This book, Scott Free, was a bit of a shocker in places. It's the story of a young black man who moves from New York to San Francisco and the different jobs and relationships he has on the way. The actual biographical part of it is interesting, because there are a variety of events in the book. But I have to say, the amount of strong swearing and drug use and frequent sex acts depicted in the book made it hard to read at times. Scott Free is a story in which the protagonist moves from New York City to San Francisco where he hopes to establish himself in the movie industry. In order to survive he accepts a cleaning job because it offers a place to stay and meals. His coworkers are a quirky group of characters and Scott's interactions with them are interesting-to say the least. His circle of friends eventually increases as do his experiences. Scott Free is an interesting read that is full of the unexpected. A book full of twists and turns that is sure to keep you guessing until the end. *I received a complimentary copy from RABT Book Tours and the author in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.*
