to the end of a brutal war between two powerful armies; the Mafiya and the Winthorps. Each instalment geared us up for a devastating end, with both sides taking huge blows. Unfortunately, I wa

As I mulled over this final book in the War of the Roses series, I couldn't help but think immediately of a super hero cliche: With great power comes great responsibility. This of course comes from Spiderman, and I can easily apply it here.

As Mischa and Ellen become closer, they become stronger. And the mafiya war intensifies, possibly including those close to home. So who do they trust? They turn to each other, and Mischa finally admits why he's so angry and distrustful of Ellen.

"Hell isn't a rose. Hell is love. The agony of blind desire. Trust in the face of inevitable destruction. The acceptance of death to protect the breath of another. "

When I first started this trilogy I was torn. Ellen seemed so ... lacking? That's not that right word but yet it is. As the story progressed she began to bloom. By the close, she had become, in her own right, a force to be reckoned with. In some ways, I truly believe that Mischa was the catalyst for her self discovery. Without his cr

1: (One) War of the Roses, Book 3 by Lana Sky

Ellen (Rose) Winthrop is about to find out that the rules in the game of her life have changed. With more than just her life on the line can she play to win.

Mischa Stepanov has saved Ellen more than once, but can he trust her to save him this time? Can he give her that power?

Ellen has been given information about her past that makes her question her loyalty to both men in her life. One that used her to make himself seem sane and the other that doesn’t

I have to say, out of the three books in this series, this one has edged out to be my favourite. It was more than I could have possibly hoped for. Secrets are revealed and true motivations are shown. I think Ellen comes into her own in this book. She goes from being a sheep sent to slaughter to a wolf willing to take anyone down who gets in her way. And it’s Mischa who helps her see her potential. I love their relationship because so much of it is unspoken. They have learned to communicate with ...more

Just when you think there couldn't possibly be any more deception, secrets, lies, backstabbing, and betrayal in Ellen/Rose and Mischa's lives Ms. Sky proves you wrong.

Oh. My. Goodness!! This third book in the War of Roses series pulled me in and wouldn't let go. I couldn't put it down. I think I was holding my breath most of the time I was reading. With all that Ellen has had to endure her whole life it's really amazing she hasn't given up and just let death claim her before now. That's what I

Mischa Stepanov has brutalized my body in ways I could have never imagined. My face bears his permanent mark, and he made me sever my own ring finger to feed his lie. He’s toyed with me. Mocked me.
But this is the cruelest torture he’s inflicted. His aim isn’t to merely hurt me.
He’s after my soul.

I absolutely loved this book and the very first chapter brought me to tears. I was constantly on my toes to know what was going to happen and honestly(like i have said about Lana's writing for 1000 time

Man, I'm not sure how I feel about the War of Roses trilogy being over, because it's been that good! While I wanted all the answers, and I feel that I got most of them, I sure don't want to say goodbye either. Of course, I have to state for the record that this is Book 3, and the conclusion, so YOU MUST READ BOOKS 1 & 2 FIRST! Seriously though, you'll be so confused if you don't follow it in order because the diabolical Lana Sky wrote layers upon layers of twists! Like there were twists turn ...more

Lana Sky can take me to the depths of the darkest hell and then show me the light of hope. I (One) is about breaking down completely into tiny pieces and then emerging as a whole new person. This mafia romance bathes in blood, betrayal and secrets. And the pure all consuming love comes out of the mess.

I (one ) completes transformation of Ellen aka Little Rose. She is so far from the beaten, bruised and intimidated woman she used to be. Miscah has forced her to face her worst fears and realize h

Yes! This book answered all of the questions that I had while reading the first two books! The author begins this book soon after the end of the second book and she does a great job of developing the next phase of the storyline. Once again, there is a lot that happens in this book. But the focus of this book seems to shift from the battle between Mischa and Ellen to the two of them trying to navigate all of the politics and intrigue in the mafiya. "Lana wrote an outstanding conclusion to the War of Roses series. She left me speechless, what a phenomenal story. I couldn’t stop until I reached the end. The storyline completely absorbed my mind.

Secrets, lies, falsehood and betrayal are back. War is coming, enemies are approaching and it’s time for Mischa and Ellen to become allies and face their enemies. I didn't want Ellen and Mischa story to end!! This is the 3rd book of the series War of the Roses by Lana Sky. I highly recommend you read XV and VII if you haven't yet. Ellen is still coming into her role. Mischa is still learning to trust. This story brings out more twisted truths buried beneath lies. Every character has their role and place in the story. First off, this is book three in the War of Roses series. This is not a standalone read as the story of Mischa and Ellen continues in this book. What a continuation it is. I loved reading how Ellen continues to get stronger in herself and realizes that she was no where near her potential in this world with her husband. Mischa's intentions of breaking Ellen is working as by breaking her, he is also enabling her to restructure and rebuild and be so much more. As Mischa and Ellen's world continues ...more

Whoa! Mischa & Ellen's story winds up in an ever increasingly swift & dizzying swirl of secrets, violence & mafiya intrigue.
This is one ride that revs up to & exceeds warp speed as the reader travels deeper & deeper into the danger & lethal enemies (& allies) that surround them, both Mischa's Mafiya & Ellen's husband Robert Winthrop.

Lana Sky has created an outstanding series. I think it’s one of her best. The final book in War of the Roses, I (One), has wonderfully crafted characters who come alive on the page, is full of twists and turns, and a plot that keeps you on your toes to the very last page!

*Sigh* Let me gather my thoughts. . . This book was chaotic and suspenseful, bloody and painful, shocking and poignantly beautiful. With so much to wrap up in this series, it was a tall order to ask for any author to be able maintain the same level of intensity and emotion through each book, but Ms. Sky was able to do it. With emotionally complex characters, such as Ellen (Rose) and Mischa, there is a possibility that the characters could become flat or the reader could disengage from them emoti ...more

I read this, again, in one sitting. It was worth it. I talked a lot about the series in my previous reviews, but I’m going to keep it short in this one.

I thought it was a really good conclusion to one of my favourite series. And, throughout the series leading up to I, there was a lot of justification of character changes and development, something I thought was lacking in the savage fall duet. Mischa and Ellen change organically, it doesn’t seem forced. Also, I really liked the introduction and

The best description I can give if this book is chaos.... Just when you think you have everything figured out you get slapped in the face with another truth.
