A teen is snatched after her kung fu class and must figure out how to escape—and rescue another kidnapped prisoner—in this chilling YA mystery.

When Savannah disappears soon after arguing with her mom’s boyfriend, everyone assumes she's run away. The truth is much worse. She’s been kidnapped by a man in a white van who locks her in an old trailer home, far from prying eyes.

Many thanks to EdelweissPlus and the publisher for providing me with a DRC of this title for review purposes. All opinions are my own.

April Henry has done it again. She has turned out ANOTHER solid mystery/thriller story perfect for middle school and young adult readers. This is a fast-paced thriller that uses multiple perspectives and points of view to draw the reader in. Savannah is new to the area, having moved to Portland with her mom about 7 months ago so they could live with the mom's new

I've read 6/9 of April's YA books and I've given all of them 1 or two stars.

What can I say? I believe in second chances. Or sixth, it seems.

Many thanks to EdelweissPlus and the publisher for providing me with a free DRC in exchange for an honest review.

I think most readers would agree that there are those authors that you read because you know that they are a sure thing. April Henry is one you can trust to deliver. Much like her last installment (Run, Hide, Fight Back) this is a pulse pounding, action thriller.

After her mother finds another boyfriend, Savannah Taylor finds herself living in yet another town in a different state.

Oh don’t worry, it’s not completely like two hours past my bedtime because I thought I would just take a peek at the new Henry book that’ll be due out in April and instead was completely sucked in by the multiple narratives who pushed the story forward at a breakneck speed like her other newer book where one girl has been held captive for almost a year and Savannah is his newest victim.

They decide to fight back.

It’s a pulse pounding, action thriller with a sort of love interest trying to solve

I write mysteries and thrillers. I live in Portland, Oregon with my family.

If you've read one of my books, I would love to hear from you. Hearing from readers makes me eager to keep writing.

When I was 12, I sent a short story about a six-foot tall frog who loved peanut butter to Roald Dahl, the author of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. He liked it so much he arranged to have it published in an
