This book is one about the challenges of not living up to your parent's expectations. The main character, Xiomara is a perfect example of what the typical teenager is nowadays. She just wants to be free. She just wants to be loved and appreciated. The poetry in this book is beautifully written and the scenes leave you wanting more. This book is a perfect representation of the YA genre.
