Well, well, well, what a tangled web we weave......

Go in as blind as you can! That's the best advice I can give for those who want to read this book. I requested this book simply because I loved Behind Her Eyes by Pinborough. I had no idea what the book was going to be about.

The basic gist from the synopsis is that beautiful Marcie Maddox knows what it is like to be the second wife, who now has a secure place in their social circle. But when their friend, William, a recent widower brings home a

WTH! My mind is spinning so hard! Did somebody hit me with a brick or a flower pot hit me in the head as I was passing through? Why I am seeing stars and “ wishing on a star” plays in my head, I don’t listen to KPop and BTS (Taking it back ! I loved their collaboration with Halsey) This is a freaking train ride that you cannot climb out or you don’t want to! If you cannot handle all those twists, surprises, more twists (oh no I don’t want to vomit but my stomach really churns! So much UTURNS and ...more

Get ready for some juicy juju here. Staid Savannah high society isn’t an easy place to live for Marcie, the young second wife of a successful attorney. Enter the boss’s even younger, more beautiful and glamorous second wife who threatens to topple Marcie from her hard won place amid the southern blue bloods. Lies, secrets, and betrayals abound. This is highly entertaining and guano crazy.

This is the first of this year's advance novels from this year's Harrogate, possibly annoyingly for any of the others I'm not sure what can top this.

This was my short sharp tweet review.

Deliciously dark, sexy as hell, eternally addictive and a pitch perfect pay off. Also creepy and a *tiny* bit insane.

There you go. You'll want this one. Trust me.

Full review next year for release.
This sounds delightfully dramatic and devious!

Also ready to see how Sarah Pinborough does on her own as I have only read collaborations from her. Thank you so much to the publisher, William Morrow Books, for providing me with an early copy!

    “She had no choice.”

When the woman who wrote your favorite thriller comes out with a new book, you drop everything you're doing and read that book!
Just like in Sarah Pinborough’s past novels, the past will come back to bite the characters in her upcoming novel - Dead To Her.

The book starts with all the basicness of a domestic thriller. In the meantime, there’s this mystery surrounding a certain character - among many other strange goings-on - that kept me intrigued until the unexpected,

Nothing cheers up this little bookworm, quite like seeing Sarah Pinborough has a new book out! Sarah is a talented write who hasNEVERlet me down, with her books which cover various genre’s. Before I read Dead To Her, my favourite novel of hers would probably have been a close tie betweenBefore Her Eyes(obviously) and13 Minutes. With 13 Minutes probably stealing the thunder!

The wealthy folk of Savannah, Georgia are pleasantly scandalised when the wealthiest of them, sixty-something recent widower William Radford IV, returns from London with a new wife. Keisha is young, gorgeous, vibrant, and black. Marcie, formerly the designated “beautiful young second wife“ of their circle, is less than delighted to have her position usurped by this dazzling newcomer.

Unpleasant rich men and their trophy wives is not necessarily my favourite milieu to read about, but nevertheless

5 plus stars! Loved the magic Pinborough brought back in this book, from BEHIND HER EYES! Also thought it was well written and fun to read, with lots of twists! Unputdownable! One of my top reads this year! Pinborough is an automatic read for me!

Set in Savannah’s stifling heat, Dead to Her is steeped in old South traditions and barely hidden prejudices. Told in multiple perspectives, this novel takes the reader on a journey through a landscape of dark desires, seduction, and subterfuge with a sprinkling of bad juju and voodoo. The characters are interesting and flawed. The plot twists and turns; nothing is as it seems. An exciting thriller, with a creative ending and a stunning epilogue that keeps you guessing!

Like so many others I adored Behind Her Eyes by Sarah Pinborough. I couldn't wait to get my hands on Sarah's latest, Dead to Her. I loved the idea of this book and I loved the cover. But I will say this didn't meet the bar set by Behind Her Eyes. Either way this was a great book set in Savannah Georgia.
Very descriptive and fun with a touch of super natural elements. I would definetely recommend this to

As the younger second wife of a successful wealthy man, Marcie knows how ruthless you have to be to get there, but with a newer, younger second wife entering her social circle, one who seems to have a spark with Marcie's husband, she will have to decide how ruthless she is willing to be to stay there.

I went into this book with an incorrect idea of what it would be about. I loved The Last Mrs. Parrish for having characters you root for but hate, bad guys seeming to win, and lots of descriptions
Thanks to NetGalley for providing a digital advance reading copy in exchange for an honest review. I read Sarah Pinborough's last book and it was really interesting and surprising, so I was happy to give this one a go. Unfortunately, this title has a cast of truly awful characters.

Whereas, in the previous novel, the main character was sympathetic, in this book, the character whose POV we most often see (Marcie) is a shallow grifter, a second trophy wife who landed her wealthy husband while she

Well, this is a tale of the unexpected, a danse macabre, bad juju, voodoo, black magical, diabolical, twisty, and mysterious, superstitious journey into the dizzy heights of Savannah society. Marcie is trailer trash and doing her level best to hide though you can’t help your roots and she marries up. Very up. Jason Maddox is a lawyer and a wealthy member of the Savannah social scene, he’s not exactly blue blood but he’s upwardly mobile. Jason’s partner, a recent widower William Radford IV ...more

I really enjoyed this book. After the first few chapters, which took me a couple days to get through, I absolutely devoured this book. I didn't really know what to expect when I started this book but based on the author, I was expecting a mystery. However, after the first few chapters, I was convinced it was more of a women's fiction book. Oh man, was I wrong! I'm giving it 4 stars because of the slow start but once

Sarah Pinborough does it again with her newest mesmerizing psychological thriller!

Keisha, a young beatiful woman from London, marries a much older William after his second wife dies. Set in the historical city of Savannah, Georgia, Keisha must adjust to this new lifestyle among prominent wealthy families. She crosses paths with Marcie who is also young and also a second wife. Both young women are from poor families and have a lot in common, and Marcie immediately feels threatened by her new

Thanks to NetGalley for providing a digital advance reading copy in exchange for an honest review. I have ready all of Sarah Pinborough’s books and found Dead To Her to be a very quick read. It was suspenseful and filled with twists and turns.

Unlike her previous novels, I found the main characters to be unsympathetic. Her two primary characters are Marcie and Keisha – both young trophy wives – second wives - who find themselves unhappy in their life of Southern Belle’s. Naturally, they

I was lucky to get an advanced reading copy from Edelweiss - thank you!

I've been hooked on Sarah Pinborough since BEHIND HER EYES, and I love how she never tells the same story twice. This book is layered and lush, set in a dark, hot South filled with secrets. Marcie is a second wife, married to high-powered exec Jason. She knows her place in society - she'll never be as beloved as Jason's first wife, Jacqui, but she is content with her role as a kept wife in a fancy house. Until Keisha comes

Holy twists, Batman. I started this novel yesterday and had to burn through more than half of it today because I just needed to get to the conclusion. Yes, the characters are unlikable, but when everyone is scheming to get ahead in elite society in the South, it's fun to watch them flail and fight. Dark backgrounds clash with current conflicts when William brings his beautiful, young, British bride Keisha home to celebrate their marriage. Having followed Pinborough's career for years, I love ...more

When young and wild Keisha shows up married to their social circles richest (and oldest) man, Marcie is instantly jealous and paranoid. She is used to to being the young one in the group. And it’s not helping that her husband is constantly flirting with Keisha and receiving sudden midnight calls and texts. That’s what the book starts out as. A paranoid wife thinking she might lose her husband to this new woman. But what ends up happening is very typical of this author. She takes you on a ride ...more

And the moral of this story is {}.

Keisha, William, Jason, Marcie, and... Soulless people lacking in any goodness flooded the pages of this twisted tale about straight up greed. Until the turn of the last page, it was a heated contest as to who was the most sinister of this wicked cast. 'Dead To Her' threw out all thoughts of love, kindness, and compassion, only to be replaced by corruption, lies, and a little touch of Voodoo.

I absolutely loved Behind Her Eyes, so when I saw a new release by Sarah Pinborouh I jumped at the opportunity to read and review it. I gave this book my complete attention and read it cover to cover. Sadly, I have to say that I’m completely underwhelmed. The cover and description don’t seem to match the story. The creole/voodoo elements don’t feel like they make sense to the story, and the characters are extremely hard to follow. Overall, I just didn’t care about these characters. I somewhat ...more

Dead To Her by Sarah Pinborough is a psychological thriller that should be at the top of your TBR pile, if you haven’t already devoured it.

It’s filled with an array of mesmerizing characters from the wealthy, sexy, elite crowd in Savannah, Georgia. Love some, hate others - you want to know them all!

It’s got steamy seductive sex, a murder or two, beautiful wives (some of them second wives) with deep insecurities, powerful men with fragile egos and a fascinating bit of Southern and African voodoo

What begins as a reasonable mystery about the relationships between several couples in Savanna, upended when the most powerful of the group brings home his new bride. Keisha doesn’t fit in with the others, she is young, British and Black.

This begins the stirring of a pot full of intrigue, secrets and divided loyalties. The problem is that It devolves into a nonsensical discussion of voodoo, superstition and absurd plots. I don’t know who this would appeal to, certainly not any of my readers. I

I would bump it to a 4.5. The only thing keeping it from being 5/5 is that the transition from the first half of the book to the last half of the book was pretty abrupt for me. It was all lies, paranoia, seduction, cheating the first half and then darker voodoo vibes at the end. Do not get me wrong! I liked it. Perhaps I just had to take too many breaks in reading and that's why it felt that way. I liked "Behind Her Eyes" and I liked this one as well.

This book had a promising start, but quickly began to drag and became extremely repetitive. It wasn’t until over the halfway point that the story became more interesting and the pace quickened.
