Lola Gabriel loves reading and writing paranormal romances. Growing up in the Pacific Northwest, she has fond memories of retreating to the woods for long hikes. The towering evergreens, natural waterfalls, and soothing rain often set the scenery for her characters' romantic encounters.
*Lola Gabriel was created by a group of friends who all write under the nom de plume. For the sake of simplicity, we use “she” and “I” for Lola’s communication.
Alpha’s Nanny is the fourth book in Lola Gabriel’s Bears of the Wild series, and my feelings towards this one are much the same as my feelings towards the other books in the series. I had hoped after enjoying the third book a bit more that this one would hook me completely, but it was on par with the first two books.
If you’re looking for a quick read, this is perfect. However, if you’re looking for a book with a lot of depth this is not the book for you. It is quick and easy to power through, it’s an interesting story, but it never goes as deep as it could.
However, if you’ve enjoyed the rest of the series, you’re sure to enjoy this one.
Ash is a single father and alpha of his clan, he's pretty busy and he's not really looking for love. When his Nanny leaves he's desperate to find a new nanny who take of his daughter. Easton is human and new in town and when the nanny job for the little Penople drops in her lap, she is glad to finally be able to earn some money, there's something special about Ash, but she can't really put her finger on it. Fun read and a sweet romance.

She won't just be His Human MATE! I was granted an ARC of Lola Gabriel's "Alpha's Nanny: Bears of the Wild" via B00|{$P®0UT. I recommend this book to others based upon its own recommendations. All opinions expressed within this review are uniquely my own & freely given! Until next time... Happy Reading!
This is an OK shifter romance, and the couple is likable -- but the story was too short to have as much character development as I like. The author gave a little backstory on Ash and Easton, but not enough for me to really connect with them. As is typical in shifter romances, this story features instalove. It does have sex scenes, but they are not overly explicit.
Easton and Ash were both likable, but Ash didn't always act much like an alpha -- he even seemed a bit weak at times, especially when he didn't stand up to the other shifters who didn't like his relationship with Easton.
One other thing, and this is just a pet peeve of mine -- but bears do not live in "packs". Bears live in "clans", and wolves live in "packs". That is wrong all thru this series.
Overall, this one gets 3.5 stars from me, rounded down to 3 stars. If it had more character development, it probably would have gotten a higher rating. I read all the books in the series, since they are free in Kindle Unlimited. I would not have read them if I had to pay for them.
My rating system is below. 1 star -- Hated it, or did not finish. I usually only give this rating if some of the content is truly objectionable to me, like if one of the main characters does something really awful, and gets away with it. 2 stars -- Didn't like it. This rating usually means that I thought the writing wasn't very good, the editing was terrible, I didn't like the characters, or it had other major flaws. 3 stars -- I liked it, but had some minor issues with it. This rating means that there were minor editing issues, the story needed more character development, it was just too unrealistic, or had some other fairly minor issue. The majority of books I read get this rating – I do not consider it a bad rating. 4 stars -- I liked it a lot. This is a high rating for me, and I rarely give a higher one. 5 stars -- I loved it, and will probably read it again. Very few books are good enough to get this rating from me. The ones that do are usually classics.
Lola Gabriel does not dissapoint with "The Nanny's Alpha", another installment in her "Brothers of the Wild" series. Ms. Gabriel delivers well-written stories with wonderful characters that grab your attention quickly and has you hoping that true love always comes out on top. There is a great combination of action, drama, and romance, even some witchcraft thrown in. No HEA, just some steam.
Easton has just moved to Sitka, Alaska and the only person she knows is her bestie, Hannah. Easton is looking for a job, maybe as a nanny, after all, she has experience with children.
Ash loves his 2-yr old daughter very much and very particular about who he leaves her with. Then his nanny bails on him at the last minute, leaving him high and dry. To the rescue, Hannah, the barista and part of his pack, suggests her friend who is desperately looking for a job and was a nanny for "the rich and famous" in California. Desperate, Ash agrees to meet her. Immediately!
Thus starts the story. It is a sweet romance with strong characters that you will fall in love with. There are even the scene stealers: Pen the 2-yr old and Pickles the cat.
This story could have had a little more "body" in a few places, but still earns 4 stars for being a good, enjoyable and entertaining story.

This is an amazing story that will draw you in from the first page to the last one. The chemistry between them is off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Ash is a dragon shifter and a single dad to a 2 year old daughter Penelope ( Pen ) he’s in a hurry to get his daughter to the nanny at the coffee shop and when he arrives she wasn’t there, the barista noticed that Ash was practically pulling his hair out so she took Pen to go and have a look at the coffee beans so Ash called the nanny but she said that she couldn’t make it then she quit what was Ash going to do now. He looked at the barista what was her name again that’s it Hannah and Hannah tells her alpha Ash that she knows someone who can look after Pen but she is human so Ash had no choice. When Ash got home from work they put Pen to bed then they had a chat and some wine Easton is a really nice girl for a human or maybe he just thinks that because he hasn’t talked to a woman in a long time, she makes him laugh and he doesn’t feel lonely at all with Easton around. That’s all I’m going to give you guys but there is so much more to this story, it’s a fantastic read and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.
So this in the fourth in the series, and it was great! Ash was exactly what you would expect from an alpha. The strong personality, the protectiveness he showed and the capability to lead made him a great main character. Add in being a single father, it just worked. But the soft and vulnerable side he showed was what made you fall in love with him. Easton, even though she was young, was a strong independent and mature woman. Their story was a romance, but it also brought back the importance of family and pack. Why I had originally enjoyed the series. Shifters, witches and humans, combined with a twist I did not see coming. I was disappointed in book 3, this made up for it. It just reminded me how much I appreciate Ms. Gabriel's talent to engulf you in a story you will not be able to put down. Loved it!

Ash is the Alpha Bear shifter, widowed with a little girl Pen (Penelope) under two who has just lost his nanny on a day when he has a lot of important meetings. A female from his pack tells him she knows someone who could watch her... But she is human, new to town , really needs a job and knows nothing of shifters. Really needing help he meets her within minutes hires her. Later he will discover they have imprinted... She is his mate. Then Pen is kidnapped, Easton is attacked and is not going to make it . His friendly witch/nurse tell him they can change her or as a human she won't make it, even if she lived she would not be the same and he must make the choice and fast. What would she want? How can it be his choice? He didn't even know it was possible till they told him. What should he do? This is a wonderful, funny story of three people who really need each and the family they could become.

Another great book from the very talented Lola Gabriel her books are always character driven and they engage you from the very first page and this latest offering is no different, You live the story with the characters and cross your fingers that they will get their HEA
This is Ash and Easton's story. Easton has recently moves to Sitka Alaska and the only person she knows is her best friend Hannah she is desperately looking for work preferably as a nanny. Ash has a two year old daughter that he loves and is very protective of he doesn't let just anyone look after her when his nanny bales he is left with no one to help care for her Hannah a member of his pack suggests Easton her best friend who is a nanny looking for work. So begins a romance that is sweet and great fun. Will they finally end up as a family You will have to read to see
A well written shapeshifter read. Ash is a single father with a two year old, who needs a nanny. Easton has moved from LA to start over in Alaska and is looking for a job as a nanny. Her friend sets her up with Ash and the sparks fly right from the beginning. There is only one problem Easton is human and As is a alpha bear shifter, and the two don't mix. Things start to happen to Easton and Ash will stop at nothing to proctect her and he realizes that she is his mate. What will the pack think about this? Will they get their happily ever after? A great read. The story was well, written, likeable characters, and great chemistry.

Ash is not only the Alpha to his sloth in Alaska but also single father to his two year old daughter. If anyone has a plate that over flows, that would be him. Easton just moved to Sitka, Alaska and needs a job. Between Fate and little push from Lola Gabriel we have the Alpha and the Alpha's Nanny. If you've read any of her previous books, then you know Lola Gabriel has a way of letting Fate take the lime light and bringing couples together. Of course nothing comes easy, there's always a bit of angst involved, but working through it, we get our happy ending. This is one of those that just leave you feeling good when you need a bit of ahhhh and a warm glow.

This book has all the hallmarks of a good romance - drama, romantic interludes, family etc. The cliche's too - the Boss falling for the nanny and vice versa. The community, or at least elements of it, against the match of a shifter and a human and the secrecy. Easton is a human who fills in as the nanny for Penelope at a moment's notice for Ash, the Daddy with problems. This, of course, starts the whole process into motion and we have a story! I love the characters and the scenarios and the fact that ihere is little or no actual violence - it is only implied in the way things are described, which is refreshing!! All in all a good read an I recommend it

I love Lola Gabriel shifter stories. Makes me want to be furry! This book has it all, a gorgeous cat (not a shifter, just a stealer of cuddles is Mr Pickles), an adorable and sweet two year old named Penelope and a big cuddle test bear that just so happens to kiss like a dream - oh and of course a human nanny that instantly falls in love with little Pen, I mean who wouldn't. But not all is as it seems and it's not all rainbows and cupcakes at this tea party paradise. Can Ash manage to get his bears in order before they hurt Mr Pickles, or worse, Penelope and Easton? Like I said I love Lola's shifter books, they keep me amused at o'shit o clock in the night when I can't sleep. I am volunteering to leave a review of this book
Bear clan alpha + human mate = danger. When Ash and Easton meet, they are drawn together. Ash tries to fight it knowing it will cause problems with some members of his clan. As he tries to fight his connection with Easton, he tends to draw her in then push her away. Talk about confusing a poor girl! I loved Easton. She was such a sweetheart and how she interacted with Penelope was wonderful. Pen is a precious little girl and is a real bright spot in the story. There is some steam to be found between these fated mates along with a few twists. Once again the witches found in this series make an appearance and are an integral part of the story. All in all, it was a good quick read.
A young woman moves to Alaska to get away from her old life and because she has a friend in Alaska. What she is unaware of is that most people in the town are shifters, including her friend. When she takes a job as a nanny to a busy single dad things begin to spiral out of control, as her boss, the alpha of the pack imprints with her. As his pack is still very traditional they face a lot of problems before the happy end. A well-written story, entertaining and enjoyable from beginning to end. The child gives the whole story a little extra humour - a nice touch. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Ash is run off his feet single father then his nanny resigns and a friend sends him a new one. Alpha bear shifter Ash is a single father with a two year old daughter Penelope and a very busy life as Alpha of the pack and Mayor of the town. When Sandra his nanny lets him down he is overwhelmed and takes Pen to the local cafe to talk the his friend Hannah. Hannah knows a young woman who has recently moved to the area from California where she was a nanny but as yet had not found employment locally. Ash is enchanted when he meets the human Easton.

I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. I enjoyed this story about Ash and Easton. He's the alpha of his pack and is in dire need of a nanny. So when he stops at the coffee shop, Hannah offers him her friend Easton. But unlike Ash and Hannah, Easton is a human. When they meet there is a connection unlike any other. Ash was married to Rebecca until her death but she wasn't his mate. Easton loves working with Penelope, Ash's two year old. But when since tries to mess up their lives Ash goes into protective mode.

This is a NON-SPOILER REVIEW. Alpha's Nanny by Lola Gabriel reads as stand alone. This entertaining short read gives us a different type of Alpha. Being alpha over a mixed pack is a mixed blessing, so being a male bear alpha that is kinder and gentler is sometimes not a good thing. I really enjoyed Ash and Easton's journey to a relationship. Penelope is a precocious character (as most two-year old's can be!) that adds a sweet dimension to this story. Action packed with sweet and spicy, this is a great anytime read. Lola Gabriel brings these characters to life with strong emotion and humor.

This was a heartbreaking yet heartwarming story about an alpha destined for a human and almost losing his mate because of ancient beliefs and pyschotic people. Ash and Easton have a connection that can't be explained and a special bond that is being threatened. Yet both will stop at nothing to form the family they so clearly were meant to be. Alpha's Nanny was filled with heartache, danger, a close call with death, wit, laughter, passion, and a destined love. Readers will be captivated by this new shifter love story by Lola Gabriel.

Ash can’t seem to resist his nanny as the alpha of the Sitka clan, he doesn’t know if it’s a good idea since she’s a human. His whole world is his little girl Penelope who is two years old. ash has so much going on, he needs a little help. He must hire a nanny out of desperation, he isn’t looking for romance, but it’s showing up on his front door step. Things get a little out of hand when he realizes Easton’s his mate. His clan isn’t happy about this, and he starts to receive threats against his daughter and his mate. He will do anything to protect the two he loves most.

Ash has been let down by his usual nanny however his friend has someone who would be perfect for the job she is new in town only problem is Easton is human where Ash and his daughter Penelope are shifters they are bears. The attraction between Ash and Easton grows into more this puts pressure on Ash who is the alpha of his pack he also needs to show his true self to Easton is she strong enough to accept him as he is and is their love strong enough to weather the storm coming their way from someone despises their relationship. Read this all in one go couldn’t put the book down brilliant read you. Won’t be disappointed
Yup, it's a bear shifter romance about Ash, the clan alpha and his daughter, Penelope. He's been having family watch her but when that falls through one day, another clan member suggests her friend, Easton. Easton in new to the area, and more importantly, she's a human with no clue about shifters but she's great with kids.💓
The connection between Ash and Easton is really interesting and she adores Penelope right off the bat. It's a really good story with just enough angst and intrigue to keep you reading until the very end. 💗🔥💕

Being an alpha of a pack has him busy enough but then he has a two year old daughter. Things happen and he needs a new nanny. Well he ends up with a human. And on top of that she is his mate. He wasn't looking for romance but found it anyway. It would be OK but when you have some of your pack against a human and threatening her and your daughter who do you trust and what do you do? Since he is an alpha he is a strong shifter man to begin with who doesn't like his loved ones messed with. I highly recommend it. I received a review copy and voluntarily review it.
Ash was the alpha bear and had a not quite 2 year old daughter. His nanny quit with no notice and he hired Easton (a human) who turned out to be his mate. Someone was not happy about it and it took awhile to figure out who. The little Pen was darling and the characters were all very likeable. The story was mostly sweet with some hot sex between them once they admitted their feelings. I always like Lola Gabriel's books and this one was no exception

An easy to read, entertaining novel with enough romance to keep you rooting for a HEA. Lola Gabriel has an imagination filled with wonderful shifters, which combined with an obviously romantic heart, means these books are an heart wrenching emotional ride. With superb characters, great storylines, and brilliant interactions, this book is easily worth the four stars I've given.
