I found Amish Country Kidnapping to be a page Turner from the first page. It was scary at times and very unpredictable. I found it to be action packed edge of seat reading. The author added a dash of romance to sweeten the story. I can truthfully say I wasn't bored with this book. It was well written and didn't disappoint.
Someone has kidnapped Rachel Albrect's younger sister Eva and now they are after her too. As Rachel flees from her masked kidnapper, she gets help from Deputy Sheriff Noah Warren as he cruises the community in his police car. He scares off the kidnapper for the time being but who ever is after her continues to track her down trying to kidnap her. It seems there is more than one person after Rachel and they're getting desperate. They will stop at nothing and Rachel has no idea why they're after her or what they want from her. Where is Eva and is she alive or dead?
Rachel and Noah knew each other in their youth. They loved each other but Noah was English and Rachel was Amish. Noah's parents move away in order to split up the young couple. Now they both realize they still have feelings for each other. Rachel is a widow and Noah lost his first wife in an accident. Has too much time passed or is their love still forbidden?
I would recommend this book to fans of Mary Alford and readers of Amish Fiction or Suspense Fiction.

Amish Country Kidnapping was a good read. I don't usually read a lot of Amish novels, but I enjoyed this one and loved that it had a nice suspense aspect. :)

The characters were interesting. I liked how the hero and heroine had a past and so you could understand why there would be such a connection right away. I did feel like some of the actions were a bit unbelievable...mainly how often the bad guys were right there to try something. That was really the only thing that kept me from really enjoying the story.

All in all, Amish Country Kidnapping was enjoyable. If you like Amish and romantic suspense stories, then I think you might like this one too.

I have read several book by this author and they have always been very good. This book however is the best I have read from her. It is so intense and action packed I didn't move from my comfy place until the last word was read. It is so well written that the author had me reading as fast as I could to find out the ending.

The story centers around Rachel's sister who has been kidnapped. There seems to be no trace of her sister anywhere. The intriguing part is whoever has her sister wants Rachel as well. They will stop at nothing to get Rachel. The intensity grew as these mysterious men kept trying to get to Rachel.

I really enjoyed Noah and how determined he was to protect Rachel. His puts his life in danger as he fiercely protects her. I couldn't believe how many near tragedies happened to Noah as the men never gave up trying to get Rachel The big question is why do they want Rachel and why do they have her sister?

I thought the author did an excellent job of keeping who was after Rachel and why they were so desperate to get her a secret for most of the book. I think that is why I loved the story so much. The author didn't give anything away but kept me so involved in trying to figure out why they need both Rachel and her sister. There is a past between Noah and Rachel that is explored a little but it is not the main focus of the story. The faith element is evident throughout the book and adds hope and trust to an exciting nail biting story. The ending is action packed and filled with a few surprises. I think I was holding my breath at times because the story is so intriguing and kept me guessing with twists at unexpected moments. I am excited to know that the author's next book be will coming out March 2020.

I received a copy of this book from the author. The review is my own opinion.

Amish Country Kidnapping
By: Mary Alford
This is a Love Inspired Suspense that is a fast paced story with suspense around every corner. Waking up with someone trying to kidnap you would be a terrifying moment. Rachel’s sister is gone and can she depend on her first love to save her and find her sister? You are on the edge of your seat and holding on from the very start. There is plenty of mystery to be uncovered and solved.
I was given a complimentary copy if this book. All opinions are my own.

The action and drama begin immediately in this story of a young Amish widow who escapes from a kidnap attempt, only to find that her younger sister has already been abducted. From that point on, Rachel Albrecht faces increasing danger as she and Deputy Sheriff Noah Warren attempt to find her sister Eva. Rachel soon realizes that she isn't just facing physical danger --- she is also at risk emotionally because this "Englischer" deputy sheriff is the one who stole her heart years ago and then broke it when he and his family moved away.

Amish Country Kidnapping is Mary Alford's first attempt at writing Amish suspense and she has certainly succeeded. I found myself surprised many times by the events that were unfolding because there was no apparent reason for these two young Amish women to be hunted. This book is everything a suspense novel should be: intriguing, intense, and action-packed but fans of Amish fiction will also be thrilled because Alford shows the peace and forgiveness that is part of the Amish way of life that most people find so appealing.

Amish Country Kidnapping is an enjoyable read and I recommend it to all who enjoy romantic suspense and Amish fiction.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author and I am voluntarily sharing my honest thoughts in this review.

Amish Country Kidnapping is a fantastic mystery written by Mary Alford. This story is filled with drama and suspense at every turn. The author has done an amazing job creating her characters in this story. Rachel Albrecht is a very strong but living Amish widow who has been thrown into a kidnapping plot and has no idea why anyone would want her. When Rachel discovers her younger sister is missing things take a dramatic turn. When Rachel's childhood friend turns up as Rachel is fleeing for her life this amazing mystery ramps up. As These two try to piece together who is behind the disappearance of Rachel's younger sister and the attempted kidnapping of Rachel lost feelings between the two start to resurface. When this story starts to really play out the kidnapping attempts become an everyday occurrence plus more deadly. When the conclusion hits you will be left in awe as for the reason.

I was not given a complimentary copy of this book to read and review. I was not approached to post a favorable response. I absolutely could not put this book down. I have rated this story with five stars for meeting my expectations of a wonderful story that I can highly recommend to others.

Congratulations to Mary Alford on writing such a drama filled story for her readers enjoyment. I look forward to her next book. All opinions are my own.

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Amish Country Kidnapping. I really enjoy Mary's work. This is a great example of her books. It's well written, action packed and full of faith. I know you are going to love it.

Amish widow Rachel Albrecht woke to find a man standing over her. His hand over her nose and face.

She manages to get away from the man thinking only of her sister. When she entered her sister's room it is empty. She's been taken. She runs barefooted through the woods to the neighbors. A car stops to help her. Her rescuer is her first love, an Englischer.

Deputy Sheriff Noah Warren couldn't believe his eyes. Standing before him on the road was the only woman who had stolen his heart. She stood in her nightgown, barefooted on the icy road. "Are you hurt he asks," "I think they have my sister." she told him.

Thus starts a journey to find her sister Eva, stay one step ahead of the kidnappers, and not fall in love again. God has a plan for these two, a plan for a hope and a future. God has a plan for you too. Give Him you heart and watch Him move in your life.

This story has the potential to be a great read. The characters were well-developed and the relationship between the two main characters was a great hook.

The reasons behind two stars: First, they were attacked everywhere they went even when they were in hiding but they continued to take unnecessary risks (ie. leaving the police station to walk across the street to get food). I kept trying to figure out who was double crossing them but there was never an explanation of how the attackers were able to find them. That would have been an interesting twist. The run .... hide .... attack ....escape routine became predictable and uninteresting.

Second, the end lacked continuity with the rest of the story and wasn't believable. The whole "father she forgot she had" seems like a stretch. Also, I reread this part because I thought I must not be understanding it but I'm still confused. It seems that the man who was wooing Eva gave her the key to keep it secret. But then, the attacker was the man who was wooing Eva and he was looking for the key. I'm confused but maybe I'm missing something or not reading it correctly.

This was a fast paced story that was brimming with suspense. Mary Alford always starts her books off with a bang and doesn’t stop until the last page.
Rachel is the victim of an attempted kidnapping. As she is fleeing for her life, Noah, a Deputy and her estranged childhood boyfriend, comes to her aid. As she finds out her sister, Eva has been kidnapped, Rachel will stop at nothing to find her...and the kidnappers will stop at nothing to take Rachel by whatever means necessary.
I really liked the ending, how the whole storyline tied together. It was a great twist and kept me guessing until it was all revealed.
The reason behind 4 instead of 5 stars was I felt the middle part of the story was too much of the same thing happening over and over. It would have been more believable with a couple less ambushes from masked men, shootouts, and the kidnappers getting away without a trace every time.
I received a copy of this book from the author. All opinions in this review are my own.

Her sister is missing and she's next!

Finally! An Amish Love Inspired Suspense novel set in Montana! I think nearly every other state has been represented already, OK, maybe not Alaska and Hawaii and Rhode Island, but still...

Anyway, Amish Country Kidnapping is a wonderful romantic suspense novel with plenty of danger and romance, not to mention scary winter car chases, to satisfy the heart of any Mary Alford fan.

I really liked how determined Rachel was to find her missing sister. She'll brave a Montana winter, her ex-boyfriend, and any number of bad guys to bring her little sister home. But, I think it was the somewhat non-typical Amish fiction ending that I liked the best. Of course, if you want to know what that is you'll just have to snag yourself a copy of Mary Alford's exciting Love Inspired Suspense novel Amish Country Kidnapping.

(I received a copy of this book from the author. All opinions are entirely my own.)

Kidnapping in an Amish community . . . What could be the reason behind masked men taking Eva and attempting to grab her sister Rachel? Deputy Noah Warren, an old friend and love interest of Rachel, takes on the case, trying to solve the crimes and keep her safe. The book is fast-paced and suspenseful, but has more violence than one would expect in an Amish story, and Noah doesn’t show much remorse when he has to shoot dangerous men. Even Rachel doesn’t act very nonresistant, fighting back and injuring her attackers. The story does keep you guessing and seems realistic, except for the fact an Amish bishop would allow remarriage after divorce. I received a copy from the author. All opinions are my own.

If you are looking for a book that is a real page turner maybe Amish Country Kidnapping is the book for you.
Written by Mary Alford, who is a new author for me, the story is about Rachel Albrecht an Amish widow, whose teenage sister goes missing. Rachel's life is also in danger, as well as her sister, Eva's.
Deputy Noah Warren, a former Amish, and Rachel's past love, race to save Eva and find out why both their lives are at stake.
This book is full of suspense and will keep you turning the pages into the wee hours of the morning to find out the outcome of the danger facing Rachel and her sister.

Widow Rachel Albrecht’s sister Eva has not returned home. Rachel has fallen asleep waiting on her. Early in the wee hours of the morning she wakes to a masked man in her home. Rachel runs through Eva’s room and noticed her bed has not been sleep in and manages to escape. Running barefooted in the snow, a car stops to help her. Noah Warren, an Englischer deputy and old friend gets her into his car and takes her to safety.
Will Rachel and Noah stay alive long enough to learn why Eva had gone missing or why someone is trying to capture Rachel? Find out what Eva and Rachel have been targeted

A hard to put down read. Lots of action, suspense, and a little romance. Loved it.

Amish Country Kidnapping
Mary Alford
You wouldn’t think of high crime in an Amish settlement such as kidnappings. Though that is what is intriguing about this Mary Alford story that draws you in and doesn’t let you go until the very end.
Noah, the deputy, takes a lickin and keeps on tickin! Though he is determined to save Rachel from all the kidnapping attempts while finding her missing sister, he is praying it can be done.
Mary Alford brings you intrigue, romance, and characters you fall in love with.

Amish Country Kidnapping starts off with the action on the first page and doesn't let up until the HEA and a sweet epilogue. Both main characters are very likable, and it's easy to hope for success for this second-chance romance. Honestly, Amish stories are not a genre that I normally care for, but the suspense in this one kept me glued to the book until the wee hours of the morning. I definitely plan to read more of Mary Alford's work. I received a complimentary copy. I chose to write a review and share my opinion of this thrilling romance.

An excellent story of suspense in Amish Country. Rachel is Amish and someone is trying to kidnap her and her sister is missing. Her old beau, Noah is the deputy who helps her. Even though Noah left years ago, old feelings come back. But they have to find out why kidnappers would want a couple of Amish women who don't have anything they could want. When the truth comes out you will be surprised how everything works out. I received a complimentary copy and I am voluntarily reviewing.

Unexpected and unexplained danger fill the story from the beginning. Who would want to kidnap Rachel? There is more to this mystery than she realizes. Through suspense and fear, Rachel trusts God and prays He will help. A friend from the past could be the key to her safety and to learning about her family. Great story. THIS BOOK WAS SO GOOD!!! <3 Definitely would recommend that you pick up a copy! The characters and storyline were spot on! A friend introduced me to this book series and I am so glad she did because it has become one of my favorites! The reason why I gave it 4 stars is because the storyline was kind of repetitive but the story did hold my attention and was very intriguing!

Why does someone want Rachael, a simple Amish woman? She doesn't have much and lives a simple life. And why is her sister missing also? There is a lot of shooting going on as Noah works to keep her safe while trying to figure out what is happening. It is suspenseful to the bitter end.
