I really enjoyed this story. The entire series is fascinating, as is the world that KR has created with her Detyen’s.
One of the biggest things in Science fiction romance that really annoys me is that all too many of them seem to make women’s situation in life so much worse than we have it now, it’s like authors writing about the future see us go from fighting for equality to completely giving up our rights and going back to the middle ages.
Which is another reason I LOVE Kate Rudolph’s work, she gives us a future that makes sense, there is equality, it’s not perfect but it makes so much more sense. And I adore the Detyen’s because they are all the things Alpha H’s are supposed to be, with an extra dose of respect along with it. What can possibly be sexier than that?
Shayn and Naomi’s story has an added twist in it, with her ability, I like how it's not infallible or magic, instead it comes with a whole new set of problems to work around. There are some very sinister things going on in places and I was biting my nails waiting to see how it would all play out. Something about that kind of situation just makes my skin crawl which really added to the anticipation while reading, and the fact that Shayn and his brothers are not a part of some group or army but completely on their own, makes is exciting because I can see a whole new level of suspense happening with the bad guys in this story. (Picture me rubbing my hands in gleeful anticipation).
I honestly and freely review this book received as a Free Arc.

Listen to the universe
This author always manages to put her Detyen warriors where they need to be before they reach their fatal hour, and I love it. This book is a fantastic addition to the series. The author adds in an orphaned Naomi who can see everything except for what is right in front of her. Shayn and Naomi end up being exactly where they need to be to save each other and find their HEA. I can’t wait to see what happens in the next book.

Shayn is only half-Detyan and he and his brothers are anxious to know if they will have to pay the Denya-price - dying at 30, if unmated. To try and answer this question Shayn goes to a research centre, where he meets Naomi. Naomi has psychic powers that have be studied by the centre for years and hadn't realised how her life is controlled and abused by the scientists at the centre. However, reality comes with a bang and Shayn and Naomi decide to escape the centre together.

The interest and suspense starts quickly and is maintained through out the book creating a fast moving enjoyable story. The H and h were both likeable, with strong characters who supported each other through their adventures. This was the 7th book in the series but could happily be enjoyed as a stand alone with it's own HEA, but I wonder what fates awaits Shayn's brothers...?

The book starts with Naomi restrained on a table, and it just goes crazy from there. I read this book rather quickly, lots of drama, heart-pounding moments in this book. The Hero, Shayn is a swoon-worthy guy and I enjoyed the interactions with Naomi and his brothers. I would recommend this book. The only reason it isn't a five-star book is that Naomi "bought into" the fated mate thing I thought a little easy. Also, I would have liked to see a little more closure with the "bad guy" in this book.

This was my first book by this author so hence the first in this series that I have read. I love a good alien read and this seems to fit the bill, a very enjoyable read, plenty of drama/suspense and passion. This was easily read as a standalone, not having read any of the others, which didn't matter, you do get to meet some of Shayn's brothers but it is not necessary to have the backstory to understand what is going on.

Shayn, like his brothers, is half Detyen / half Oscavian, and are 'cursed' to die when they reach 30 unless they find their fated mate, their Denya. Being a half breed, they are not sure if this curse applies and so travels to a research facility in Oscavia in the hope of finding out more. During his first few hours there, whilst looking around, he feels an unmistakable pull that takes him to another patient there, his Denya!

Naomi has been at the facility since she became an orphan many years ago. She has psychic abilities which Dr Pitner believes they can improve, so she has been tested, poked and prodded for years, not knowing anything else in her life. Until she meets Shayn at the facility and feel an immediate attraction to him, being drawn to him, but she is unsure why. She has some nasty and unsettling visions involving both her and Shayn and knows they are in danger and have to leave the facility. They face a lot of difficulties together and have lots of obstacles to overcome, they are in danger and are pursued and have to fight to be together.

A good read, I enjoyed it, plenty of action and suspense along with heat and passion. I look forward to reading more in this series.

Wow! This really packed a punch with Naomi as a girl who was totally a brainwashed super psychic. Shayn was super adorable. I couldn’t help but to like both of them. I liked the extra twist of Shayn and his brothers being only have Detyen and not knowing if they had limited time. There was plenty of action and space adventure to enjoy.

I read all the books so far in this series and in that whole time there was never one of them that I didn’t like and this latest book is so good. Naomi was left as an orphan after her parents died and was taken in by Morgyn a scientist that works for Sola Corp that are studying and looking for ways to enhance her abilities because she is a psychic and very talented and worth a lot them so when she gets a vision that her life is in danger from the scientist and a blue alien man saves her she jumps at the chance to leave the only place she has called home. Shayn Nazade is on a mission to get answers for his brothers and himself because they are halfbreeds part Detyen and part Oscavian and they all want to know is are they all going to die when they reach thirty as is the price they pay if they are not mated to denya or fated mate and does it make a difference not being a full Detyen he has come to Sola Corp for the answers but what he finds is his Denya in a human woman and what follows is a world wind of trouble trying to keep his mate safe after escaping and out of the clutches of Sola Corp and Morgyn. But his mate Naomi gets caught again after they are separated and he feels helpless but now with his brothers at his side they makes plans to save them both once he is inside again but will he get to her in time before they harm her. Escaping again with her and with threats coming for them at every turn will the ever be safe again and how far must they all run to be out of there reach maybe earth is the answer that they are looking for.

Shayn is book 7 in the Mated to the Alien series, and it's been a while since we've been in this series (we took a detour into the lives of the Detyen Warriors). The book follows closely behind the rest of the series, but as with most of them (aside from Krayter and Kayleb) you don't have to read any of the others to enjoy this book. All of them are great, so I definitely say you should give them a go!

In Shayn we meet a cadre of aliens who are only half Detyen, their other half being Oscavian (they're purple people that we meet frequently through the series as their empire is rather large and sprawling in this universe). The brothers LOOK completely Detyen, but they don't know if they will be subject to the Denya price(death at 30 if they don't find their mate) like full Detyens or not. This book is their adventure in attempting to figure out that question.

Shayn, the elder brother who is just the sweetest darned thing, finds his Denya in Naomi, a human who has been raised by Oscavians and 'tested' on for the last 15 or so years of her life. She is a sadly sheltered creature, but pretty darned brave nonetheless. Her AI, Aileen, is my favorite part of the book! Such snark!

The book is full of action, sweet romance, a bit of steamy yummyness, some amazing brotherly love, and some scheming Oscavians. I have no idea if we'll get the other two brothers' stories, but I hope so! Keep em coming!

Shayn is a Detyen half breed. His father was Detyen and his mother was Oscavian. What will that mean for Shayn and his two brothers in terms of the Detyen Price or will they even have a Denya (fated mate)? Will they be immune to the price of death at the age of thirty if they are not mated to their Denya or will their half breed biology void this curse. Searching for answers, Shayn arranges a meeting with Sola Corp, a research facility in Oscavia, hoping the scientists and doctors there can help him find the answers. During his first few hours in the facility, he sees HER, his Denya!
Naomi Beck is a young woman with psychic abilities who has lived at Sola Corp for the past 14 years since the death of her parents when she was a young girl. Taken in by Dr. Morgyn Pitner of Sola Corp, Naomi has been tested, poked and prodden and surgically examined throughout her entire time there. Until she see HIM. Who is he and why does she feel so drawn to him? Unsettling and terrifying visions come and Naomi knows that the time has come for her and Shayn to leave. The couple face many hardships and dangers during their escape but know deep in their hearts they are meant to be together forever. I love this story!! I can't wait to read about Shayn's brothers and hopefully some peeks of Shayn and Naomi's life in the future. I was given an ARC of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it without any compensation.

More sexy Detyen derring-do

When you're a Detyen, you don't have a biological clock. You have a time bomb - and if you don 't mate by age thirty, it goes off, and you're dead. But Shayne and his brothers are half-Oscavian (Hey. It happens.) Does that mean they must pay the Denya price? Shayn, the eldest, leaves Honora Station to search for answers. He ends up at an Oscavian corporate research facility, but before he can get his answers, he finds his denya! But she's some kind of surgically induced psionic lab rat, and the Corp. ain't about to let go of her. Thus begins another trademarked Kate Rudolph action/adventure romance. Shayn is the most dedicated, determined, and slightly devious Detyen yet - and with baby brother backup, he fights, sneaks, and schemes to get himself and his beloved Naomi to freedom, safety, and HEA. Tons of action, killer suspense, heartless villains, a heroine who fights with her mind and her heart, and some very steamy human/Detyen interaction - this one has more of everything we love about the Mated to the Alien series. Especially more Detyens! This is a voluntary ARC review.

Finding his fated mate!
By sewsummore
Shayn was a hybrid with a Detyen father and a Oscarvian mother. Since his father and mother were not fated mates, his father died at the age of thirty and he hopes that he and his brothers will escape the same fate. In his search to find answers he travels to the renown "Sola Medical Research Facility" in the hope that they can give him and answer he wants. Instead her finds his fated mate Naomi. The facility had been home to Naomi for many years but when her life is in danger they escape together. The danger is not over and together they have many adventures and face much danger before they are able to live a life together. This book appealed to me and I found it every bit as enjoyable as I had hoped.

This is such a great new addition to this series. As a hybrid with an Oscavian mother and a Detyan father who was not his fathers true mate Shayn and his brothers have no idea if they will still have to pay the Detyan price. If Detyens don't find their true mate by the age of 30 they die. In search of answers he heads to a medical center where he meets his true mate Naomi she has been kept sheltered and tested on for over 15 years. When he sees she in danger from the very people that "raised" her he knows they must escape and what follows is an epic adventure through the universe. Can he and Naomi escape the fate the villian's have in mind for them? This is such a fun read there is plenty of action, romance and of course lots of steam. I really hope to read about Shayn's younger brothers in future books.

another great book by Kate Rudolph. this book is about 2 completely different ppl, different species and one who has been an unwitting prisoner to be experimented on most of her life. the other is desperate to find answers that affect not only his life and possible early death but those of his 2 brothers as well.
story line is well written, cohesive and nicely paced. u don't lose interest because there are no boring parts. the end for me kind of came a bit abruptly and might have been able to be finished off just a bit better but otherwise I loved the book and love this author. great character development, and excellent use of emotions, descriptions and made u feel u were right there living thru it with the characters.
I received this book free as an advanced reader copy and I voluntarily leave this honest review.

Add one Detyen/Oscavian Hybrid Alpha to one running scared Psychic human and et voila another fab book in the Mated to the Alien series!

Shayn is the perfect mix of Alpha hero with a good dollop of respect for his Denya. Naomi may be psychic but she still can't see the wood for the trees when it comes to sorting out who she is in most danger from!

All the sleekitness of the baddies (brilliant home grown word, I must use it more often when describing bad guys!) really made my blood boil, using so called mental illness of Naomi as a a reason to fear her, grrrrrr. We also have the added dynamic that Shayn isn't a soldier or mercenary or part of any other structured organisation. It's just him and his brothers against the villains.

Well written fast paced story full of action, danger and sizzling chemistry

This is another fab read for the series and I love how it followed it's own path, making for a unique and totally engaging story. Shayn and Naomi end up at the same research centre and once they meet, all bets are off! They sneak away but the long arm of the research company keeps reaching out for them. It'll take luck, family and determination to try and get out of their clutches and off for an HEA. It was an exciting read and I found myself on the edge of my seat, regularly. Good fun!

This is the seventh book in this series. I have read and enjoyed all the books.
The love between Shayn and Naomi is so romantic.
I started to read this book SHAYN in the early evening and couldn't put it down I sat up and read the whole book to the end. Wow what an adventure. So love these books and can't wait till the next book. If you love science fiction/fantasy then you will also love this series.

This is the 7th book in the series but it can be read as a stand-alone. Shayn is only half Detyen but does he still share their fate? When he goes in search of answers, he finds his denya/mate. Naomi was orphaned as a child and raised by scientist. She has special gifts and when she realized she is being used she decides to run away with Shayn. Fast-paced read with plenty of drama and lots of steam. The chemistry between the characters is steamy and the story draws you in from beginning to end. I loved it!

This series just keeps getting better. Shane and Naomi meet in the unlikeliest of places, but there is no denying their instantaneous attraction. From then on there is nothing but trouble following them. Warning, do not start this book in the evening unless you plan to stay up all night.

The heroine of the book is Naomi, a young woman living at the Sola Corp compound on Oscavia, a planet on the edge of the empire. Naomi’s parents were both killed when she was 12 and she was left alone, the only human among the purple hued Oscavians. Humans were considered to be exotic on this side of the galaxy, so Dr. Morgyn Pitner took Naomi under her wing and had her living on the Sola Corp compound where she was tested and experimental surgeries were performed, generally on her her brain, in an attempt to improve and refine the visions.

The hero is Shayn NaZade, a Detyen, which means he’s a tall humanoid with blue skin. Detya, the home planet, had been destroyed about 100 years earlier. No one knew who had perpetrated the crime or why, but one day the planet had gone up in flames and billions of people had died. The only survivors were those close enough to ships to escape or those who had been off planet at the time. Shayn was a hybrid between his father’s full Detyen blood and his mother’s full Oscavian blood. Full blooded Detyens must meet and join with their fated mate, called a denya, before their 30th birthday or they will die. Shayn’s father, who loved his Oscavian wife dearly, died on his 30th birthday because they weren’t fated mates. Since he wasn’t a full blood Detyen, Shayn, at 28 years old, has decided to turn himself over to Dr. Morgyn Pitner and the other scientists at Sola Corp to see if they can help determine if he will die if he hasn’t found his denya by the time he turns 30.

As Dr. Pitner shows Shayn around the compound, she leaves him to make a call. On his own, he lets his feet guide him where they will and that’s when he saw Naomi walking toward him. He knew immediately that she was his denya.

Now that Shayn has found his denya, does he really need to stay and let the Sola Corp run tests on him? And how does Naomi feel, knowing that he thinks she’s his denya? Does she reciprocate his feelings? If so, how does she get away from Dr. Pitner and the Sola Corp? This is a fun and exciting book that explores these and other questions. And since there are other books in this series (you don’t have to read them first) there are bound to be other situations that will be just as much fun to explore. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and look forward to reading other works by Ms. Rudolph.

For me this book was a bit of a bland predictable read. Maybe it was the pacing that made it seem like a long short read, I just felt meh about it.

Naomi has been under the “care” of Dr. Morgyn Pitner for 14 years. I use that term loosely as the majority of doctors in this series are really pretty scary callous SOB’s and this doctor is no different.

My take on Naomi is that she’s either very naïve, un-inquisitive, or just a touch stupid but never in the 14 years since she’s been under the doctor’s “care” has she said no to anything they have done to her. They have performed numerous tests and surgeries, her resistance is pretty much token a small push from them and she melts faster than cotton candy in water. She only gets a backbone and starts realizing things are not what they seem when she meets Shayn.

Shayn while 28y/o comes across at times as very immature. His interactions with his twin 24y/o brothers borders on 14y/o behavior, they end up in a pile on the floor as they wrestle around. When he realized that Naomi was his denya his worry for his other siblings did take a back seat. He was passive for a lot of the story and went along with what Naomi said, he did have his moments where he would exhibit some more aggressive traits but for the most part he was a bit bland.

Once Naomi and Shayn decide they no longer want to be under the care of Dr. Pitner they escape the facility and to say that they made some rookie mistakes would be mildly putting it. They pretty much had a trail of neon arrows pointing to where they were. Their recapture was predictably inevitable and so was what happened after. During the escape we get to meet Naomi’s AI a very interactive computer program. She is snarky and seems to have a lot of capabilities, however never in the 14 years of Naomi’s treatment did it hint to her that things may not be all that good at the facility. Just didn’t make sense in fact a lot of this story didn’t make sense.

While these two got intimate for me the heat was mild and page skippers to be honest. So while I didn’t dislike the book there wasn’t really much that stood out for me.

I seem to do this quite often 😳 this is my first time reading anything from this series and I can say from experience it can be read as a stand-alone though it did leave me curious about the previous books.

I found Shayn to be a somewhat docile(?) male lead. Oh, he has the Alpha gene when it comes to his denya and he has a secret weapon to back up his growl. But at times he seemed a bit complacent? Not even sure if that's the right descriptor. He is the caregiver, the careful one and it showed in his actions - most of the time 😉.
Naomi compliments his personality well. He knew she had the gift of sight so following her suggestions was never something he second-guessed.
They just clicked
Naomi was a bit more complex as she was raised to believe that she was helping that her sacrifices were for the greater good. In my opinion, those experiences are what provided her with such a strong sense of acceptance when things began to implode.
The flow of the story is pretty steady a couple "OMG No" moments and some very tender scenes between our two main characters.
However, I'm very curious about what happened to the organization -
I want to know more about the hows and whys of Naomi's childhood.
I'm also really curious about the other 'patients'
Also, what did they do to Naomi?
What does AI know that she's not telling? I loved her snark.
I didn't get all my answers but I did enjoy the journey and am looking forward to the next in this series as it stays with this cast.

Shayn NaZade, like his brothers, is half Detyen / half Oscavian. He is not sure if being only half-Detyen makes him susceptible to the Detyen fate where if he hasn’t found his denya (mate) by his 30th birthday, he will die or have to become soulless. So he goes to a research facility on Oscavia to find out if they know. He meets Naomi Beck, a psychic who was orphaned and taken to the facility for continual testing and experimenting on her abilities for almost 15 years. Strangely, she never saw how the scientists there controlled her life and used her for their own gain. But Naomi has some disturbing visions of herself and Shayn and recognizes they are in danger and must leave. Shayn is aware that he has found his denya and now must keep her safe!

When Naomi is captured again, Shayn and his brothers will do anything to save her. But will the scientists ever let go of her? The story line’s suspense never lets up and keeps the reader fully invested. The characters were very likable and protective of each other. This is another fantastic book in this series that I am so pleased to have read!

Shayne is half Detyen and half Oscavian and is unsure how that combination will affect the Detyen price. He goes to a research facility on Oscavian to let them do research on him to find out. He has younger twin brothers and wants to know what future they may have. He doesn't want to or have his brothers to have to pay detyen price if he can help it. When he arrives at Sola Corp the research facility he meets his mate/denya. Naomi. Naomi has lived at Sola Corp for years and she has visions. She has never attempted to leave the place before and feels that the scientist are her family since she lost hers at a young age. When she meets Shayne she is drawn to him and doesn't understand why. Together they flee facility and try to get to the space station that Shayne is from. Naomi is kidnapped and taken back to Sola Corp. Will she ever she Shayne again? Must read to find out.

Shayn, is half Detyen/half Oscavian, he and his brother are looking for answers as most Detyen's die when they reach 30 years of age. He goes to an Oscavian corporate research facility but before he finds answers he finds his mate, his denya. Naomi has been at that facility since she was orphaned years ago. She is a test lab rat so the corporation isn't about to let her go. This is where Shayn shows you how devious, determined, and dedicated to get his mate out of that facility. His baby brother is there to back him up. Shayn fights, sneaks and schemes to get him and Naomi to freedom and to safety. Another great story by Kate Rudolph and Starr Huntress. Highly recommend this series. Next book please. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
