Designed to accompany Joy Hakim's ten-volume A History of US or as a stand-alone reference, this collection of great American documents is ideal for all students of American history. Filled with primary sources, the Sourcebook and Index traces the gradual unfolding of ideas of freedom in

This is such a neat book and a great resource. The whole book is excerpts from important documents in America's history. Each document has an intro telling background info and why the document is important. Definitions of unfamiliar words are in the margins so you don't have to look them up. Very effective for US history lessons.
