A book encouraging kids to be more environmentally aware and to try and make a difference shouldn't be getting a one star rating. It would have to make some serious assumptions and give out some advice that many kids could never follow for that to happen.
This does that a lot. Especially when it comes to assuming about the financial situation of the target audience. If I were to base this on my own childhood then somewhere between a third and a half of the 101 ways would have been impossible due to financial constraints or my living arrangements. It advises against a lot of things that are only done due to poverty and necessity.
There is also a nationality issue in the pages. It has a weird mix of things that would work better in the United States of America and those that could only work in the United Kingdom. Which could get confusing.
I can't recommend this book to any child or adult. It is ruined by the authors' ideas of financial matters. I will recycle it in some form as every little helps and that is within my means.

Very easy-to-read guide, highlighting a raft of small changes you/your kids can make around the house to help the planet. Quite a lot of the advice is phrased as, 'Here's something you can hassle your parents to do', while it would've been nice to hear, 'Why don't you do this thing yourself to help out your grown-ups (and save the planet while doing so)?' Aside from that minor gripe though, it's a very helpful book.

Wasn't keen. Idea of painting your house twice yearly to absorb or reflect light sums up the book's approach to making a difference.
