This novel has stolen my heart with it’s beautiful storyline, with the intensity of emotions it awoke in me.
I honestly can’t even remember when was the last time I fell in love with the book so hard…
If I’m not mistaken, it was back in 2018 when I read One Day in December, that was one of my favourite reads that year.
If nothing (but it’s not nothing, it’s everything) this book showed just how amazing Josie Silver ...more

The two lives of Lydia was an emotional ,heartbreaking read but also sweet! My heart broke for Lydia and I was aching for her. The whole book is about Lydia trying to come to terms living without Freddie.
There were moments I find myself crying and others that I have a smile on my face.I loved the writing, it was fast paced and the characters were fantastic, not only Lydia but the rest too.
The ending was sweet I just wanted a little bit more of it!This is the reason it wasn't a ...more

Well.... would it be any different for me to be the outlier on a book? Nope haha! I really struggled with this book and was a very very slow burn of a book.
I think the premise of the book was great.... Lydia adjusting to the love of her life Freddie dying in a car accident. The concept of grief and coping is heavy throughout this book and felt more of ...more
I loved Josie Silver’s first book “One Day in December” so I jumped at the chance to read an early release of this one. Now she is on my must-read list! This book was such a romantic, yet heartbreaking story. The ending made me cry! I loved it! (Although the plot sounded a little far-fetched when my daughter asked about the book I was reading)

Thank you to Random House Ballantine and Netgalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I finished this book misty-eyed and hopeful, just as I anticipated I would. When Freddie Hunter dies in a car accident, Lydia spirals into despair and the prospect of adjusting to a life without her fiancé is unimaginable. However, Lydia discovers a way to return to a world where her teenager sweetheart is alive and none of the tragic events of the past few months has happened. Lydia is living two lives at once, but at what cost?
My heart broke for Lydia. ...more

eARC WAS PROVIDED TO ME BY THE PUBLISHER AND NETGALLEY FOR A FAIR AND HONEST REVIEW
... (very light spoilers ahead) ...
Let me just start off this review by saying - WOW. That’s the word I had in my mind the entire time I was reading Josie Silver’s book, because quite honestly? This book was fabulous. From the get go, it is chalk full of emotion so well written that you feel as though your heart has been sucker punched about eight hundred times. In the best way, of course.
Before I had picked ...more
The premise of this book sounded amazing, and I really wanted to love it, but I couldn't get invested in the story. A huge positive of this book is that it's an honest representation of the grieving process, but for that same reason it seemed to drag on and it was difficult to motivate myself to keep reading. However, the characters are well-written and three-dimensional. Their kaleidoscope of emotions are brilliantly portrayed, and I thought the alternating "awake" and "asleep" ...more
In this story, we find Lydia at a total loss after losing her fiancé, Freddie, in an MVC. He died, his passenger and friend, Jonah did. This is the story of acceptance and learning to live the life given despite being dealt a huge blow.
The pace of this book is more of a slow burn. I truly enjoyed the concept of alternating chapters of “Awake” ...more
My rating is truly floating between 4 and 4 Stars. There was a lot to love about this book.
The Concept- The concept of this book was creative but reminiscent of something I read and loved earlier in the year. That book was The Life ...more
