Just like every other book in this series, or at least the last few, I was just in shock when I finished this latest. There were so many darn secrets revealed, and Callie is just really in a different place at the end of this one. And she picks up such a fascinating new character along the way; he’s probably one of my new favorites. But we will see how things play out. This far in the multiverse, I can’t say much without giving away so many spoilers for new readers, but I will say this is just ...more

Callie is back, picking up where she left off in Black Sheep. Back at Castle Dracula with her Godfather, Samael. Yes, that Samael. The Fallen Angel/Demon Samael.

Her goal, as last described in book 6 is to kill Dracula. Ambitious goal. But, then, Callie is an ambitious kinda gal. But, this is Callie, so of course things start going wrong almost from the jump. I can't tell you how, or what, or even with whom because that would be giving things away. And I don't do spoilers. Suffice it to say,

Hard to say anything about this book without spoiling it ....but it did come from a different angle. Still pure awesome. Still a fun roller coaster ride. Get your hands on everything with this man's name on it.

This was another great installment to another great series!
Shayne probably made me laugh harder with the witty banter between Callie and her new friend and sidekick, than I have with any of his other books!
As the battle for intelligence against the greatest evil organization ever seen in literature wages on, Shayne manages to keep the reader laughing and turning pages even during some of the darkest scenes that could happen to a person.

Godless, book 7 in the Feathers and Fire series picks up immediately after the end of book 6. Silvers use of snarky wit can make you ugly snort/laugh, all the while hiding depths of wisdom that the main character has dropped on her. New characters are added to the Templeverse and they are well developed and vital for the storyline. Shayne Silvers is the Bob Ross of urban fantasy; he is painting 3 connected series into a landscape of beauty. I can’t wait for the next book.

Just finished the ARC of Godless, and let me say... You NEED this READ! On top of the character defining moments, jaw-dropping revelations and pivotal scenes, you will have so many hilarious one-liners and insults to add your arsenal it will be one overflowing snark-tank. Callie, simply put, is the champion of this world. Shayne Silvers has outdone himself with this book. I can't wait to find out what happens next!

Callie makes the trip to castle dracula to remove the vampire as head of the sanguine council. Betrayal leaves her fighting for her life as the beast of the castle remembers her bloodline. A new ally comes with no memory and a twist of fate. This is a great series with a kick ass heroine. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

So many little secrets in this one. New reveals and plenty more questions. Callie is a woman with a cause, and she certainly causes some trouble. Dracula has no idea that what has entered the castle isn't just a girl but a big as$ kickin coming his way. Read on to see what I mean.

It grabs you and won't let you go. Many one-liners that get you laughing. The twists and turns and wow moments. This is my favorite yet. Callie is the bomb!

All that fuss and not even a bullwhip or Double Jump out of it, 2 stars.

Such rookie mistakes here, storming Dracula's Castle but leaving your Alucard behind, not a proper whip in sight (severed acid frog tongues don't count), and even managing to botch a silver-plattered example of Chekhov's Shotgun. Yet the worst disappointment comes not from what was, but what wasn't. Years of cautious suspicion constantly in motion, waiting for any hint of a sign towards yay or nay, and yet when we finally

I think I like this one the best of all the Feathers and Fire books so far. The plot was good, and there were not too many unexpected shifts of scene. Even the opening deception was nicely explained. There is plenty of snark, though most of it is just Callie talking to herself.

Callie thought, as we all did that Dracula had died ‘way back, at the end of Bram Stoker’s book by the same name. She also thought that Castle Dracula had been burned in the end (although I don’t remember that from the

Stop what you are doing and read this now!

When we last left our all powerful super female person of the century, Callie Penrose, she has just been a tad disappointed in longtime friends and mentors. She had just found out some really odd news about creatures whom her parents trusted most. AND, she was off to a really unusual adventure.

Well, this picks up about two minutes later. (Almost like we could have had one nice long book but out favorite author had to torture us. Just like his

I have been waiting for this book ever since the end of "Black Sheep" because we were left with so many questions and FEELS. This book takes place immediately after the events of that book. Callie and Samael set forth to destroy the original Dracula. Nothing went the way I thought it would except for how awesomely Callie kicks ass! There are some really impressive plot twists, as well as revelations about Callie and her past that make this book one that needs to be devoured voraciously because ...more

A Multi-Layered Blood Cake of Emotions & Conflict, Skewered with Bone & Magic

Callie battles with enemies known and unknown, while wrestling with her own inner demons (also known and unknown).

Her moments of internal reflection go slow - not because they are irrelevant or unimportant, but because I cannot read as fast as the maelstrom of thoughts rip through Callie's mind.

Meanwhile, each maelstrom is book-ended by mystic combat, new friendships, and enough random references to make your

There are few authors that will pull every emotion from you in a single story. Shayne Silvers in Godless does just that. You will laugh like a loon, cry, feel empathetic, be on the edge of your seat from the non-stop suspense and laugh again. Callie is one of my favorite characters. She is strong in her loyalty, deep with her feelings, and an amazing fighter, and not just with her magic. Reading Godless will give you a rush like you've never had before. The story continues almost immediately ...more

Amazing! Definitely recommend the series

Finally! I have been waiting to read this book since I started the series and as soon as it was release on kindle unlimited it was quickly downloaded and I didn't even turn back to any other series I have been reading to fill this void while I waited for this book to release. The plot twist alone had me going back and forth and re-reading passages to make sure I didn't miss a clue or a hint but no I basically found out as Callie found out.

Godless is another mind blowing adventure spun by the master writer Shayne Silvers! It picks up when Callie goes through the portal to take Dracula on. But is Dracula who you think it is? Can she trust the Demon that’s leading her on this mission? Are people who they appear to be? With all of Shayne books you will be captivated from the beginning and left drooling for more!!! It has so many twists, it answers so many questions but leaves you with many new ones as well. I loved it! Well done ...more

Shayne Slivers is well ahead of the pack!

I wish I was constantly in awe of Shayne Slivers because that would mean he writes as fast as I read! Unfortunately I have to wait (a very reasonable time indeed) to be amazed again. Every book builds on the last, rising precariously higher than I thought possible. If you’re looking for an world of monsters who love a good laugh as much as a bloodbath then go ahead and take the plunge. Jump right in, waters fine. Shayne will teach you to swim. Until he

She’s more than just a pretty face and a sinister in mind, she’s here to kick ass in kind! This book was absolutely fantastic I laughed out loud more than any of the other books and that is saying a lot!!! This magical carpet ride of twist and turns completely blew me away! What an incredible spin on the Dracula story, if you think you’ve heard it all, you haven’t! Everyone needs a kick ass sidekick or at least one that can high-five like Xylo! With danger lurking around every corner, you will ...more

“Callie Penrose is back to murder vampires and chew bubblegum.” Glory Hallelujah, Shayne Silvers is back with a new book in his Feathers and Fire series. Godless (Book 7) is as fantastic as anticipated. I spent years thinking nobody could outdo Jim Butcher, Bu he’s gets left in the dust by Silvers. This stuff is simply superb in every way that counts. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises. The book ...more

Godless will leave you reeling. Callie and her new godfather are on the way to pay Dracula a neighborly visit (aka... She's skipping and swinging her bat singing, "Someone's gonna get it!") . You think you know Dracula's story? If you haven't met Shayne Silvers yet, let me introduce you to the man that will turn your world upside down with the unexpected and awesome twists to your favorite myths, fantasy stories, and legends! If you are already a Silvers fan, then buckle up, buttercup! You're ...more

This one was a whirlwind! Godless picks up where Black Sheep left off.

There are some interesting new characters added (hopefully some of which will stay), and many answers to the questions behind the motivations of these characters. Definitely at least one shocking revelation, continuing from Black Sheep, which I'm so glad was dropped! Now THAT makes sense.

If you've gotten this far in the Feathers and Fire series, I'm not sure why you're waiting. Get this book and find some answers you've been

Shayne has hit another home run. This new installment is set in the belly of a Beast. Callie finds herself in another bind, and she will have to dig down deep just survive. The twists, turns, ups, and downs will have you full of adrenaline. I loved how Shayne had his own take on Dracula and how he maintained his power. The new characters you meet (good and bad) are well written and could be stars on their own, but Callie Penrose will not be out shined.

Callie Penrose is on her way to take out her first Master, none other than the infamous Dracula. However, when she is betrayed within moments of entering Dracula's castle, she finds herself pressed into a deadly game, without access to her powers. Now, with only the help of a new sidekick, she must navigate the labyrinth of Drac's castle, all in the hopes of regaining her powers for one final showdown. This book was full of twists and turns, leaving me unsure of who to trust, and eager to turn ...more

Grammar always wins the war

I think that's one of my favorite lines from Godless. Callie Penrose really comes into her own in this book. She is fierce and fabulous and funny as hell. Shayne Silvers knows what his readers wants and continues to deliver. New characters and old meet and blend seamlessly. One-liners are spaced out appropriately and blended with some flipping awesome extended metaphors. Well worth the wait and the read.
