Ryu's plans are nearing fruition...but he can't take any joy in this progress. Not now that he knows the identity of the man responsible for all he and his siblings’ pain. Someone far closer than he could have dreamed. The only solace he finds is watching Delilah dance.
Delilah's attraction to Ryu makes no sense, and she would have been happy to ignore it if not for the threats she's received. Threats against her little sister. Threats to hurt her if Delilah isn't able to find out more information on the Horsemen.
Ryu and Delilah don't trust each other--and with good reason--but they can't deny the chemistry that sparks to life every time they touch. As they grow closer and closer, so does the danger to Delilah's sister...and to the Horsemen.

His Tormented Heart is an outstanding addition to the Island of Y's series. I was so excited for Pestilence's book as I wanted to see who would being Ryu down to his knees. I enjoyed his connection with Delilah as she softened his hard and stoic persona.
While I abhor secrets in stories and the inevitable shoe dropping, I feel like Robert did a great job with this story as we not only rooted for Ryu and Delilah but got one step closer to the inevitable finale. I look forward to Death's book! 3.5 stars! ~Ratula
THIS SERIES. THIS COUPLE. THIS ENTIRE WORLD...JUST OMG I love Ryu and Delilah. Their histories are so heartbreaking, but the two of them and their love gives me hope. Just beautiful. This book made me love the other characters more too, and I swear Amarante is going to be the death of me (pun intended)!
I was very pleasantly surprised by how much I liked this book. I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about it because I didn’t have an emotional attachment to Ryu in the first two books. But it grabbed my attention from the beginning and didn’t let go! I went on vacation while reading it, so that’s why it took a little longer to finish than normal. I thought the storyline was very interesting with Delilah being an exotic dancer on the island, the taboo “against the rules” & “hooking up with the boss” aspect of it was pretty hot. Add in the fact that she was being blackmailed (by Intro Tristan) and it was all starting to come together for their end goal of battling Zhao… (aka Ryu & Te’s father and the person responsible for the camp they were tortured in as children) I’m definitely looking forward to Death’s story now… she deserves her happily ever after too and I have a feeling it’ll be with Tristan!

I loved the previous books of this series but this one is just not for me. Most of the time I was irritated with both the characters. Delilah was okay but I was so irritated by her. I hated Rye. Its just that he didn't had much of a character. I was so angry with him for various reasons. Overall he was kind of stupid and irritating. And yeah I hate books where hero is more sexually experienced than the heroine and this book falls in that category. I have a feeling i'm gonna hate the next book even more than this one after meeting Tristan. Literally I loved the first two books but this one was a bore and I can already tell i'm going to hate the next book. I love Amarante and I hate Tristan who are the main characters of the next book. I seriously had good expectations from this book but this book was just okay.

Katee is an auto buy from me because she’s just does sexy and fun so so well and I love her. I didn’t read the other books in this series before, so that’s totally my bad, but I still felt like it stood alone. It was scorching and wild and just what I expect from a Katee Robert book! 4.5ish Stars.
Ok so again I came for porn with this series and this started so simply back with a hot prince and bodyguard and we r now in a life and death game among powerful and dangerous people…. I can’t wait!!
Really enjoyed reading this book as much as the previous four. Really looking forward to reading more in this series. Highly recommend reading. On to the next because I have to know what happens next.
I don’t understand the positive reviews of this book. They had no chemistry, no personalities, and Ryu’s allegedly extensive and deeply rooted PTSD was just magically overcome in 48 hours because he wanted to bang.
Lots of typos and narrative issues in this one for me. Spice was ok, but, honestly, the whole thing felt very rushed. Usually I like the balance of plot and spice Katee Roberts has, but this one just didn't do it for me.
My favorite book of the series so far! I just love Ryu and there was so much good action and spice in this one! I also really enjoy when there is a book this action packed and there is no miscommunication with the mmc and fmc, it starts as betrayal but they become honest and tackle stuff together!
A few bits midway that annoyed me with the rehashing of "I can't tell the truth because XYZ" I get inner dialogue and the arc if a character's growth, but it got too repetitive.
Other than that, another satisfying read in this series.
I enjoyed the continuation of the Horsemen's story but this was not my fav Katee Robert book. I would advise less telling us how much Delilah wants to protect her sister (we get it, really) and at least one more spicy scene. 3🌶️
These books need to be made into a series of movies. I’m surprised it hasn’t happened. I only started reading again in September and I haven’t been able to put this series down. All I can say is WOW
Such a quick read, keeps you intrigued and entertained throughout! Starting to notice a lack of editing though. Many misspelled words, or a strange word where autocorrect must have slipped through.
The book starts right off with Ryu watching Delilah dance after the conclusion of the prior book. Can’t really be read as a stand-alone as the main conflict runs a thread through this whole series. I liked Ryu’s character but it kind of fell flat in expanding on his hacking skills which were extensively talked about in the prior books. Delilah’s storyline was a little silly as all her troubles could have been solved easily if she just talked. Ryu was also quick to forgive which was pretty anticlimactic. Overall a fine book, not inspired to revisit.

✨BOOK REVIEW✨- His Tormented Heart (Twisted Series 5) by Katee Robert
So this one was definitely not my favorite in the series. It felt like a filler book. I didn’t feel any real chemistry between Pestilence aka Ryu and Delilah. I want to read the last book, which follows Death aka Amarante. I felt like the purpose of this book was just to set the stage for the last one.
