Anjuu is a Shadow. She is an assassin and bodyguard to the Queen. The Queen is completely crazy and will eliminate anyone who stands in her way. She is so oppressive that a revolution is brewing. Kallio, the Queen sends Anjuu to quell the rebellion and kill anyone associated with it. The quest starts with a certain determination on the part of Anjuu, but, she will meet different participants in the conflict that may affect her decisions.
The story is well-written and the plot is outlined from the start. Adventure, battles, new friendships, and treachery are all that it takes to make this a 5 Star rated book. However, there are lengths that make the reader skip pages and certain inconsistencies that has the reader come back to try to grasp the story. In addition, the ending leaves to be desired. 4 Stars.

High fantasy at it’s best!

There are a lot of written mistakes in this book, and after a while, it becomes annoying because there's so much of it.
Then there's the story in itself.
The creatures were okay, but the world building was seriously lacking, and the storyline was a cliché.
No. Just, no.

Story is a little confusing and jumps around a lot
The story is a little consisting and jumps around a lot. Most of the people in charge are just evil not smart evil, but simply crazy.
Anjuu - never really could bound with her. She had two modes kill or be captured. She is almost like a robot for most of the book....
