Gideon Maynard is football royalty. Generations of his family have played the game, owned the teams, run the leagues . . . and so it’s no surprise that Gideon is the starting quarterback and star player for the Richmond Rebels. But underneath his aloof yet drool-worthy exterior, he’s nursing a bruised and skittish heart.
Sarah Jenkins swore off dating athletes years ago. She’s completely committed to her career in politics and public relations and to life as a single woman, and that’s the way she likes it, thank you very much.
When the two meet through friends, the attraction is instant and undeniable, but both Gideon and Sarah are smart enough to know that a relationship isn’t in the cards for them. Slowly, though, they find a way to friendship . . . and eventually, to something even deeper.
But just as playing football takes more than talent and hard work, a lasting love requires more than steamy nights and passionate kisses. Forever means believing in scary ideas like trust and forgiveness.
Is a happily-ever-after possible for two hurting, broken souls who are willing to risk it all for a love that won’t end?

This book. This book was fun and engaging and lovely and made me cry my eyes out. I loved it!! I loved watching Gideon blossom both personally and professionally. And Sarah, with her heart of gold but entrenched fear of commitment, Sarah is amazing and I love her. All in all, a great book!!
Two single beautiful people with so much to offer but afraid of the leap. Football is his everything and hers is politics. When the two meet they become friends but the connection is electric. Soon they find themselves giving in just to scratch the itch you see. But when feelings are involved things get complicated and they have to make a choice.

This is the 6th book in a series, but can definitely be read as a standalone story. If you enjoy romance, realistically flawed characters, and a nice HEA - this is the book for you!
While the characters are familiar to me from the previous books, meeting them fresh isn't necessarily a bad thing. I have some particularly strong baggage around some of the characters, who I still want to throttle, but I still liked "catching up" with everyone again, from a different perspective. This story is about Gideon and Sarah. Gideon is the QB of the football team we've heard about in previous books. He's a bit of a loner and manages to remove himself from most team activities except where it counts. As a team, they're all good, but are aiming to be great.
Sarah is a women in transition. She's reassessing her path in life when she meets up with some of the Keeping Score gang. They hook her up with some contacts on the west coast and she ends up relocating. Not before the event that tips her life slightly out of balance, though. At an engagement party for mutual friends, she meets Gideon, the silent hottie. One thing leads to another and, much to both their surprise, they end up in a "no-strings" hookup situation. They are both clear about not wanting more but... you know what ends up happening.
Does it take a while? Of course! These two fight against this natural relationship they slowly creep towards, no matter how much everyone around them can see the changes. I love that it isn't just one or the other in this case, though, and they almost team up to sabotage their collective happiness. In the end, however, we get some really good HEA (even for the tree!) and I put the book down with a smile on my face. These books are such a joy to read that I will read them all until there are no more left!
Every time I start to read one of Ms. Kandle’s stories, I have to be sure there’s nothing else that will need my attention because from the beginning my sole focus is going to be that story. “Sway” is no different. You are drawn into the lives of Gideon Maynard and Sarah Jenkins and become so immersed in their story that you will hardly be aware of your surroundings. Yes, it is that good! They start out as reluctant friends who just haven’t figured out they are meant to be together. It’s quite a journey, with some bumps and a wrong turn or two, but just like most journeys, it’s well worth the trip. I strongly recommend you make the time to read this very engrossing tale. If you’ve been reading the other books in the series, you’ll enjoy getting to visit with some of the characters from those stories. But even if you haven’t, this love story stands on its own and will keep you involved and entertained from start to finish.
Sarah and Gideon have chemistry from the very beginning. They agree to be just friends as neither of them are ready for a relationship, but you can't help who you fall in love with and they eventually have to admit their feelings. There are a lot of deep emotions in this book, family issues, past loves, hidden hurts, but in the end it is a romance with a HEA
I enjoyed Gideon's and Sarah's story. Both had baggage that they were dealing with and tried to avoid falling in love. But the heart wants what it wants and and no matter how they fought it, they lost but became loves winners.
Did I love this book.....no! But I did enjoy it. I felt that many conversations dragged when they shouldn't have. However! The friendship evolution of the characters felt very natural and not forced. So did I enjoy this book, 100%!
This story got my attention. I liked it, it is an entertaining story. I received this book as an advanced reader copy from book sprout for my honest review.
Gideon, the king of leave me be, meets the woman who threatens to blow his privacy fort out of the water.
Sarah has a no dating athletic rule, meeting Gideon makes her reconsider that rule.
Gideon and Sarah are the latest installment in the Keeping Score series and what a return it is. They both find themselves in the minority of quickly coupling friends. Neither is happy in their lives overall and want to make changes.
After a quick, no string attached, hook up things get weird for Gideon. Can Sarah help him realize they can have a valid friendship without all the weirdness and demand of a “real relationship”, or can they?
Sway was a good mix of emotions, from friendship to heat and back again. Letting ourselves trust our emotions again after heartbreak is a long road to traverse. Learning to let go and live is one of the greatest things we can do for ourselves.
I voluntarily read and reviewed a copy provided by Booksprout without expectations. Another good read from Tawdra Kandle, I expect nothing less.

I wasn’t surre what to expect and was pleasantly surprised how good this book is.
Gideon Maynard is the quarterback for the Richmond Rebels. He’s complicated and doesn’t say much, a bit aloof, he’s found his farm of solitude. He’s a stand up guy.
Sarah Jenkins is focused on her career and bringing single. That doesn’t stop her from enticing Gideon to a friendship of convenience.
I liked that this spans the time it takes for them to move into a real relationship.

I really like how books by Tawdra Kandle are always about REAL people! She makes me feel all of the emotion and insecurities as well as the bonds that form with a friendship-only to long-lasting love experience!! Ms. Kandle has a true gift in that area and the story about Gideon and Sarah is an excellent example of that. I have loved every single book in this series and it was great to catch-up with the couples from the previous books!

Love reading Sarah and Gideon’s story. Gideon is the quarterback of the Richmond Rebels. Sarah is focus on her career. They met through friends and the attraction was off the chart. Due to their past, they are skittish. Will they ever get over it and truly be together?

A great addition to the series. Great story line that flows smoothly and holds the readers attention. Strong, well developed characters that have great chemistry. You'll be feeling all the feels as you read through the story. An enjoyable read.

Very good introspection by quarterback Gideon and charity worker Sarah. Gideon is from a legacy football family so in his mind football is everything . There had been a former relationship that had gone bad so another reason to stay single. He was kind of reclusive hating parties and being cranky . Sarah was honest , real . Delightful heroine who did not back down to Gideon. Took them a long time to move beyond friendship -fun read
I wasn't expecting this 6th book in the Keeping Score series. But I AM SO GLAD the author chose to write it. Tawdra Kandle knows just how much emotion we can handle in one book and she puts it ALL in there for us. I wanted to hate on Gideon so much, but then Sarah had her moments too. This series is best read in order, but they are so well done that you can read just this story and still get as much, if not more from them. All the feels for this couple, and I can't wait to read what's next.
I enjoyed this book from beginning to end. It was great having characters that are well developed and engaging and have plenty of chemistry. The flow of the storyline was steady and smooth.

Reluctant friends, almost instant feelings and a slow road to discovering their feelings. Gideon and Sarah's story is good, with a few bumps and wrongs turns but so worth it.
